I had SO much fun at Fore Lakes and their staff was so great to us. My company had a huge golf party here and we basically took over the entire golf course and wreaked all sorts of havoc on it as we attempted to play golf. Out of probably 100 of us, maybe 5 of us had ever played before so we did a "scramble" and I was part of an unlucky group who were too cheap to pitch in for a cart so we ended up walking a lot. I should have just paid the whole dang thing myself but I didn't want to cart around a bunch of cheap old men, haha. I learned a lot of new things. One, if you whack out a big chunk of grass, it is customary to replace said chunk of grass for the next person. Two, if the same golf cart full of impatient experts keeps coming up on your butt and waits on you for a long time at each hole because it takes you like 15 strokes to get the ball in, it is common courtesy to offer to let them "play through" or let them go in front of you. Happened to me many, many times. But hey, I LOVED it! Fore Lakes has a snack bar area that is much like what you would find at an old bowling alley inside and they serve up all sorts of fried goodies at cheap price and ice cold cans of beer, too. The golf course itself is beautiful but one of the female workers there is absolutely beyond my ability to word how horrible she is. She treats you like dirt and is all over you the whole time your golfing, she accuses you of lying about what you're paying for and the list goes on and on. I have gone to this golf course multiple times and the golf course manager is really good but this woman is unbelievably bad, she's been bad before in the past but today was an all time high for how terrible she was, you don't treat people like that. Golfers keep peeing on golf course, right in front of the neighborhood Appartments. This golf course needs more toilets on the course. We're fed up with this issue, as we have kids that witness constant peeing right in front of our back patio. read more

I stopped in here with that anxiety you have when you haven't played in a while. I was in SLC to visit my son and his girlfriend and decided to play 9 holes of golf. I haven't played in 10 years. My son has played a couple of times over each of the past few years and his girlfriend had never played before. There are two 9 hole courses, an exec that plays around 2200 yards from the blue tees and a 3 par that is around 1300. With our rustiness and "first time ever" in mind, we decided on the 3 par with golf carts. The course is laid out well, one fairway with water that forces you to stay to the left. Lengths are in the range of your shorter irons, greens reasonably flat. Hardly any sand traps (yet I found one). Groups moved well, which is usually a problem on shorter courses. Was a perfect course for beginners and those that needed to get back in the game with an eye on the exec course next time. BTW. I needed left hand clubs and my son's girlfriend a set of right handlers. They were supplied by the clubhouse. read more

It is a par 3 and and an Executive course, total 18 holes, but most people just play 9. The customer service has always been on par with other golf courses in my opinion. I saw a few reviews that said bad customer service, hey- you should go to some other courses, many courses are often busy, and sometimes abrupt (translate to rude). I like this course, there are some water hazards. It has driving range, putting green, and even a practice sand trap! read more

I'm not a hard core golfer. I'm sure that is just the worst kind to those of you with $1500 putters in your bags, but it just isn't something I take that seriously. Because I don't take it that seriously, I'm not going to pay $300 for a round of golf. I'm not even going to pay $30 for a round of golf. That is why I'm so glad that I live down the street from Fore Lakes. It is a great course for beginners or anybody who isn't trying to get on the PGA tour. It has never been so busy that I've had a bad time. I find the pace to be fine. Anybody who has that $1500 club in their bag should probably head to a course more suited to golfers of their caliber and try to remember what it was like to be a learner. Not all of us have been golfing for 30 years, so give us a break. I've been taking my son to this course since he was 6 or 7 and the staff was always happy to let me bring him. They understood that he wasn't actually golfing and just wanted to bring his clubs along. I let him take a couple hits off the tees and he loved it. Now that he is nearly 12 and has been golfing full rounds on this course for the past four years, he is getting pretty good. It is the perfect course for a junior. He was a par golfer by the time he was 10 on this course and could go one under on a few of the holes. It is a great course for building your confidence or if you just don't golf enough to go through the frustration of a huge course. In the past 10 years of golfing on this course I'd say that I've only lost five or six balls. Most of those were in the lake trying to be creative, so there just isn't much danger of going through every ball in your bag. You could bring a 7 iron, a putter, and one ball and still golf a great game on this course. Consider the skill level of the golfer who enjoys a Par 3 and easy executive course and also consider the fees on this course before you complain about the pace or the skill of the golfer. Go back to your country clubs if you don't like Fore Lakes. Golf is supposed to be relaxing, so if you are following me and fixing to have a heart attack because I've spent too long on the green, then you should probably consider another pastime since Golf isn't working for you. Fore Lakes is a well maintained, courteously staffed, and fun golf course. I'd drive across the valley to golf here and I'm grateful for the experience it has offered me and my son. read more

Nobody knows the definition of "pace of play" on this course. One of the worst courses I've been to. If you want to hit 3 balls off the tee, drink 10 beers, play in a group of 6, and play 9 holes in just under 4 hours then this is the golf course for you. I wanted to ask for a free round of golf but I know even that wouldn't convince me to come back. Golfers steer clear. read more

The shittiest golf course I've ever been to, first if I'm fine with not a full 18 hole course, this is a 9 hole course and a par three course, but me and my son go and the man in the clubhouse is extremely rude. Then we get out there and they wouldn't let my son drive the golf cart because you have to be 18, if my son can drive on the streets and highways at 80 mph then he sure as hell can drive a fucking golf cart then we get on the course and they have 5 par 3s on the 9 holes i didn't sign up for a par three course absolute bullshit seriously this should be changed to 2 par three courses. Was not impressed at all. I will never come back and i don't you should either. Never coming back. read more

Its been years since I've played a game of golf or even held a club. In fact last time I was at golf course was during my undergrad years which was last decade, shows hold this old man is. During my brief visit of Utah, I was brought here during a cold day as snow flurries trickled down. Who in their right mind would go out in the cold to play a game of golf...this guy. We were probably their only customers that morning. The prices here are reasonable, we bought a bucket of balls for the range. One key thing I forgot about myself is that I need left handed clubs. I went inside and asked to rent some clubs. Luckily there was a set available with no charge. We went out to the 9 hole course. The first couple of swings were misses, finally I found my groove. The course itself was intricate, very good layout especially for those that are rusty. Friendly people, none of the aloof crowd found like those members only clubs. read more

Pro's: $11 to walk, $17 to ride. Decent greens and fairways. Has a par 3 course ($8.50) as well as a small course. Con's: the regular course is very small. One par 5, two par 4's and the rest are par 3's. obviously why it's cheaper so you get what you pay for. Good course to get in and play quick round. I'd probably play it again. read more

This course is a cheep course but a very boring course. The worst thing about this course is the customer service even friends and family that have gone to that course said he customer service is horrible. The employees are the worst and rudest people I have ever met. read more
