Terrible service and terrible Chinese food. I called to place an order for carry out. I was rushed, the persons who picked up didn't want to answer any questions and wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. When I arrived, I expected the place to be packed (since they were in such a rush on the phone) however, the restaurant was empty and I was greeted by an unfriendly woman who brought me my food and took my payment. When I asked for hot mustard, she opened what looked like a junk drawer and handed me two old looking packets. When I got home, the food was disgusting. Everything tasted old, the fried rice, the sweet and sour chicken and the egg foo young. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The only good thing I can say is that they gave me a refund when I called to complain. I had to bring the food back, deal with the rude woman who told me I didn't know what I ordered, and angrily threw the food in the garbage. I went in tonight and the lady was coming out of the back and didn't acknowledge me in any way. I proceeded to go get a menu and sit down. I waited about 10 minutes. A caucasian lady walks in and she was greeted very kindly. I was still sitting there waiting to be noticed. A few minutes later, a black male walks in. She says nothing to him. An asian male walks from the back and brings an order, calls out a name, and hands the black male the order in an unwelcoming manner and walks back to the back. I am still sitting while the asian lady is standing asking the caucasian lady if there's anything else she can help her with. Meanwhile, the caucasian lady is untying her bag with her mouth. In walks a Hispanic man. He is greeted halfway decent, better than me and the other black male. After the hispanic man is leaving, she turns to me and asks, what do I need? I didn't want to cause a scene, so I asked for a to go menu. She turbs around and says that she doesn't have one, but reaches in a folder in the back and grabs one and hands it to me. I take it and leave. I go to my car and calls back to the restaurant. The asian lady answers. I tell her that I am the black lady who just left, and I express my feelings of how I was treated. She proceeded to talk over me, then she says, you people should stop being so sensitive. I told her that I would be writing a google review. She said, ok. I hung up. Please, black people, stop supporting these businesses who treat us this way. She was horrible. There were three white people eating. She treated them like they royalty. There it is! The coveted 3.5 stars. IYKYK. This is my fave Cantonese-style restaurant in Central AR. I would eat here more, but I live in NLR, which is a bit of a drive. My fav things to get here are as follows: Assorted Flavors soup, anything that can be dipped in their right proper table mustard, vegetable egg foo young (with portions so healthy, it's guaranteed lunch the next day), any of the tofu dishes, basil chicken, Szechuan wontons...I haven't had a bad thing ever. I'd recommend starting with some hot tea. Although I've never had bad service here, I feel compelled to say that a lack of understanding other cultures-slash-an overblown sense of entitlement has got some folks in a twist here. In a galaxy far far away.... a restaurant was placed inside of a mall's food court. Among the many crap food places to eat.... there stood a restaurant versus your run of the mill eateries. This place was mysterious, stuck at the back end.... this place was a garden. A garden of flavor... (actually, I hate malls and only went to this place once because my mom wanted to, give or take 15 years ago). So! Now that I am grown up enough to have social media accounts this is what I have to say: Amazing! I came here (probably looking like a homeless person) today with dumplings on my mind. I needed something spicy and rich to brighten my day. Most Chinese places around Little Rock are so bland it hurts my heart. They say, "Indicates spicy" but---not so much. Something caught my eye: Szechuan Wontons (fish and seafood haters, there is a world of wontons that are not like eating crabmeat coated in sugar). It said spicy, I'll take it. The wonton covering was not so cooked to death that it was falling apart into a gross mess of doughy goo. The delicious packs of meat were seasoned and flavored unlike some bland mystery meat in most dumplings I have had. The chili based sauce? Delicate, but strong at the same time. Layers of spicy, savory, and notes of ginger danced across my tongue. Now the main course happens: why not continue to the same theme? Szechuan Chicken. This dish is mixed with chicken, green peppers, shitakke mushrooms and baby corn. I hate corn. I hate baby corn even more-----I LIKED IT THIS WAY!!! And, for once, there was a good ratio of meat and veggies (with the veggies cooked----not basically raw). Be still my carnivore heart. I opted for fried rice. Great. Great. Fried rice wasn't stuffed with a vegetable medley from Bird's Eye dumped from a freezer bag like most places----I'm guessing the vegetables in whatever dish you choose made up for that (smart chef there). Service wise? Wonderful. The lady who served me was lovely and kind (she even helped me box up my left overs). I ordered a water to drink (but, I always include $2.00 into my 20% math since water is free---more so when the server doesn't treat me bad). So disappointed I hope the service was terrible and the food was ehh because they were overwhelmed. The poor waitress was stuck taking care of way too many tables. My food was cold but I didn't dare ask anyone to make it hot. They forgot about our appetizers didn't offer more water. The owner man seemed to be nice to local people but not to us because we looked like tourists. My family loved this place when they were in the mall but they didn't notice any familiar faces. One would think they would be happy since the place was very busy. The family that came in the same time we did had a similar experience and they left all of their food behind. We are trying to do our best to self quarantine during the Covid crisis. Had a craving for Chinese food and made the mistake of ordering from this restaurant. The owner is horribly rude and they had nothing in place to protect the customers. We asked if they were bringing food outside and the owner said, "why would we do that?" We had to go inside to get our food and there were more than 10 people waiting inside in very close proximity to one another. The food was definitely not worth the risk to our health and the way we were treated. Every other restaurant in town has made sure to protect their customers. This one doesn't care. read more

This food is great. Be prepared to pay a little bit at dinner time, but to me I feel like you get plenty of food to fill you up for your money. It's not your normal stop and go chinese place. Very nice wait staff. CRISPY NOODLES: Although these seems freshly made, they had a taste of bad oil. Of course that didn't stop me from eating them. But I did not take the balance home with a doggie bag. For $2.75 you can have soup, egg roll & chicken wings added to your meal. EGG DROP SOUP: Better than many places. Flavorful (as much as egg drop soup can be), but would have like to have green onions added for a little more flavor. CHICKEN WINGS: Southern fried type. They were moist and a decent breading. EGG ROLL: Good, nothing special. SESAME CHICKEN: Very good. Sweet & fried, tender chicken. I tasted my husband's meal also. It was delicious. I don't know what it was. It was a shredded beef meal. I went here off Cantrell a few years ago and I'll be, it was pretty dang good, better than expected even. Recently, on a whim, I ordered about 40 bucks worth of food for the wife and I, and wow was it disappointing. I basically got a boiled chicken with sugar sauce, two bowls of white rice I didn't order, and half-fried soggy chicken that was supposed to be sweet and sour. Egg rolls were all right, hot and sour soup was just a cup of beef broth, not necessarily bad, but not what I was expecting, and extra watery to boot. Anywhoo, I'm reminded of why I prefer to cook at home. Maybe my expectations were too high from a previously positive experience, hence the two stars. read more

Excellent food, in a nice quaint corner spot in a strip mall. I believe this place gets lost in the shuffle of the bigger name places in Little Rock. It maybe off the beaten path a little. The food is great for the staples of Moo Shoo Pork, Fried Rice, and the Rice Noodles are very good. The gem I believe are the Pan Fried Dumplings, perfectly made where the dough is the perfect thickness and they cooked perfectly, better than Three Fold (trade in my Asian card). I am extremely polite & and extremely patient, and usually just settle for whatever they want To hear--or to serve to me. But, today, the person taking my order actually YELLED at me--I mean YELLED at me, when kept failing to repeat my simple order back to me correctly. I've lived in Little Rock for about seven years and I have eaten at many Chinese food restaurants. Hands down this is by FAR the best I have had. Not only is the food outstanding. The portion sizes leave you needing a to-go box. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food.
