Honestly, being a gf snob is tough work. I judged the gem because it has an executive course feel to me. I'd never even been here, except for today... today I took off the thin veil of thinking I won't get to use all my clubs... and I hit from the white tees with a 30 handicap. Where does this pretentiousness come from. Arrive and was blown away by its lushness and modern clubhouse, the cafe run by a most helpful lady named Virginia and a guy, older guru g the kitchen... makes a mean breakfast sandwich and his preferred English muffin. Glad I took his advice. Shoot, crunchy muffin...OH!!! They have 6 Eav chargers... chargepoint so download the app ...charging is FREE! I charged for 2 hours... FREE... The course is nicely laid out but think the dog right on 3 may want to be changed to a Par 5... just sayin'. Greens were smooth and rolled with little to no bumps.... It's spring so may need to come back in the summer but for now, par excellence. I' read more

Just a great way to spend an hour! You can easily play the par 3 course in that amount of time, even with walking. The course is well maintained; however, they have got to figure out the greens. There is always more than one hole set, you walk up to the flag and there is another cup just ten feet away, as if they've forgotten to fill it in when they made the new hole. The signs are old and faded, but you can still make out the numbers (although most of the yardage is inaccurate) so just be prepared to eyeball most. There is usually some goose droppings you need to play around too, which add another challenging element to your game. Overall though, the pricing cannot be beat, $9/person or $15 if you want to play the regular course! And the views cannot be beat. They're also building a new clubhouse which is sure to add another element of flair. TIPS & TRICKS: * Their cake doughnuts are baller, grab a few of those to fill you while you play. read more

Fun course, conveniently located and just a great place to play golf with friends. They have a regular 9 hole course and a par 3 course. Never played the par 3, but have played the other many times. I really like Mick Riley read more

As a lifelong Murray resident, Mick Riley was the course I grew up golfing on as a kid. The par 3 course is a fun challenge for kids and adults alike--a great place for those who are learning to golf. The regular nine is pretty squished together, so you have to be aware of errant golf balls from the holes next to you, but the course is decent for the small amount of land they had to work with. From my experience, a lot of older folks play here, so playing the regular nine can be slow sometimes. Driving range requires you to hit off of mats, and the putting green is fairly sloped, so there aren't a lot of flat spaces to putt. The clubhouse is basically brand new--it was built like a year ago, and is super nice. Overall, a chill place to play 9 after work or on the weekend. read more

Had a great time on the Par 3 about a year ago. Great distances to the pin for beginners and experts alike. I am a terrible golfer, but still got through 9 holes in about 1.5 hours. Will definitely return. read more

This is the worst golf course that Salt Lake County has. The greens are turtle slow and the fairways all have moguls that will rattle your teeth at anything more than 5 mph. It is a huge waste of money to pay an exhorbanant green fee to play this course. Fraser819 read more

Lived down the street from this course and it does it's job well. They have a variety of challenges for golfers. Great driving range, par three course, and executive nine holes. This course has been around for a while and it shows but the renovations are truly brining the life back into this gem. read more

Oh Mick Riley.... I learned the frustrating game of golf on your pock marked, divot riddled fairways. I've killed a duck (my first animal kill golfing) in one of your ponds. I've urinated on many trees. I even had a friend break her finger on one of your aesthetically pleasing chain link fences. I'm pretty sure I ran over a kid too, not realizing he was getting his club while i was reversing out of a ditch. Oh Mick Riley..... Great course to teach the kids on (they have a Par 3 course) otherwise its pretty run down. Granted I haven't been there in 3 years but I can't say they would improve it that much. par 3 is $7 and the regular 9 is $14. So its not very expensive and you get what you pay for. Don't expect to be golfing with ceo's of corporations or anything. Its basically for kids to learn to play, and adults looking to get a quick game in. Saying that, i always enjoy this course. I have never really had any wait time to get on the course. The par 3 is great to work on your short game. Fairways could use a lot of improvement. Greens are in pretty good shape. read more

Hmmm... nice course, an enjoyable time, but kinda mixed emotions (as in 'go, but beware', not 'don't go at all') (This is re the Par 3). The good : course is nice - a relatively nice muni - $7 for 9 holes - quiet (3.30pm on a Tuesday - I'm the only one on the course) - noone worrying whether you play two or even three balls - a couple of long holes mean it's a good test. The not so good : Duck poo - I mean, tons of it, especially over the teeing areas and the fringe of the greens. And it looks like some of it's been there awhile. Also, lots of thick white (dead) grass, some in the middle of the fairways (stringing it off and calling it 'out of bounds' doesn't really help - mowing would). Last, the biggest bugbear, several holes end at or run alongside back yards - there's a chain-link fence but no ball netting (so your ball goes straight through) !! Sigh... So don't overshoot 3, and definitely don't go left on 7. To sum up - very pretty, slightly shabby, cheap, quiet enjoyable Par 3 - great for players of all levels (hit from where you're comfortable). Good value - a nice walk in the park. And when next in town, I will be back. Yes, and that's duck poo 'n' all :) read more

This course is a good as it gets for people who need to get practice and get better by playing ever day. My Niece loved playing and watching the Duck and water foul. Play and get better while enjoying the surroundings. I notice while playing many people laughing and having a great time. read more
