They also redid our fence and garbage-bin enclosure. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and communication throughout the project were exceptional. The finished result exceeded our expectations -- this outdoor living space has truly been a blessing for our family. Rain or shine, there's not a day we don't use it. We've hosted countless family game nights and gatherings here, and I'm genuinely grateful for this space every single day. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm taking the time because of what happened recently -- more than four years after the project was completed. We noticed a small leak where the deck cover connects to the house, water was dripping from the soffit boards. Naturally, we were stressed about potential water damage and repairs, but when I reached out to Tim, he responded within minutes and sent his team the very next morning! They inspected the area, found a likely source, sealed it and performed the necessary repairs, then advised us to observe it again when the rain returns and call them if further repairs is needed. This experience speaks volumes about the company's integrity and dedication to their customers. Even years later, they stood behind their work without hesitation. It's rare these days to find honest, hardworking, and caring contractors like Tim and his crew. Tim's responsiveness throughout the project was amazing, which is rare to find these days. I am a perfectionist and expect the same of Contractors. I found only a few VERY MINOR issues along the way, but Tim and his excellent crew were right on it! Many months after the project had been finished, we requested a minor repair to our siding that was NOT even part of their work. They came up yesterday and fixed it for us! They went above and beyond! Also, we had a request for a unique fold-out shelf for feeding birds (which we make sure is never available to bears!). Tim designed something that works perfectly. However, a mishap costing us an extra $5K and communication with Luis left me feeling uncomfortable. I would not recommend him to others. I asked for 3 sides of our large backyard fence to be torn down and reconstructed. I said I wanted it to wrap around from our previous newer fenced section to our home. I asked for a walk-in gate. This was all in the LMS quote/bid. I asked Luis if we should do a walk-through before work began, and he said no, that wouldn't be necessary. This will be important later... By end of day 2, I realized they were leaving out a large portion on 2 of the sides. NO gate planned. I double-checked with Luis and he said other than the gate, which I guess was forgotten, that the 2 sections weren't apart of the bid. WHY would someone want to leave two 8-foot panels of old, withered, falling down fence between sections of new 7-foot fence? WHY would someone not complete a fence to the home, and leave a huge gap? That doesn't make sense. But, he told me it would cost an extra $5K. Unfortunately, I felt stuck since I wanted this job done, and they had already begun construction. I agreed, and now my project was costing us 1/3 more. On the 4th day, Luis called me while I was at work. He said the fence & gate were completed, and 2 of his guys would be waiting in my driveway for the FULL payment. I don't get cell service at the school I teach at, and as I'm driving home, I find out I'm responsible for racing to the bank within 20 minutes and picking up my kids from school. Impossible. Not only this, I find it unprofessional that there was no *walk-through* offered after the work was completed. He didn't want to give my husband and I a chance to look it over first? Make sure the craftsmanship was okay? I just don't agree with paying $15K for without this step. The next day, he was working another job far away so he couldn't collect from me. I offered to pay him the following day. Immediately Luis' texts became short, rude and made me uncomfortable. He claimed he couldn't pay "his guys" because of me. I even offered to pay him on the weekend, but he said he was out of town. He said, quote, "You have my money, but it is what it is." I'm sorry, the way you conduct your business has absolutely nothing to do with one client... the work literally JUST GOT DONE!! Banks are only open certain hours, and I have a full time job myself. He was paid the exact week that the work was completed, but after several tense text conversations. He would not text for 2 days and then demand to come by the next morning. "I will come by in the morning." No friendly greeting or even a question if that's ok with me. What?? One of his guys broke one of our in-ground irrigation sprinkler pipes, and when I told him my husband noticed this, I got no response until days later. I asked again, and he said it was all fixed. If I hadn't have said anything.. would he have told me?? For the additional $5K, we agreed to pay the following month. Luis sent me multiple Venmo requests. I tried several times to pay him via Venmo, but Venmo flagged it as "unsafe" and would not let it go through. Somehow, again, this was my fault, and I had to receive several curt texts. I asked him where I could send a check, and his response was "The address is on the bid". Just not .. kind. I always tried to be friendly and open. After our check was sent and cashed, we got no receipt and no "thank you for your business" email or text. Check sent, nothing. Lastly, he avoided questions about their warranty. On their website it says 2 years; on the contract, it states that the warranty goes by the materials - which I have no idea about. I asked several times, no answer. To this day, I have no idea if they'll fix something within a year or even 6 months. All in all, I'm left feeling unsatisfied about our business exchange. While the work seems quality, Luis' demeanor and the fact that we had to pay such a large extra cost for something I asked for in the bidding process leaves much to be desired. I hope this review will help someone.

What an unexpectedly unprofessional experience I had with Anas of Petra Decks. He wants others to…read moreaccommodate him, but he will not accommodate you. At first he seemed kind, we had a lovely conversation and related on many subjects, but he was also very impatient, inconsistent and rude. He lied to me saying he waited 20 minutes at our gate which was untrue based on our texts, then he blocked me due to his own mistakes. This seems to be a theme with him. When I connected with him at the end of June this year we booked a 5pm time slot for him to view the property and at 5:06pm the day of the appointment he texts me saying he had to reschedule because he forgot his phone. I was confused, but I gave him a chance because life happens. Finally he was able to come and do a quote. He came to the property, he wasn't on time but it didn't bother me. We had a great conversation when he came where I thought I had found the perfect guy to build our deck. Then later he texted saying he needed to do some more measurements, I asked when; then he said actually it's ok he doesn't need to do measurements anymore. Then some time passed and he said he actually did need to do more measurements. So we had to arrange to meet again, but that was a very busy time for me so it was delayed. Finally we agreed on today, to which he said he'd come to our property at 2-3pm; then he confirmed he would be here at around 3pm. I rearranged my plans and agreed. Then at around half past 2 he said he would be at the property in "around 30 minutes" for measurements, which would be around 3pm, but because he came 10 minutes early and I was in the restroom so I didn't reply to his text of being here 10 minutes earlier. At 3:00 I saw his texts where he said he had arrived (early) and said "I'm leaving bye" at 3pm... the time he had said he would arrive originally. He said he was waiting at our gate for 20 minutes which was a lie, he was waiting for 10 because he was early, and I did not expect that. I was in the restroom as well briefly thinking he would arrive at 3. He lied about the situation and blocked me even though I apologized for being in the bathroom, despite this situation not being my fault. Because I had thought he was a gracious understanding and compassionate man, many reviews paint him as a kind man as well. But he has so little patience, and a terrible attitude. Maybe he was just in a bad mood today, I don't know. It doesn't mean I should've been treated this way. All I wanted was a deck and what I got was disrespect.
