I come in here ever so often to get bird food for my parrot. Or an occasional bird toy. Or sometimes a wing trim. A lot of rescue birds here. Distressed birds that I wish I could take home. I wish I had more land and space to house more sweeties. The ladies are nice that run the store and always pretty friendly. I wish the store was more centrally located. The ladies at this store are very knowledgeable about birds. They sell just about everything you need for your bird. They have been grooming my conure for several years. They are gentle and do not hurt or frighten my conure Sunny.I have never used the boarding services, but they do have it if you need it. They also board dogs and cats and also groom the cats and dogs. They sometimes have birds to be rehomed and sometimes the prices are nice. And there is a lay away type payment schedule for some birds. read more

I went through a major "parrot phase" for a number of years. I had two African Gray Congos, a Patagonian Conure, a Greencheek Conure, a whole mess of Cockatiels and even a bunch of Budgies. For the Birds and More was my go to place to get talons trimmed, get wings clipped (for the one Gray that wouldn't let me do it myself). to pick up bird treats and toys, and to pick up cages for birds both large and small. When one of my Grays broke a blood feather and wouldn't stop bleeding, I rushed it here and they pulled it for me and got the wound to stop bleeding; they charged much less than a veterinarian would have. I can't tell you how reassuring it was to know that they were there in case of emergencies! I loved my birds. I hand fed all but one of them from babies, so I spoiled them rotten. They had high quality cages, healthy food, ample fresh fruits and veggies and so many toys I don't know when they had time to play with them all. This was my favorite place to get all my bird specialty items. Sherry and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all things bird related and were always friendly and helpful, too! They would help me locate items I needed or give me bird care tips. I don't have my birds anymore - they were adopted out to loving homes - but I still enthusiastically recommend this shop to all my friends who do! read more

I love this place. They do it all. Knowledgeable staff and friendly quirky customer service. I come to buy my millet and cuttle bone in bulk, no where else in town can match the price. Good quality foods and other items for sale. They won't let you leave with something you don't need. If they don't have it, they'll get it or send you to someone who does (example:medicines) Sherry is always fair on her prices and will make a trade if you have something worth trading. I've gotten a conure, two cockatiels and several finches from here. All were hand raised and have been great birds. I had great difficulty trying to purchase a blue and yellow Macaw called Bo (40 yr old bird on consignment ). Sherry put up road blocks ( on 2 different occasions) and ignored my request to buy the bird not sure of the price one quote was $800 another $900 (with cage). I am still interested and they have my contact information. I have visited Bo for 5 hours and would love to have her as part of my family. read more
