Now THIS is a liquor store. The 2 guys that own or just work every shift here are both sweet and hilarious! Sometimes the ladies or the BF and I like to throw in a dirty mag at the counter so they can theorize about our plans for the evening. Variety is the spice of life, right? Just kidding... I'm a total snooze IRL... or am I? They've got a decent selection of specialty alcohol, a fairly large chilled beer aisle, and a really impressive display of Hypnotiq (why does it smell like cat pee? The Bev, that is, not the display). They don't carry very many craft beers and they aren't open as late as one would like, especially on warm summer nights but their prices are low and the location is convenient for where the BF and my 'back in the day' High School friends live. read more

This location doesn't enforce wearing a mask, even though a sign is posted on the front door requiring mask wearing. I was there just a few days ago and there was a person ahead of me that was checking out without a mask. I consider myself quite the expert when it comes to liquor stores. I spend a lot of time in them. Probably too much. Damn you untappd!!! Anyways, this place is great. I found myself in this store based off another liquor store's suggestion as I was looking for a particular beer otherwise I may have never stopped in. It doesn't have the best curb appeal, but once you get in there is nothing to be worried about. Every beer they have is available warm or cold. They have a pretty big selection for create your own 6 pack. tons of bombers and 6 packs to choose from and the prices are great. Being a beer snob I definitely give this place two thumbs up! From the outside, it's just your basic slightly shady-looking liquor store. Actually, it sort of looks like that inside too. It's bright and there are huge stacks of boxes everywhere and it smells a little funny. We live pretty close to a certain well-known Big Box Fancy Liquor Store, which is great, but sometimes they run out of popular craft beers or just don't have slightly more obscure brews. We were looking for Three Floyds Alpha Klaus, and BBFLS didn't have it -- but Foremost did. We also looked around and found a few other goodies while we were there -- grabbed two very reasonably priced bombers we'd been wanting to try. Abita 25th Anniversary Vanilla Double Dog, yay! So in short, if we're looking for something special and BBFLS doesn't seem to have it ... Foremost is next on the list! read more

I have shopped here a few times over the 24 years that I lived in Lombard, we've had graduation parties and bought beer for cookouts. Once I needed vodka to make some preserved plum recipe. I usually went to this place because it's close to my house. Now I am moving to Arizona, but my two sons will be staying in Lombard, and all their friends too They are a fire fighter and a college student at De Paul in Chicago. Last Sunday I went to this store to ask for some moving boxes, they had lots of them behind the counter (?). So I asked if I could have some of their larger moving boxes, I even brought in an LP vinyl record to show them the size I needed. The man behind the counter clearly did not speak English at all. So I attempted to communicate by showing him the record. There were two customers in the store. Myself and another guy. I waited patiently He pushed 4 boxes over the counter and asked if that was good, before I could answer he had walked away. When his son walked in with his grandchildren I thought I would be able to ask him because clearly he spoke English as well as I do. I explained what I needed and he said: this is all we have and walked away. Now I understood- the problem was NOT a language barrier it was that they did not give a rats ass about a customer who asked for help. Way to go guys, way to go. When I come back to Lombard, to visit with my sons, and when my daughter comes here from Arizona to visit with her husbands family who all live in Lombard, and we need beer or anything else, even just a lotto ticket guess where We will not be shopping. I will spread the word. Rude is one flavor of customer service I do not care for. Their customer service sucks. These people give immigrants a bad name. Full disclosure- I am also an immigrant. These guys have stepped up their game!! Once a mediocre store with mediocre selections...they've recently added new coolers and beefed up their anty! MUCH better craft beer selection then Famous these days...and most available chilled. Hard to find..discontinued goodies can usually be found here - anyone remember K`s?! And my husband was tickled pink to find they had a good solid supply of summer shanty, after he's exhausted other supplies elsewhere! Good prices...No frills kinda place..even smells a little like old cooler...but could very well compete directly with Binnys if they continue on this way! My new favorite place! read more

I have to say that the prices by far do beat everyone around. I have a lot of events and get togethers that I purchase booze for and foremost definitely beats everyone's price. The selection of different types of booze is good. They have locations all over and everyone working there has always been very helpful. read more

I am not sure what the deal is for sure with this place. The beer always has me thinking... maybe there is a perfectly reasonable explanation. Such as they shut the coolers down at night to save on energy consumption? cold, warm, cold, warm,--- Several brands on the shelf that are way out of date = 2009. This place may not have had a great craft beer selection before, but man, they have cranked it up to 11 as far as the craft beer as of late! Literally the largest section of coolers dedicated to craft beer that I've seen. Every time I go in they've added a couple dozen more varieties. Only complaint is that it's hard to decide what it is I want to pick up cause there are so many choices! Owner/workers are always friendly and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Would DEFINITELY recommend checking them out if you're looking for a good selection of craft brews. read more

Avoid shopping here. Shelves are filled with old beers. They charge ridiculous prices on some things. $18-20 for gumballhead and zombie dust is nuts. Have absolutely no customer service, basically no knowledge on beer, and are sometimes just extremely rude. A truly terrible store. read more

This place is terrible. The owner is not helpful, he's bombastic, argumentative and rude. I live in town and have gone in several times looking for craft beers but he says he never has what I'm looking for, but I can see it on the shelves behind him. He remodeled his store, added doors, bricks, moved stuff around, now it's hard to even park there, his trucks block roads around his store and you almost get hit when you go around them. His employees don't treat you as bad as he does. read more

I went here for the first time yesterday & it was an awful experience. They treated me as if I was in high school and refused to let me purchase any alcohol. Granted, I am 23 & he repeatedly told me my ID was fake. I asked him politely to scan the ID & he refused and continued to tell me it was a fake. I finally gave up because I was fed up and already running late to my friends birthday get together. It was absolutely embarrassing & a COMPLETE waste of my time & WILL never give my business to them again, I mean like they would let me purchase any alcohol anyways. Big disappointment & utter disgrace. Try working on your costumer service, cause it slacks big time. read more
