The fairways and greens were as good as I've played all year in MA, NH and CT. The layout is great and many of the views are beautiful. It's a challenging course, but not overly so. Back 9 tougher than the front, but both are fun and challenging. If you're spraying the driver, keep it in the bag. Of the criticisms - this one is ridiculous: "In more than one case you literally tee off INTO another tee box. It defies logic. The place looks like it was hit by a meteor. " Utterly ridiculous - NOWHERE do you tee off INTO another tee box, that is idiotic - maybe he should have checked the map on the card. Nor does it look - AT ALL - like it was hit by a meteor. Construction is limited to base of clubhouse area and not near any holes. They have the building - which is really unique and modern looking - and are working around the base of the building while STILL having a nice outside patio area and inside bar. So, NO - no meteor strike... The cart paths need some attention (potholes) - big whoop - other than that, the place is awesome. Ordered some food and drinks at the turn, but since they were busy, they had us go ahead and start the back 9 - they drove out the food and drinks to us on the 10th tee which was great! Staff very nice - really went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The smash burgers alone are worth the trip. We'll definitely be back - maybe this fall - but once they're done with the clubhouse this place will be really special.

Being able to play with friends/family is wonderful! Golf carts are available to anyone. I met some really nice golfers during my game at SGGC. The employees greet you with a smile and wish you lots of luck during your golf game. Another great thing is like to share - the bathrooms are always kept up with. Not gonna lie, from someone who grew up right around the corner from GLGC - this golf course is better IMO! SGGC? You definitely do not disappoint! I'll be back..

Tee boxes were a mess, dirt and mud dominated the designated teeing areas on most holes. Fairways were soggy in many places ... even though there hadn't been significant rain in three days. Greens were very slow and not well maintained - unrepaired ball marks, etc. Finally let's talk cost - $128.50 to ride 18. There are several municipal courses in the area that play better, are in better shape, and cost less. The only highlights were the friendly staff - starter, cashier, drink cart driver, and cart wranglers. Management needs to fix the course before they can demand these prices.

Members of the pro shop were professional and courteous. Price: $85-110/round. Affordable lunch, drinks, and snacks! Pro Shop: 8/10 Lots to pick from here! They had awesome vest, quarter-zips, hats, and more! I was surprised with the lack of variety: no lefty clubs, very limited women's collection (gloves, shirts, skirts). Overall, we loved the way the logo looked on everything! Pace of Play: 4 hours 30 minutes. I've played at Oxford Greens a few times now. Be prepared for slow play. They have a great starter who lets people out timely and rangers monitoring play. Seems as though things get slowed due to the difficulty of the course, nonetheless playing here is guaranteed to be a blast!

I am not concerned with the quality of the greens, difficulty of the course, depth of the rough, or any of the other things real golf enthusiasts might care about. "Easy" golf courses are challenging enough for me as it is. That being said, Highland Greens is the only lit golf course in the C-T. There's something really cool about playing night golf that makes it more fun (probably because if I suck I can just blame it on the fact that it's too dark). If you're a casual golfer who is looking for a place to go, or if you've always wanted to give it a shot but were afraid of looking stupid, this is the perfect place. And since it'll only run you $13-15 for 9 holes, it won't break the bank either.

Great party space. Thrilled this is part of Seymour Main Street! We plan to be back with more of my son's friends. He even shared that it would be a great place for his 12th Birthday! My family and I have been going here for several years. Paradise has become our favorite place for…read moreour summer relaxation. This is perfect club for virtually all ages. Most middle and high school kids may want a summer with different interests since this is a hang out place for young kids with their parents and grandparents. However, many high school kids seem to enjoy working there as life guards and seem very well trained. Frankly it's been perfect for our summer months as a family. Perhaps the "country club" part doesn't apply as much as it did when it was first made I'm fine with that. Most of our kid's time was spent swimming, reading a book, have a lunch outside, playing in the woods, and playing tennis. As a teacher this place was my go to place most summers. Our kids have learned to swim and play tennis with great young teachers who are very positive and supportive. They also have activities run by high school kids. If you are looking for a place to spend your summer vacation as a family this is a very well run facility with very family oriented staff. We have many wonderful memories of Paradise. I can't recommend it enough.
