Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience regarding an Invisalign agreement and gave the office multiple opportunities to resolve it. In December, I had a consultation for Invisalign and was quoted approximately $5,000 (paid in full, no insurance involved). During that consultation, I specifically asked whether whitening treatment could be included in the cost. After checking with the office, the dentist confirmed that it could. Near the end of my treatment, I asked about the whitening treatment and was given take-home whitening gel. This was not what I understood to be included, so I later texted the dentist to clarify. He acknowledged the misunderstanding and agreed to provide an in-office treatment at a future appointment. At the next appointment, I received what the office described as a short "maintenance" whitening treatment. When I explained again that I had expected a full in-office whitening treatment, I was told that the treatment I was referring to normally costs around $700 and could only be offered to me at half price. My frustration is not about the cost of whitening itself -- it's that I specifically asked whether whitening treatment (not a maintenance one) could be included before agreeing to move forward with Invisalign, and I was told yes. I raised the issue multiple times and do not feel it was ever meaningfully resolved. What was especially frustrating is that even the reduced "maintenance" whitening treatment the office claimed they originally intended to provide was never consistently followed through on. At my final retainer appointment, there was no mention of whitening at all despite the prior discussions and assurances. The Invisalign results themselves turned out well, but I was disappointed by how this situation was handled and by the lack of accountability regarding what had originally been agreed upon. OMToof!! Seriously, you can't handle the toof. I absolutely hate going to the dentist. Some might say my fear is irrational. Pfft. Bad gag reflex, fear, sweaty palms, stress...that's your girl. I came home from work and chipped a tooth pretty badly on a Rice Krispies Treat. Who does that? Me, that's who. Anyway it was like 5 pm. I went into full-on panic mode convinced I was going to lose the tooth. My worst fear is not being able to save a tooth. I needed help stat! I've only been in Austin a year (as of 6/9/25) and really wasn't having luck finding a good dentist. Friends of mine are periodontists and advised they heard good things about Forest Family. So back to 5 pm, Rice Krispies Treat time: I went to the Forest Family Dentistry website and within minutes was able to book an emergency appointment for the next day at 7:30 am. I had to go to Burnet Road location because the Navasota location (less than a mile from where I live was booked). No matter, it's really not that far at all. From the minute I walked in the door to the minute I walked out the door I was treated with kindness, understanding, and professionalism. I was immediately put at ease and that says a lot for me when going to the dentist. Dr. Hagan is the bees knees!! She's so kind, thorough, and an amazing professional. I've waited by entire life for this time of dental experience. I can't recommend this practice enough. Big shoutout to all my new pals at this location! The best part is that I'm not going to lose my tooth or even need a root canal! A simple crown will take care of it and it'll be happening within a few days of this post. Dr. Anne Hagan is the best dentist I have ever had. That sounds like a stupidly simplistic statement, but she has diagnosed issues that other dentists had overlooked, (and corrected them), worked with my discomfort in receiving care due to a traumatic experience with a dentist as a child, and when I was having issues during a recent procedure, she demonstrated what I would call precision speed dentistry. I have never seen less wasted motion or more efficient and effective work. I am grateful for her care, and highly recommend to to anyone who has discomfort when they're in the chair. I been going to Forest Family Dentistry - Burnet for about a year and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming -- they actually remember my name and let me park my bike inside the office. I really appreciate that they take the time to explain in detail whether is a routine cleaning or something more involved. They take the time to answer any of my questions and make me feel more informed about my dental health after each visit. Also, I really appreciate that they do every visit with care. I had a deep cleaning done at this location and they were actively checking on me while doing the procedure. In one occasion, Dr. Steven Oviedo saw me waiting for my girlfriend in the lobby and took that chance to catch up with me and make sure that I was following his recommendations. I was a bit skeptical about coming to FFD after my first time and hearing a few friends not too pleased with their experiences. I had to give it another try because FFD has such high reviews! I was not too impressed with the Anderson location, but was willing to try out a different one. I am SO glad I did! I cannot stop raving about Dr. Dave and his team! He genuinely takes the time to hear all your concerns, and actually CHECKS them out! I love that he doesn't go for the "just to be safe, let's go for the extreme" tactics. Instead, he opts for the less invasive methods and performs tests before making a decision. For an example, if a root canal is necessary. When I first came to the Anderson location for a limited exam, they were estimating ~$800 to get everything done. I am all about doing as I'm told, but ~$800 for something that wasn't high on my priority list seemed a bit extreme. Dr. Dave confirmed to me, it wasn't concerning at all and to just make sure to stay on top of cleaning my sensitive area. In addition to being less invasive, Dr. Dave and his hygienist, Parviz, are lax, calm, friendly, and easy to converse with. Some dentists don't know when to stop talking ie: when you have 3 different things going on in your mouth and a pool of drool dripping from the side of it. Dr. Dave & Parviz have perfected knowing when to converse and when to stop. A+ experience as a new patient at Forest Family Dentistry today! They got me in a few weeks early from their cancellation list which was nice to have moved up. I have been concerned about covid safety but Forest Family Dentistry has a long list of precautions that they take very seriously. The office is sparkling clean, everyone was wearing protective gear and sanitizing and using clean tools throughout the process. I have severe anxiety at the dentist but Brooke and Parviz helped me relax and feel more at ease. I also was scanned (no gross mouth putty!!) for a new top retainer and bottom night guard after I cracked it from grinding my teeth - thanks a lot 2020 lol. Dr. Hartman was amazing with my 7 yo who has dental phobia. I thought my child would never willingly go to the dentist. She looks forward to going to FFD - Burnet and voluntarily and responsibly wears her dental device (HealthyStart). We've already seen noticeable improvements in her bite and with her speech therapy thanks to Healthy Start. Dr. Hagan has gone above and beyond to provide care to myself and my husband. I needed to find a new senators as mine had retired. Going to the dentist terrifies me. This past week I went in for an exam in cleaning and concerns about pain in one of my teeth. The team that worked on me included Sophia, Parvis and Dr Dave. I was so pleased with the quality and care I was given during my thorough cleaning. While the pain in my tooth wasn't all that bad, the following day which was a weekend it became unbearable. I was able to send an email to Dr. Dave expecting to hear from him the following Monday. However, within an hour Dr. Dave reached out to me and was able to prescribe an antibiotic to help with the infection. I never expected that level of service on a weekend. read more

This was a really great dentist. Dr. Hagan is great and the place was so high tech! Ashley had x-ray guns that were handheld and wireless and all this imaging software but most of all they were very sweet very organized and very thorough. Dr. Hagan is the absolute best! She preformed a tongue tie frenectomy on my 2 month old which sounds a bit frightening but she explained the whole process in detail and even the after care process! I'm so glad we had her for this uncomfortable process as a parent who hates to see their baby cry. Been looking for my dentist for quite some time now and I have finally found it. When you walk in you will be greated by Audrey and Lillian and they were super nice and professional. I had some specific questions about my insurance and they answered all of it in detail and made me feel very comfortable. The office has a very nice vibe that feels "Austin". The Hygienest did a great job and was very gentle, my teeth were sparkling after it. Dr. Dave was very friendly and I felt that he was trustworthy and that he really cared. Forest Family Dentistry has one of the most welcoming Dentistry's! They are friendly, welcoming, and very understanding. As a nervous patient, I have never felt so assured and calm during a visit. Everything was transparent and well explained, and the staff was exceptionally patient. Not only was the environment welcoming, but everyone was very informative. I loved learning about WHY certain toothpastes, flosses, and mouthwash work and others don't. All this information with out any pressure to purchase certain products! I really recommend Dr. Annie Hagan. She is the fourth dentist I have seen in Austin and the best so far. Very up to date on latest technologies to keep everyone Covid safe. She provided a private exam room and had me in early as the first patient of the day just to be extra safe. She fixed two problems that have bothered me for some time, including one other dentists missed. She came up with a plan for a third issue that has been a problem for twenty plus years. This office has made me LOVE going to the dentist. Hands down, Dr. Dave and my hygienist were so incredibly nice and respectful. It's one thing to be respectful to your patients, but another thing to go out of your way to make them smile and feel comfortable in what normally is a nerve wrecking environment for most. They explain every single thing they're doing before or after doing it, and I've never had such a thorough experience like that.
