I really like the staff here. They have all been very welcoming and informative from the front staff with appointments, billing and insurance to the hygienists and the dentist, Dr Hothi. I went in originally for a cleaning with x-rays which went well. From there it was recommended that I get a deep cleaning and two fillings before I could get the free teeth whitening promotion that was offered. I'm really not a fan of services not covered by insurance because I work hard to have insurance and while insurance is not great these days (coverage has lessened over my lifetime certainly) it does cover enough, and I shouldn't have to pay so much out of pocket for dental care. One of my priorities was to get pricing and an understanding of the Invisalign-like options for some seemingly minor teeth straightening as my lower teeth have shifted some over the years. This was not prioritized in my care plan and I had to ask for pricing on it; the pricing was more ballpark and not a true walk through of my teeth and needs. I did schedule and get my fillings, one of which was super appreciated as it was to protect exposed root due to a random receding gum area that's been on my radar for years and has some sensitivity. The other filling was quick and while I usually don't take novicain if the dentist is open to it, I was advised I would need it & it did go ok for me, and the filling was done swiftly. Too swiftly it turned out. We did not do the floss test post filling (maybe it was forgotten, maybe it's not done here, or maybe it was just the end of the day) and I spent 5 days trying to clear the spot with brushing to get floss in. I ended up having to call to go back in and get the hygienist to fix it by pushing through/eliminating the obstruction. Lastly, it seems that because I chose not to get the deep cleaning, the free teeth whitening promotion cannot/will not be done. I feel stuck and dissatisfied by that, as if it's free only if I pay $400+ (estimate, I don't have the numbers in front of me) out of pocket for the recommended deep cleaning of my teeth. I've been to many dentists over the years due to life adventures and moves and I'd like to find one to stay with. I'm still not sure if this is the one but hoping to resolve some of this eventually. As a child I dreaded dental appointments but ever since I transferred from the Bay Area to Washington... this dental office is awesome! The amazing ladies in the front, Jenny and Sheena holding down the fort in the front! We have been going to Dr Ford since he bought out the practice. Here are are a few things you should know about him. He is extremely nice, so is his staff, but beyond that, he and they are very competent. In 2004 we moved up to Birch Bay, to get away from traffic, ect. We tried to find a good dentist up there, but after failed attempts decided it was worth the effort and time to return to Dr Ford. That should tell you the whole story, we travel 260 miles round trip to see Dr Ford and his delightful staff. read more

Dr. Ford, his assistants, hygienists and office staff are all amazing! Very easy to communicate with them to set up cleanings and other appointments. The staff are all trained the same and can help with many different needed tasks. Dr. Ford works very quickly and efficiently! They have remodeled their office and it's top of the line and beautiful! I have been to countless dentists over the years for my genetically problem prone teeth. This is hands down THE BEST dentist I have ever been to. They were able to get me in right away on short notice for a cleaning. When I got there, they asked me questions to best understand my needs and preferences and immediately conformed to make me feel comfortable. During the cleaning they discovered two cavities and I was able to make a same day appointment for later that afternoon. I returned about a month later to get my night guard and the entire staff remembered me and the conversations we had. They are very warm and welcoming and do an excellent job making you feel like a valued patient. read more

Dr. Ford treats my 92-year old mother; he and his staff do a great job. Wonderful waiting room, with complimentary freshly brewed coffee and excellent WiFi. So it works out well for me while Mom is being treated. I am from California, so that's why Dr. Ford is not also my dentist. read more

Getting there, I had a great experience from the hygienist, assistants, front desk and last but not least, the doctor. Office staff and hygienists were friendly and welcoming. Office is modern and clean. Dr. Ford himself is not very friendly and he was quite condescending in recommendations for work and things to do differently. When I came back for some fillings and replacing older fillings he was very forceful when working, frequently putting his finger on the roof of my mouth and pulling my head back instead of asking me to look back. He used large blocks to keep my jaw open and my jaw was in pain for several days due to him not giving me a break. I have had dental work similar to this amount done before and never had residual pain. When I told him that the next time he kind of brushed it off and did not seem to care. Overall the rest of the staff is very nice but Dr. Ford is not very pleasant, making the whole experience unpleasant as a whole. read more

I do like Dr. Ford and the technology he uses in evaluating your teeth. I am giving a less than stellar rating because, when I went to be evaluated, the front desk lady was supposed to give me an estimate for the work they planned to do. She gave me an estimate for about half the work I needed and once that work was done, presented me with a whole new estimate because she didn't "want to alarm me" with the first quote. Yeah, please keep me in the dark about that--not. Moving forward though, I was a little surprised when the dental assistant injected the novacaine and not Dr. Ford. Felt a little funny about that and maybe that's normal practice now at dental offices. The final straw for me was when I was getting a tooth extracted, the dental technician pulled off the nitrous oxide mask and asked me to sign a hold harmless form which they did not offer a copy of. I was totally blotto at that point. I had to ask for the form to be sent to me. That was pretty unprofessional and so very illegal. Better to not have signed the form than get in double trouble for asking someone under sedation to sign something. Wow and lucky I nothing went wrong. read more

Awesome dentist and I loved my hygienist as well. Friendly office staff. Professional environment. I didn't have to wait forever to get in for my cleaning, and neither did my husband during his visits last year. They took time during the exam to ask about my concerns with my teeth and educate me on my options for dental care. My husband got his wisdom teeth removed here and got some fillings last year here and everything went smoothly and he was pleased with the level of service he received. Highly recommend! read more

If i could give them a 0 star i would! I went in there believing i was choosing a dentist's office that was fair and caring about there patients but i was completely wrong. First they over charged me for treatments, leaving me with a credit on my account. No one mentioned to me for a year that i had $500 left in my account! Sheena called me one time reminding me about me scheduling to come in. I told her i just started a new job and need to wait for my benefits to kick in. She had then told me i had a credit of of $500 i could use. I then went in to get one tooth looked at that was hurting. I let them know i gad a new dental insurance and i wanted to use that. They started doing test, which they did not even tell me what exactly they were doing. When i go to the front desk, im told i owe close to $400! that is ridiculous! i asked why my insurance wasn't covering this and was told that they did test's that were not covered by my insurance. I was upset and even asked why i wasn't told about this as it was being done. Then she tried to make me pay my money instead of using my credit i had on there which i brought up to her. She acted like i didn't have anything on there but i told the HR lady in the front that Sheena had told me i had $500 credit. With all the crap this office was pulling, i decided to find another dentist because these people loot you for your money. And if that not bad enough, i called the office and spoke with Sheena to clarify the things i was charged for. Instead she starts speaking over me and then starts to get in an attitude about it. I asked if she could let me Finnish what i was saying and she became aggressive on the phone and blaming me! I then asked a question and was quit and she replied with an attitude, can i speak now!These people are the WORST dentist office. Please Beware because they are all about taking peoples money and being disrespectful and sneaky! read more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Ford for over two years now. He had to fix and replace my crown, which was done terribly by our previous dentist. He's been a lot better than the dentist we stopped seeing.The office is very nice and his staff are very friendly. My wife and I have been patients here for a while. Dr. Ford and his staff are professional and experienced, plus they go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Typically when you visit a dentist, relaxed is key right? I suggest bringing headphones, Sirius radio (mobile app), and chapstick. You'll be ok and in great hands; even though they're in your mouth.
