I came from having experience with high prices from Midas and was immediately comforted with the down to earth staff and reasonable prices. I appreciate that they will always take my car and look at it to tell me the diagnosis rather quickly. However during 2022-2023 I felt like they overestimated the repairs and charged way too much. I feel like they no longer care about the customers best interest, they will flatly ask a repair cost that's double the cost of the car and act like they don't care if you can't afford it. Everything to them is "necessary". I feel like they aren't real anymore. Also the repair quality itself has gone down as my control arm all of a sudden "failed". I have a 17 year old car that is 150k miles. I am no stranger to getting it repaired. I believe that a car that is taken care of will take care of you. Where I take it matters, and unfortunately I no longer can rationalize taking it here. It's disappointing to spend that much money at a shop and for them not to even remember you. I'm not sure what management is doing but it is not the same shop it was just a few years ago.

I remember when he stepped away a few years ago and the place became a dive rip off joint you would want to stay away from, which I did. I remember a few months ago asking Greg about getting a Transmission Flush done, he told me they had no machine to do that work, properly, ya know I would have not had a clue it takes a special machine to do that job right, Greg explained it clearly to me, I thought about it later and he could have ripped me off I would have not known the difference. But he is not that kind of a guy & thats why I will miss him and the service he provided my family on our cars. I saw an add a few days after my last visit & it said transflush, I called him about what I read, again he said the shop has no machine to do it right. Jiffy lube insisted tire was no good and wanted me to buy a new one. Husband suggested I take care to Eliot's for a second opinion. Didn't say a word to Eliot what other place recommended within an hour after I dropped the car off I received a call that my tire was fixed. They took a nail out and put a patch on the tire. Good as new. 29$ charge vs the hundreds I would have paid had I just taken the first recommendation. Eliot and his workers are honest, good people. However this visit was exceptional. Off the charts. My 2015 Nissan Murano power back gate stopped working. The Nissan dealer quoted, just for parts, nearly $1200. I walked out of Eliot's with a car that runs like new for remarkably less money. Many many hundreds less. He provided a loaner, and he didn't look to find things that weren't there to pad the bill either. Great job Eliot!
