I came in looking for ice melt and first asked at Customer Service. The employee told me she had only been there three days and suggested checking near the back wall by the garden center. We explained we had already looked there, but there was no attempt to confirm the location or walk us to the item. We then asked Dennis, who directed us to Aisle 6, Bay 2. When that didn't pan out, Houston checked the Lowe's app, which also listed Aisle 6, Bay 2 outside, but he mentioned the app is often unreliable. After several incorrect directions, we eventually found the ice melt outside between Aisles 1 and 2 on an end cap, far from where any employee had pointed us. The issue wasn't effort -- it was lack of accurate information, inconsistent guidance, and systems that employees themselves don't trust.
