First time at this golf course was last Thursday, June 26th. I went with 2 other ladies who are family to me. This place is located near Sleeping Giant Park - which is visible from the course. Beautiful greenery and so on. The game of golf itself is fun and can be challenging. Being able to play with friends/family is wonderful! Golf carts are available to anyone. I met some really nice golfers during my game at SGGC. The employees greet you with a smile and wish you lots of luck during your golf game. Another great thing is like to share - the bathrooms are always kept up with. Not gonna lie, from someone who grew up right around the corner from GLGC - this golf course is better IMO! SGGC? The course was so over booked. Each hole had two to three groups waiting to tee off. It took a threesome over 3 hours to play 9 holes!

Flexible tee time. Great courses. Friendly staff. Value for the money. Nice background for each course and good complexity in each hole. I would go there again. read more

Only went to the driving range to hit some balls but it was a good experience with good mats to hit off of. For those like me who have never been there it would be good to post a sign by the range indicating where one has to go to get the balls to hit at the range... read more

To be quite blunt, I had my worst golfing experience at this course and for good reason. Some of my friends and I, who are in college decided to book a tee time at this course on a Friday afternoon. After arriving a half hour early, we saw that the first hole was backed up and our tee time would be delayed. This was fine, and we patiently waited for the group in front of us to finish. This was on a 130yd par 3 so there is no way to begin the whole without the other group finishing. This did not stop ownership from coming out to tell us that we needed to hurry up on our hole. On the next hole which was a 400yd par 4 we waited until the group in front of us was at least 200 yards out until we drove off the tee box. Despite this, the owner came out again and asked us to leave the course because of how backed up the groups behind us were and offered us a refund. Being young college students we did not want a huge confrontation and were unsure if we were doing something wrong so we left the course but asked for a better explanation afterwards. He then kept fumbling his words and kept changing the reason everytime we asked for a better explanation. It was clear that they had overbooked with their 8 minute tee times and now seeing the angry groups behind us they decided to exploit our youth and inexperience and ask us to leave. What should have been a fun afternoon with friends was cut short due to the incredibly unprofessional nature of the staff. This is just a little nine hole pay by the round golf course talked against one of the prettiest views in Connecticut. Nice driving range and putting green You can walk, pull carts ride very reasonably priced nothing fancy - If you're looking to hit balls or are trying getting a quick round this is the place to go. Great management. Small time inexpensive golf at its best a real working man's golf course. They also are the home of Connecticut Special Olympics golf offering a real service to the community. Growing up I had cousins and uncles were immigrants from Ireland and worked on the railroad are at the phone company they have big families and not much money they played this course all the time and to this day they still have an Irish league. Went to work and Mann can get in nine or 18 without breaking the bank and have a beautiful view and a pretty well-maintained course what more can you ask for. read more

Fred was an awful employee. He questioned my group's aptitude for golf and rushed us through the holes. He has terrible customer service and made multiple references about our sexuality. I am outraged and plan to contact the Better Business Bureau about my experience. I will be back and hope this is resolved before my next experience. read more

I recently retired and now have the time to play golf on a regular basis. I have played golf approximately 10 times since mid-September and three times at Sleeping Giant. I am amazed at the quality of the fairways and greens. The course is in great shape and very enjoyable to play. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had the worst experience golfing ever. The employee behind the counter was screaming at me and my friends on the first hole after he made mistake. This employee was extremely disrespectful and the fact that they are still employed at this bs establishment concerns me that management of sleeping giant golf course are as uncaring and disrespectful as its workers. read more

I have been golfing for over 10 years now and this is the first course where a 5-some is allowed. I called the pro shop to notify them of the group that was holding everyone back, and he replied that's allowed, that's how we do things here. I talked to the course ranger and he agreed they shouldn't be in a five some, yet he didn't throw them off. After my 2.5 hour 9 hole round, I went back to the pro shop and proceeded to get berated by the counter employee. He angrily told me off about the 5 some, proceeded to insult my golf game and was yelling at my buddy as well. This course is a joke, employees are even worse. If I could give this course a negative review, I would. For $30 9 holes, the course is a complete rip off. P.s. they send groups out every 5-8 minutes, be ready for one of the longest rounds of your life. read more

Wonderful service, very well kept course, and the guy in the clubhouse was incredibly kind to me and my pals during our encounters with him.

Beautiful view of the Sleeping Giant! Driving range offers the option of hitting off grass or synthetic mats with tees. Range balls are in great condition and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to play the course some day. read more

Course currently in great shape, much improved since years past. Can move slower at certain busy times. Great driving range. Good course layout for all levels. Occasionally will see deer on course. Pretty views of Sleeping Giant mountain, esp gorgeous in the Fall. Enjoy. read more

A forgiving 9 hole golf course, fun for beginners but challenging enough for everyone, family style if you will. It has a lovely view of Sleeping Giant State Park. If you're looking for fun come here for a great afternoon of playing golf or using their diving range, which has both mats and grass surfaces. read more

I will never play this course again, and will tell everyone I know not to go. The older man - cannot and will not call him a gentleman - manning the pro-shop berated myself and 2 friends after finishing 9 holes, demanding we pay an extra $20 for the next 9 holes. He was an incredibly rude and angry person, and completely turned me off from the place. I will gladly drive twice the distance and pay twice the price for half the course quality before I even consider giving sleeping giant golf course my business ever again. read more
