I have been taking Chrissy here for at 2years and it was a couple of times I was not satisfied with her grooming but I kept coming because of closeness to my house. They always call you thirty minutes ahead of time to let you know that your pet will be ready which I appreciate but this last time really did it for me. Upon arrival and paying for my baby service I took her to realize that her toe nails had not be clipped and her grooming job was not at my satisfaction. I have no problem paying for the service I received at anytime but we had the discussion what I wanted for my baby and by that time, time was not on my hand. I can't say enough about how much I like this place! So, I'm a new client since I moved into the neighborhood. I called today to see if I could make an appointment. Not only could the get my dog in today, but they also trimmed my cat's claws. Cats hate everything, so she's a terrible judge, but she looks fine an no more snarky that when we arrived. My dog was groomed, nails trimmed, and looks and smells better than she has in months! And it was affordable! And she came out with a simple but cute holiday bandanna! Absolutely most affordable grooming in Tallahassee! My roommate used to take her golden doodle here before she moved and my other friend takes his australian shepherd here for full grooming and they are so inexpensive and such great service. I took my canaan dog (does not need hair cuts) for a bath and nail trimming and it was only $22!! He smells amazing and came with a cute tie dye bandana. They were able to fit me in right away and it only took a couple of hours. 10/10 recommend! read more

I honestly try my best to support local businesses but, there's a drawing line when it comes to honest work. Just like anything in life there are no shortcuts. I brought my furry son named Oreo to Lakeside Grooming and after setting an appointment through the phone it was an ease. I honestly don't know what there thought process was "oh kk we'll just leave his eyes covered in his own hair so he can't see" bruh, if it takes me less then 2 minutes to do it why can't a grooming business do the same? Nonetheless, is it cheap? Yes but, I booked an appointment for a full haircut, nail trim, and teeth cleaning. Service in return? A really bad haircut and decent nail trim but, only $34 so I paid $40 and was on my way out. Quality over Quantity you won't get quality care for your loving dog. Regardless, I refuse to go back and the way they have other customer's dogs caged in a such a odd symmetrical placement truly questions the business itself. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! It cost me $32 to groom my maltipoo which is definitely cheap! I swore my appointment was at noon but apparently I had made it for 11am. When I arrived at noon they said they closed at 1 but would take him anyways and I was so grateful for that since my pup needed a groom super bad! They did an amazing job and called me to tell me because of his knots in his hair, he wouldn't be getting the cut I wanted and I really appreciated them calling me and telling me that so I wasn't surprised when I picked him up. I love places like these which are locally owned and take appointments only. Places like the Pink Poodle do walk-ins and even if I drop my pup off at 10am I sometimes wouldn't pick him up until 5PM! That meant he was sitting in the cage for hours . This place called an hour after I dropped him off and id say they did a marvelous job! His cute little bandana was just adorable! This place is amazing! I started going here after finding them online. If you have a poodle GO HERE! I have a small standard (under 40 pounds) and it's only $35! Before this place I hopped around a bit with horrible experiences... usually I'd pick my dog up and although her hair was cut, she always had tons of hairs falling off her and was dusty like they didn't bathe her after shaving her... (a few places did say they 'wash her before shaving') which, I don't believe they even washed her at all.. plus charging anywhere from $70-$100 just for a complete shave because she's a poodle'. Pretty crazy! My poodle always loves going here and I love that you can bring your dog anytime throughout the day (with an appointment) and they call you to pick your dog up within a few hours! I hate leaving my dog from 8am-5pm in a cage all day like at other grooming places. I also really appreciate that they always put either bows or a bandana on my dog. She smells amazing, looks great and they're very fast as well as accommodating. I've also called a few times on a crunch and was fit in within a day or two. I would recommend this place to anyone that asks! read more

Seems to be a problem with every appointment time I'm given. Once I was halfway there and got a call saying they had too many dogs, so I shouldn't come even though I had scheduled the appointment two weeks in advance. Today, I got my dog there 15 minutes early, but he ended up having to stay in a crate 3 hours before they even began grooming him. I scheduled this appointment a week earlier. My poor little man shouldn't have had to wait in a crate that long. Price is good and grooming is acceptable, but I think I should find another place. read more

So very disappointed with the grooming job on our once-fluffy Maltipoo, Mary. We've taken her to this groomer pretty regularly for 2 years. Once before, she was given a poodle cut and, after that happened,we made it clear we only wanted her to be trimmed in a fluffy Malty trim and NOT a poodle cut. When my husband delivered Mary for her grooming appointment, he actually reviewed their grooming instructions on file for Mary. Nevertheless, when he picked her up several hours later, he was shocked and more than a little upset to see our little pup, barely recognizable. Even her brother (another pup) backed away from her once he sniffed her.....he was very put off by her and that's never ever been his reaction to her. We like the people at Lakeside, but after today, we feel they misrepresented themselves....my husband did his best to ensure she got the best non-poodle cut possible when he took her in this morning, unfortunately, this did not happen. I took my 8 month old medium F1b Goldendoodle here for his first full grooming and I am so impressed. I've never had a long haired dog that required grooming so I didn't really have much direction to give them besides to shave him down 3/4 of the way and leave some hair for looks on tail and around ears and face. He looks so cute and handsome. It was a bit out if the way for me and contacting them for the appointment wasn't the smoothest experience but it was worth it and I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I'm originally from Miami where grooming for my baby can sometimes feel overpriced but at lakeside grooming it feels perfect. I've never gotten a better haircut for my pup Mickey than at Lakeside grooming. They're trained professionals and I believe veterinarians as well if I'm not mistaken, so I know I'm leaving Mickey in good hands. I've never had issues with my appointments and they actually held my boy a little longer because I was at work and couldn't get away. I decided to bring my dog into Lakeside Grooming for a bath & nail trim. I waited about 45 minutes, which was nothing compared to my normal wait times at groomers (she's a big dog). After that time, they brought her back out to me and she looked and smelled much better. Initially, I was content with the results. However, after I arrived back home, I realized small bright orange stains all over the car seat cover. Then, once I let my dog inside the house, I realized she was BLEEDING ALL OVER THE PLACE. Whoever had cut her nails, had clipped too close to her nerve and caused her to bleed. I'm not talking a little bit of blood. I mean she was tracking it all over the house even after I had blotted it for several minutes. I had to look up diy remedies (cornstarch worked after a few times of dipping her nail in and blotting). I've attached a picture of SOME of the blood on my floors. This was nothing compared to the spots I had already cleaned up. I was SO disappointed that no one had told me she was bleeding. I understand that it does happen sometimes, but most groomers will have styptic powder on hand to immediately stop the bleeding. Any time this has happened in the past, the groomer or vet tech has ALWAYS informed me about it which I appreciated. Had I not had a seat cover on my car, the blood would have been directly on my car seats! Overall, this was handled very poorly on their side and I will not be returning. read more

She can't give clear directions and when I Google mapped the directions I got nowhere. Then was told to drive all the way to second hand Sandie's. To be told to turn around and go to publix.
