Terrible experience with for-shore weed control and would not recommend. We paid for summer service and never once after 3 treatments were our weeds gone. After the first service we contacted them to explain whatever they sprayed did not work and for them to come back. They did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. After paying for service I was weekly pulling up weeds and trying to re spray myself. Customer service terrible as well. Also, it should be noted that this company does not pull any weeds either. We watched the man that came for our last service. He was in and out in 3 minutes and didn't even spray anywhere. This company has been servicing my mothers home for several years. Her whole property is small rocks no grass, so she hired them to spread for weeds. In the past we have had them come back several time do to weeds coming back again and and again. This year they came to spray and I was installing a fence on both sides of the property. The front and back yard were both wide open to be sprayed. The next day she found a note in her mailbox stating they were there and did what he could because of construction being done. The men installing the fence and I never saw anyone step foot on the property!!! NO little poison flags were placed on the property and there are weeds everywhere. This guy pulled up wrote a note and left!! Not the best way to do business. This company has a 1 year guarantee against weeds so now they have to come back and spray again or is this the first time? read more

For-Shore Weed Control is very difficult to deal with. They do not return phone calls and they do not do as promised. I'm looking for a new weed control as a write this. I'm not finding this weed control service effective either. I'm not a chemist, but I can do better myself...... read more

It takes 2 weeks for there product to kill the weeds? WTF are they using? I'l never use them again !!

I have used this company for years and have had NO problems......called in advance because of my dog being outside......done a good job.....pleasant workers . Last week when I realized it was raining I went to bring my dog inside I found the guy from ForShore spraying my stone for the weeds. I asked why he did not call the day before as per usual...no response.....also what good is the treatment if the rain is washing it away. I came in to call the company and he turned got in his truck and left ! When I spoke to Jackie she insisted that he completed the job .....I saw what he did and I still have weeds because he never FINISHED the job. I have contacted them twice (email and phone) . Jackie said Shawn never got the message that I left with her and she apologized that he would call me....that was a week ago !!! What is going on with this once good company ?? Think maybe I should ask for a full refund and find another company. Judy Spray read more

Weed killer was applied on rocks during 18 mph winds this morning 9/30. With wind at that velocity there is bound to be spread affecting other plantings in the area. Please use common sense and wait for a calm day when applying chemicals. read more

We've used them for three years and at first they were great. This year I don't know what happened, but the woman who answered the phone was rude, she argued with me that they came (which the didn't) and when they finally did never came back for a second treatment so the weeds were out of control and I ended up pulling them. Which begs the question....why did I pay them? We're going to go with another company obviously this year, don't waste your money on For Shore weed control. read more

Application initially worked well but became less and less effective. Then they doubled the price without warning or notice. When I didnt renew or pay the increase they posted against my credit. Several of my neighbors used them and, to my knowledge, all have dropped their service. I reinforce my rating by saying the service will kill most weeds and worth $150 for my 50x100 lot but not worth over $200 and my neighbors all agreed. read more

For years I was hauling vinegar with salt to kill the weeds in my stone yard only to have them crop up again very quickly. I was referred to For-Shore Weed Control in Brick NJ and called to ask a few questions. They assured me their product was SAFE for our dogs and would take care of the weeds even in a stone yard. Now a month has passed. The weeds are gone and have not returned. The cost was very reasonable and included three treatments throughout the summer and I could call them in between with no charge if any weeds returned. I am thrilled not to be dealing with the weeds myself any longer and my yard looks better than it has in years. read more

Paid to have this company to come out to spray my rock beds as they end up having a lot of weeds during the summer months and I have no time to pick them constantly. They came towards the end of April and I quickly saw the weeds dying. I was thrilled. Fast forward to August and I realized they never came again (they are supposed to come 3 times between March and October). I sent a message stating they never came back and they told me they came June 26th. There's no way that was possible because no sign was left. They told me it was possible it "flew away with the wind". Even if that was the case, I later realized me and my husband were both home that day. Never saw someone spray and never saw a sign. It was also not windy that day. In addition I was picking a good amount of weeds from my gardens which I shouldn't have to do if the spray is effective and they did their second spray. After my complaint I was told they would move up my 3rd visit to be sooner. They came a few days after we spoke and I saw the sign showing they came out to spray. Out of curiosity, I decided to leave it there for a few days to see of it would "fly away". I ended up throwing it out about 5 days later after I got tired of looking at it. To my surprise a week or so later they showed up to spray again which I thought was very odd. Did they realize they messed up and never came the second time? Did they come sooner but not update their schedule to reflect that? I left that sign out (and is still in the rocks as I write this) to see if it would somehow take flight. Nope, and it's been about 4 days. I'm sure the spray works great if applied properly. But being that I needed to pick weeds over the summer after I paid for a service so I wouldn't have to do that is a bit frustrating. read more

I wish that there were 10 stars to give this Company. After years of trying to pull out the weeds by hand, I finally hit my boiling point this year!! I asked my girlfriend how she controlled her weeds and she responded for sure? The Company For Shore!! I called, set up an appointment to get someone out to give me an estimate, he called me when he was at my house, gave me a price for 3 treatments, I told him to go ahead, and he did the treatment right then and there. He also told me that if the weeds come back before my second treatment to please call them. It is a month later, and NO weeds!! My backyard around the pool looks like the stone was just put down, that is how clean everything looks. Great Company, I have and will continue to recommend them to friends. read more
