Please do your family a favor and DO NOT send them here. This is a pretty place, but it is hell for the people who live here. My father has been here for 5 years and has been absolutely neglected. He has had medical issues that have been ignored sending him to the hospital multiple times. He has been drugged to keep him quiet. He has been left in his own bowl movements for longer than any human should have to wait. He does not get showers, there is no personal care. He is left in bed. There are many great nurses and aides, and many not so great, but all of these people are working under impossible conditions because they are understaffed, people don't show up, etc. There is no help between 12-3 because the aides have to deliver lunch. There is no follow up between shifts. Medicines are not given. People are screaming for help. Family members are constantly complaining about the lack of care. Staff members are encouraging people to file complaints. The food is disgusting. Often my father is not given his full meal, things are wrong or missing. The plates and utensils he is supposed to be using are not being brought to him. The administrator, and the Head of nursing (you can look up their names) are the most rude, dishonest, carless people I have ever met. I have caught them in many lies and all they do is blame someone else and tell me to take my dad somewhere else if I don't like what is happening here. BEWARE.....DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY THERE. THEY ALMOST KILLED OUR MOTHER. mom had been in forest hills since may of 2025. from the get go there were issues. nurse practitioners who wanted to put her on psychotic drugs for no reason other than to keep her sedated. nurses who couldn't dispense the proper meds in the correct dosage. food that was not edible. a dietician who wanted to reduce her food intake because she weighed 116lbs. management who refuse to provide a copy of all medical records to the POA. asked for 6 months and never received. administrator who has NO medical experience at all and told me so. a DON WHO LIES to your face and his so called assistant who is more interested in chasing him than taking care of the residents. here is the final straw. on Sunday 2 weeks ago, I received a call from the nurse who was taking care of mom. she said that I needed to get there asap. knowing that this facility is being investigated for a homicide already, I panicked. she stated that when the aide went to get mom up that she found a large hematoma on her abdomen. mom didn't want to get up. when I got there I seen a baseball size hematoma. they called the life squad and they took mom to the hospital. heres where you should seriously rethink putting a loved one at forest hills. mom had internal bleeding, a compression fracture of the spine, was told she was malnourished, dehydrated and was anemic. she remained in the hospital for 9 days. she was discharged at that time and we moved her to another facility. BTW WHAT WE HAVE SEEN IN 1 week at the new facility is a 360 degree difference. we have documentation from the hospital stating that the internal bleeding was due to inappropriate dispensing of moms blood thinner and allowing the INR to get so high. I could go on and on, but the point is, putting your loved one in this facility is a very bad decision. 2 weeks before mom being taken to the hospital, she was walking, and playing cornhole. now she is pretty much confined to the bed, incontinent. and her spark is gone. the only good thing is joy and Tracy and Kiana. they took good care of her. the management is more concerned about there numbers and bonuses and have no regard for the residents. one resident even said that they were killing them in there. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE AND AVOID FOREST HILLS LIKE THE PLAGUE. If I could give -100 stars I would read more

I am a nurse aide, I went to Forest Hills to look for a position. The front desk lady was very nice and pointed me in the direction of the administrator. Miss Dayna came out, and was offended that I called her honey when I was asking how to apply. She was extremely rude and condescending, she even refused to shake my hand. I simply was trying to find out how to apply for a position and I was EXTREMELY polite about it and they immediately shut me down. I would 110% recommend staying the heck away from this place if you are looking for a job. read more

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT go to this place or send your family there. I was sent here after a severe bout of sepsis to recover and literally get back on my feet. I was there over a year, and during that time, nothing that I brought to their attention was changed. There are horrible supplies issues, most nurses do whatever they want for wound care(they do not follow Dr's orders), and the administration is more worried about the budget than the people their cuts actually affect. The food is downright disgusting. It has zero flavor and is generally extensively overcooked. The one decent housekeeper they had quit, the others just clean around whatever is in the way. At one point I had a veritable blanket of dust under my bed because it had never been swept under. One corner had some serious cobwebs because they were never cleaned, and there was dried blood on one of my walls from the day I arrived until the day I left. If you value your own health or the health of your family members, I suggest the Laurels of Milford, they are a tremendously better facility than Forest Hills Unhealth Center. read more

I'm currently a "resident" here myself. They consider this a long time care facility. 98%+ of the people are incoherent, and the nurses and aids are constantly in need and should be busy, but are more glued to their phones or tablets ignoring the patients and their needs. I have seen call lights stay on for extensive times, with many of the staff open to tell you they are just there for a paycheck. There are many employees from Out of Country making them hard to understand. Mix of private and shared rooms, multiple floors. I've heard just over 130 patients and often multiple employees will call in using PTO and leaving one person to run the floor. Food is terrible and complaints only cause retaliation against you. I guess if your comatose it would be fine but if you still have your Witt's about you, this is not the place to be. read more

My 92 year old mother recently fell and broke her arm. This required a two hour surgery. After a recovery stint in the hospital, the question of rehab came up. We insisted upon Forest Hills. We had a reason. Six years ago Mom needed rehab from another fall and simply had a great experience at Forest Hills. I am pleased to report the high standards of patient care still exists. Simply put. The staff cares about the residents and patients! That includes the aides, nurses, OT and PT. It also shows with an attitude that the patients are adults. They even have a happy hour each Thursday. And My dad gets a free guest meal for lunch each day. So he and mom get to have lunch together like they have for the past seventy years. Pretty cool! Going through an experience like this is no fun. That's why it is really important to have a place like Forest Hills. read more

I was there for two weeks from back surgery. The people were great very good especially the nursing staff. The RN's were very kind helping you in any way. The food was HOME cooked meals. different at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There morning rolls were the best for breakfast!!! Each day they had something to work on it, was a game, or puzzle letting you know what was going to happen each day. Very poor care at this facility. Waiting over 2 hours to use the bathroom. Being told to defecate on yourself instead of someone coming to take you to the bathroom because you are not allowed to be go by yourself. Being told to wet yourself - same reason. Only 1 aide on duty for 40 residents. Being told you have to wait again to use the bathroom because the 'worker' needs to pick up the trays first!! Dont get me staeyed on the 'food' at this so-called facility. My dogs eat better than they do. Very piss poor facility. read more

My mom a has been in the assisted living wing of Forest Hills Care Center for over a year now. She has really grown to love her caregivers and feels they love her too! The apartments are spacious and the facility is very clean. Through mom's various health issues, the staff and administration has been very supportive. Brittany has been a great resource and advocate for mom. The residents feel like family and we are so happy that we found such a caring place for mom to live. I highly recommend the assisted living wing at Forest Hills Care Center! read more

My mother was in Forest Hills several years ago for a couple of months after her stroke. The staff was wonderful the place was clean they were very friendly and helpful. The Therapists did above and beyond! I don't know what has happened there now but my stepfather has been there now for almost a month. The staff is horrible and I believe they are there for just a paycheck. They have been mean to him, said mean things and he has had to ask for a shower (he had not had one in a week) and the nurse told him he would have to wait until second shift. The Therapists are wonderful and are doing all they can for him. I would give the therapists all 5 stars, and the facility maybe 5 stars but as for the staff I can't even give them 1 star. Very poor place, do not bring your loved ones here! They are very unclean, you have to ask them to change the garbage cans in the rooms, otherwise they are overflowing. You also have to ask them to bathe your loved one (if they are unable to themselves) because this is not the normal process. The assistants and nurses show very little concern and care for their patients. We waited over 10 minutes recently once we rang the bell for the nurse, response time leaves a lot to be desired for especially if there is a real emergency. I will be contacting the state to report my concerns. read more

If I could give less than a star I would. While under their care my mother suffered an un-witnessed fall that left her with horrible head trauma, a more than week long stay at the hospital, repeated tests and procedures and significantly diminished mental capacity. We alerted the staff to her deteriorating condition, hallucinations and instability days before the fall. They never performed the promised evaluations, did not increase observation or safety measures and never tested her for the UTI that was likely causing all of the problems. All while they were trying to convince us to make her a permanent resident of their facility. When she fell and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, the facility never returned our calls or emails, never even called to inquire about her status. Our repeated attempts to get copies of records related to her stay remain unresolved. I would not leave my dog in their care. We are discussing legal options to stop this negligent behavior from hurting any other helpless seniors. Horrific lack of care, communication and simple compassion. My father was in Forest Hills back in October. It was a very stressful situation in that we needed a place for him to transition from the hospital until we could arrange for him to be at home. It was all very last minute and unexpected. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We have a very large family and most were in and out the entire time he was there. Not only did they see to my dad's needs, but also all those who came to visit him. Having so many concerned family members there meant multiple questions, requests, etc. and they were always helpful and patient. As to the other comment about the nursing staff not caring and just looking at their job as a paycheck, I did not get that impression at all. In fact, one of his nurses didn't think his socks were warm enough and was going to bring him some her husband didn't like because he thought they were too thick! The facility was very clean and the physical therapy staff and facility were wonderful. He was only there 3 days and sadly passed away the next week, but it was such a relief to know he was in such a caring place until we could get him home. read more

My Dad has been at Forest Hills Care Center for one month and we have not had any communication from the nurses in charge of his care or from the doctor. In fact, my Dad says the doctor has not been in to see him. There is absolutely no communication from the staff without us having to ask. The facility is beautiful and the physical therapy is very good; however, I have the feeling the nursing staff could care less about their patients. It's a job with a paycheck for them read more
