Dr. Bashera helped us out in a pinch when our smaller pup was running too fast into the garden and got his side punctured by a tomato cage. He seemed completely fine and not like he cared that they were definitely required a couple stitches. After striking out being able to see our local vet for more than a day or two, I reached out to Dr. Bashera's mobile vet. He was able to get us in the next morning. Set everything up at our house got my little guy mildly sedated, numbed up, and put the stitches together like a seasoned pro. Gave us antibiotics, pain relievers, and an antiseptic spray to keep the area clean. The speed was only slightly slower than taking him to the emergency vet, but based on our past experiences a much lower vet bill. We just had our first visit with Dr. Bashara! We were able schedule a visit right away through text. He was kind, thorough, engaging and clearly loves his patients. He took the time to answer all of our questions and even spent time actually drawing out diagrams to further educate us on the physiology of the conditions our family dog has. His was able to do a full exam and had all the medications/vaccines he ended up needing right in his car. As far as cost, I can't picture an in person vet being much cheaper, and the convenience of having these services at home is so valuable in of itself. DR Bashara did a fantastic job, I have a rottweiler, he was not afraid of her. Dr immediately assessed her limping problem, which last vet did not and did not treat. Dr gave her immediate meds, meds needed for followup treatment and a rx, gave her all needed shots, cleaned ears and treated infection. I read a couple of negative reviews so felt I needed to review him as well - one said that they couldn't get a hold of him - that he never bothered to call back. My experience was completely different. I messaged him last night at 9 pm and got a response this morning. He was at my house at 10:30 a.m. and my pup already feels so much better. We recently moved back to Bakersfield and vet appointments are booked months ahead. That's simply doesn't help if your fur baby started chewing their backside raw (along with constant scratching at her ears). I felt his price was reasonable when compared to going to the animal hospital - I was told the wait might be hours, and the Appt fee is about the same...so it was a no brainer to be in the comfort of my own home and get her treated without all that anxiety. He explained everything thoroughly, was happy to answer questions, and even just chat a little. I would definitely recommend him! read more

Dr. Bashara euthanized my Dog Chewie last September. I wanted to have my Dog euthanized at home. Due to Covid-19, my options were limited. Like other reviews, Dr. Bashara is difficult to reach, and one of only two reasons why I didn't give him a 5 star rating. The Good: Dr. Bashara was very compassionate. He explained the entire procedure. After my Dog was sedated, he stepped outside so my family could say goodbye. The cost was comparable to most vets and less than other mobile vets. The Bad: Reaching Dr. Bashara by phone took some patience. His office, may or may not call you back the same day after leaving a message. After my dog was euthanized, the Dr put my Dog in a plastic bag. While he did explain what he was going to do and offered time for us to leave, I would have preferred a method different than looking like "trash". A previous vet used a blanket or something that looked less like a blue trash bag. read more

Dr Beshara helped heal my collie dog. I called him on a Thursday evening, and he was able to come to my home late the next day. Poor dog had multiple skin wounds and inflammations. I was in tears yesterday as we're new to this area. My Jack Russell couldn't walk and I've never heard him cry in our ten years together. We contacted over 15 urgent care, animal hospitals and veterinarians in the greater Bakersfield area. Since our dog wasn't critical we couldn't be seen the same day. I felt so helpless and lost. I then saw the mobile vet and called Dr. Bashara immediately. He texted me right back and was here within an hour. It turned out Monty had an infected foot which needed lancing. Dr Bashara performed surgery right in our home on the dining room table. It was incredibly. I'm so appreciative for Dr. Bashara coming to help us transplants. So after trying (begging) to get an appointment at our current Vet, for days and days and without even the courtesy of a call back, we contacted Dr Bashara at the recommendation of two different friends. He came out, diagnosed and treated our 11YO Labradoodle Lucy. His pricing is fair and reasonable and he doesn't upsell a dozen unrelated services. Not professional. Entered my home without waiting for me to let him in and put his magnet on my fridge without any regard to my home. Missed one of my dog's dental status. Said he was good when he wasn't. I had to fully open my dog's mouth for him to see. My other dog had a tooth that needs extracting, but he was trying to pull it out right then and there with his bare hands, no meds, and no prep. After calling numerous vets in town to try and schedule an appointment for my dog and being told they were either emergency only, or not taking new patients, I called The Mobile Vet. I left a voice mail and got a call back in a few hours, and an appointment scheduled for the following day. He arrived on time and my dog loved him, but she loves everyone lol. He was well equipped to handle her and give Stella her shots. I was concerned about her nails and he tried to trim them, but she was too jittery, he did not think they were long enough to require sedation so i appreciated his honesty and his care for my dog. I will reach back out to him at the end of the year when Stella is due for more vaccines, the cost and convenience was worth it in my opinion and Stella was much more comfortable at home than in a vet office. read more
