I've been coming to this shop off and on for a few years for various services like alignments. In the past, I had minor issues with the alignments not being perfect, like the steering wheel not being straight, but I let it go. This time, I scheduled an appointment specifically for a check-engine light diagnosis and dropped the car off the night before. I agreed to the $160 diagnostic fee. However, I didn't get a call until late the next afternoon just to tell me I'd left the wrong key. I brought the correct key quickly, but then I didn't hear back until the following day. When they finally updated me, they said they just cleared the check-engine light without a real fix. I knew the code was a permanent one that wouldn't just disappear, so this was disappointing. They also looked into a secondary issue I had mentioned, but that wasn't my priority. Then, when the check-engine light came right back on after I left, they wanted me to wait for a manager and suggested another $160 fee, which wasn't disclosed before. In short, the lack of communication, unexpected fees, and the unresolved main issue made this experience frustrating. I hope they improve their transparency and service for future customers.

My husband's car was having trouble starting, so we took it to Coyote Auto Repair on Allison Ct. We've used them several times over the years, so this wasn't a random pick. Today, we were told the total was nearly $400 for a new battery. My husband doesn't recall authorizing that work when they called earlier to say the battery was bad. When I called to ask for a cost breakdown and to understand how the miscommunication happened, the person I spoke with became argumentative and rude. After accusing me of calling him a liar, he told me to come get the car and said we'd now have to pay in cash, claiming he didn't want to risk a chargeback or canceled check. I hadn't done or said anything to justify either accusation. I won't get into every detail of that phone call, but my main concern is this: as customers, we should feel comfortable asking questions, clearly understanding what we're authorizing, and trusting that the conversation will remain respectful. Unfortunately, this experience was none of those things. I hope this helps others make an informed decision if you're looking for a local mechanic.

Call ahead in case they are busy. Otherwise, they will tell you to drop off first thing in the morning and pick up by 12noon. Great idea. Don't mind if I do. This is a no frills business. No waiting area. No tv. No popcorn. You get the idea. But they DO an excellent job on vehicle repairs, oil changes. They do the work honestly and at a reasonable price. Every time. It was a fuel pump…read morerelay module and I just read how that problem has caused many headaches $ for mechanics and car owners because many times they'll put a new fuel pump in then 2 days later this issue pops up. When this module starts to go bad it will Intermittently work before it totally goes. If you think Belle tires is only about tires, brakes and oil changes, you're sadly mistaken they're a fully equipped garage with qualified experienced mechanics.
