My husband and I have two large breed, needy dogs ( a German Shepard and a Border Collie). They usually travel with us and we have a hard time boarding them because not only are they attached to each other, they are a part of our family and it's hard to be without them and for them to be without us. With that, we were apprehensive about leaving them with a pet sitter and wondered how the dogs would get used to her, them having not been around very many strangers. I searched the reviews and local pet sitting services in Tallahassee. There was one company /person whose reviews are all positive and I thought, well maybe I will give her a call (Sunny "For Pets Sake). Feeling weary, I gave her a call and spoke to Sunny over the phone to set up the initial appointment. Sunny, instantly, put all our fears to rest. On the initial meeting, once she arrived and sat down in the living room, my crazy, weary, & apprehensive border collie (who doesn't always love strangers) jumped next to her on the couch and instantly started wagging his tail, sniffing and gave her kisses. My German Shepard sat on the other side of her and was also instantly doing the same. Before long they were competing with each other for her attention like I wasn't even there. It was such a relief that they could immediately sense her good nature and love. Once we signed our agreement with Sunny, at "For Pets Sake" we were emailing back and forth regarding the special accommodations she was making for us to ensure successful visits for our dogs. During that communication process, she was extraordinarily prompt to respond and made our requests seem non-burdensome to her (regarding feeding instructions/ play/ and entry). When we left on the first day, she was so diligent to let us know everything was ok, gave an update on how the dogs were doing/disposition, and sent us photos for peace of mind. She continued to do this for the duration of our trip. Sunny's professionalism, ability to communicate, and trustworthiness are extraordinary. Our dogs absolutely loved her and although we don't travel much without them , it gave us the ability to enjoy our time away- knowing our babies were in the BEST hands. I would highly and whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone in Tallahassee, as she is in a class of her own. This was my first experience with For Pets Sake. Sunny did such a great job! She followed all the instructions I had listed on the note I left for her. She sent me texts to let me know how my cats were doing and included pictures. Her rates are reasonable and she responded to phone calls, text and emails every time in a timely fashion. Because of Sunny we were able to go out of town for longer than just overnight! This was our first time using her service and can say we WILL being using her again! We are new in town and were so fortunate to find Sunny. We have a large breed puppy with lots of energy. Sunny brings her dog Popeye to play and socialize with our dog. They have a blast! She is very flexible and has come on short notice. We work long hours at the hospital and often don't get off on time.
