While shopping at the Downey location this evening I found a jacket I was interested in purchasing, however they did not have my size. One of the associates looked it up for me and found it at the Lakewood location, and suggested I call them with the ticket number and ask them to hold it for me, which I did. Upon arriving at the Lakewood location and speaking to the associate who took my call, I was told that she was not able to look for the jacket because the computer did not show a picture of it. I was then pointed to a direction of the store, and told go past the black curtain and look there. If it's not there, go look over there (pointing to another direction) and if it's not there go look there (pointing to yet another location). Not once did she offer to help me look, not once did she offer to get someone to help me look. After looking in the first spot, I found a jacket similar to the one I was looking for and decided to purchase it after trying it on. Now this is where the service gets even worse!! On the glass doors and windows walking into the store are 8 x 10 fluorescent yellow signs promoting 50% off jackets (regular price items only). Great!! I have a jacket that I want to purchase and it's 50% off. Wrong!!! The associate rings it up and tells me it's regular price. I question the price and explain the sign that they have posted all over the store as well as the doors and windows coming into the store. He then calls over what I assume is a manager and I explain to him as well that this is a jacket, the tag says jacket and the sign says jackets 50% off. He then tells me that it's for select jackets, however the sign/signs do NOT say this. He then looks at the ticket and with a very sarcastic smirk says, "Its because this is a casual jacket." Again, nowhere on the signs does it say select jackets or excludes "casual jackets." This is false advertisement and Forever 21 did not honor their signs posted. Forever 21, false advertisement is not ok, and this sale should have been honored!!! I just went on the Forever 21 website and guess what!!! Update on my racist experience. Nothing was done. Neither the store manager or customer service did anything or ever contact me again regarding this bad experience. It was a misunderstanding between two employees and I got the worse of it. I was reminded that this was America and that we all make line here. I never said a word to her about waiting in line. She didn't like the fact that her co worker told her and took it on me. She is Asian as well as her manager. The manager was horrible !!! Bought a jacket on a regular wall no sale price , no discount sticker. All jackets were on sale like everything always is but sign never said nothing about no returns or all sales final. She never told me it was final sale when it was rung up. When I tried to return she said the receipt said final sale. I said you put the receipt in my bag so at any point how would I know it's final sale. ( but still courteous) been in retail a million years. She had to return a few receipts and she was kinda tossing them at me to where I said be nice and hand it to me. I have a feeling that this is a department store before it was converted and lease to Forever 21. Perhaps it could have been an OG store, but considering the many opening spots at Lakewood,​ it is more likely been a department store theory. It is different from a regular Forever 21 in different manners. 1. There are no glossy flooring or shiny tiles. 2. Multiple fitting rooms spanning across the stores. 3. The cash wrap monitor is not below the glass. 4. It is simply one story, most Forever 21 are two floors. I was surprised by how massive this Forever 21 is, it is very spread out and not cluttered up​ like most Forever 21. There was​ plenty of walking space and the clothes were not all jammed up into one rack. Clearance: They have amazing clearance deal! Which I cannot find at the local Forever 21, they have a lot of clothes that I have not seen before considering how often I shop at F21. It is like an outlet, a center, for all the other Forever 21 to dump​ their clothes or leftovers​ and it goes on sale at this Forever 21. Plenty of clearance to go through, and what is great is that they do not use the cheap metal hangers with black rubber coating. All their clearance, they use the regular wooden hanger! No prejudice! Great Idea and thank you for not jamming all your clothes into one rack. Everything is spread out and easy to look for. ​​Fitting Room: I really dislike the fitting rooms here. They have multiple fitting rooms throughout the store. They only occupy one though! Which causes a line outside the fitting room because it is smaller than most F21 stores! They should open at least two fitting rooms considering the lines are not usually long at the cash wrap! The fitting rooms are very broken down, the lighting was awful. Should ask for a fitting room that has full lighting. The side that has big door knobs​ are bad lighting. They are too strict on the 6 items rule at a time! The girl was being too harsh on my experience! Cash Registers: They have two, one is by the mall entrance, and the other is by the parking lot entrance. Sometimes, one of them is closed dependent on how busy it is. Customer Service: There is one specific employee, I did not get his name, but he always wears a Beanie. On the times that I visited, I saw him 3 times. Each time he was very informative about all the deals that are​ currently going on. All the promotions, he has all the knowledge and tells me all the information. The staff was​ nice. Didn't need any help. They also should have shopping carts, I go Bananas every time I visit. I recommend​ this F21 and should park by the Round1 entrance because it is located next to Costco, sometimes people are not careful with their grocery carts and they might leave it or scratch your car. Play it safe. The Lakewood restrooms by F21 is terrible. Only two inclusive rooms, usually occupied all the time. I would recommend​ running up to Round1 to use their restroom. read more

By far the dirtiest Forever 21. It looked as if though it was Black Friday except it's a Monday on a non holiday weekend. I was looking for some glasses. I found a pair I liked and paid for it. A few moments later I found out parts of the glasses were broken. I told he cashier and they just looked at me dumb founded. I asked if there was another pair. They checked the system and said they had a few more. Rather then help me look for another pair they simpler stood behind the counter (2 cashiers) and absolutely no one in line. So after speaking with Customer Service I was told I would hear something in 3 to 5 business days still waiting Update: I finally got a phone call on June 21st from Diane store manager. She gave 0 accountability for Managers Flor or Rick and even less for the employee who gave me the wrong information. She told me that the managers don't know when Promotions end and that I probably talk to a one day employee that is why she told me the promotion was still going on. I asked isn't it their job to be aware. She then asked me what did I want. I was like a apology and I don't know a coupon. She told me to come see her that Wednesday and I could get 10% off one item that was regular price and that I should not have been dismissed. She then went in great lengths to tell me about the buy 1 get one free sale. I didn't bother to the next day. Nor will be bothering to go again. Her employees were rude and they are not aware of sales and promotions what help are they to the consumer. I have a special needs grandchild who likes their clothes because they are cute and comfortable to her gives her confidence (she's plus size and that store has a big selection). I liked them because they made her feel good and saved on my pocket but I would rather pay more great customer service. They say that sometimes good comes out of a bad situation. I had a pick up order, so I showed up to the store and got in the line that was designated for pick ups. I didn't make much of it as a young African American lady was helping another customer, then she helped another and another and I kept getting ignored. I believe she called for back up from an Asian lady that apparently was a manager. Both of them ignored me until a young lady wearing a Bambi sweater let me know that I had to get in the regular line. I thanked her and got in line now to be ignored until I asked for help to which the manager mumbled something and walked away. I waited again for her to come back to not do anything but chit chat to another associate ignoring the long line without even addressing a single person that had been waiting. The lady with the Bambi sweater got called to help me with the pick up order by the manager. I was surprised, but she got right to it. She was very sweet and kind as she understood what had happened since I had been there for a while. She went to get the order and I was done within minutes. If only more of the employees and managers were like this young lady named Skylar/Skyler, maybe they wouldn't have so many bad reviews. It could have been a really bad experience, but it wasn't because that actually tried to help. It's not the first time she has helped me, I just didn't know her name and she is always very friendly which I appreciate. Had it not been for her, this review would have also been a 1 star. My god, this was the most disgusting store I've ever been to. First of all when you walk in it looks more like an abandoned Kohl's or Mervins than a Forever 21. There's carpet instead of a smooth floor some reason which actually contributes to how dirty the store looks. I wish I could have counted all the stains that were on the carpet. They weren't little stains either but HUGE disgusting stains! I'm sure most of them are just spilled drinks but that doesn't matter- stains should be removed! There was also so many products dropped on the floor to the point that it was ridiculous. And not to mention the store was pretty unorganized too but I can sort of look past that since that's kind of common for Forever 21 stores. Employees just chatting up and not doing anything about the stuff on the ground, now that's something I really dislike. To the owners, please do something about that carpet! Either have a company come to deep clean the carpet or switch to another form of flooring because it is honestly disgusting. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a good 6+ years. Whenever I want something cute and don't want to spend a lot of money Forever 21 is my go to store. The store is on the large size with all types of trendy stuff. As of today all of the clearance items is an additional 65% off of the marked items. The only complaint is that there was only one dressing room open today when I was. there. This Forever 21 was transformed from the old Meryvns store. It is quite big but very unorganized. It has a small men's section as well as a children's section. It's not like the one at Cerritos which I love. The staff here are friendly and today one of the guy's was walking around offering a bag to put your items in which is very rate. But he was really nice and helpful. It seems like more men work at this store than women which I love! So when you come here be prepared to spend a significant amount of time because you really have to look around. read more

I had never really thought about this store... well, not since I was a kid, but while shopping with my cousin she suggested we pop into the one at The Block in Orange, Ca - I was shocked to find that they had a ton of really cute cheap stuff. Now this isn't the place you are going to find your staples, like the little black dress you can always count on, or the pair of "goes with everything and lasts forever" heels, but it is the perfect place to find things to add to your staples. Very trendy. If you have your fave jeans already, you'd find the perfect cute little top here, a pair of huge chandelier earrings, maybe a great floral scarf or a pair of summer sandals. So this particular location caught my attention when I was in Lakewood seeking out a Michael's Art Store... it is HUGE!!!! It has a big shoe section and tons of clothes.. the location at The Block had better jewlery i think, but this is the location for clothes and shoes, that is for sure. The one thing I think they should have had more of at both locations is hat and hair stuff... you never want to spend a ton on a mini hat or a set of trendy barrettes, so that would be a great addition. It's okay as a Forever21 store. I prefer the 3 or 2 level stores because I find it easier to find whatever I'm looking for, but this was also my first time at this particular store. The clothes racks were too stuffed clothes for me to really look around at different things. And if I took an item off the rack it was pointless to try and shove it back in. None of the workers really said anything or seemed to notice me, which was fine. The people working the checkout station seemed the nicest and most approachable. The only one I didn't like was the lady working the dressing room. I come here all the time since like ... forever. But today's visit kind of upset me. There are two areas where you can pay.... but the one is the back furthest away from the mall is never freaking open (at least all the times I've gone). I only had to purchase 3 camisoles and wanted to be on my way. There were 6 people in the register area, 2 actually working the register and the others standing there looking bored . not sure how employees don't know their own return policy. went to make an online return and such items were seamless bralette tops that are considered lingerie. i've had no problem returning similar items at this location and others. the cashier (older asian lady) who helped me asked if it said final sale on my receipt and i said no. she proceeds to tell me lingerie cannot be returned. she also didn't bother scanning it to check anyway. i showed her it didn't say final sale so what was the point in asking me that if she refused to accept it. i completed the rest of my returns and left. i was dumbfounded because as a f21 shopper for many years, it usually tells you if an item is final sale when you buy online. i even remember a time where lingerie was final sale but they changed the policy. i stayed in my car to speak to a customer service representative who also agreed that the items i wanted to return should've been accepted. it even says on the paper receipt i was given back that only "select lingerie" are final sale, not all. instead of waiting for customer service to send me a return label, i went back inside the store to return those items again. luckily i had a different cashier but she had to ask the store manager if they would allow it. not sure why they needed verification when i just reiterated the whole policy to them and mentioned a rep said so as well. i never had a problem before so why now.. so stupid. sticking to the cerritos location now :p i can only imagine how many people have been refused a return because of this incompetent employee. furthermore, she was pretty rude and definitely not cooperative. thank god customer service asked for the store's info! read more

I used to be a fan of Forever 21. How did this place get so "Walmart" ? Badly sewn, cheap materials, and unstable sizing. THEY DON'T ALLOW RETURNS -- buyer beware -- you only get to exchange. Their plus size clothes are atrocious! Many are exponentially cut -- so that horizontal seems or edges hang right at the thickest part of a plus size body -- or are so drapey they exaggerate figure flaws. If anything, these clothes make the eye go right to what you want to diminish. And from many of the regular sized items I've tried on, their sizing is NOT consistent. I was so shocked to hear that Madonna released a line a clothes from 80's design and then saw that much of the "in season" clothes at " F " are those same 80's clothing you can still find in the thrift stores. Even the shoe sizing is not consistent. How completely sad to see this manufactured brand store take a complete fashion dump when they got into a bigger mall store space. If you haven't tried Suzie's Deals, at least give them a try. They have the same "exchange only" policy but at least the clothes are a better quality. Even better, Ross has pre-season releases, and post-season reduction prices, AND you can return the merchandise for a refund if you are within the time period with your receipt. I would be stuck in a grandma mu-mu, a Coleman tent and my husband's extra large Oakley tees trying to design summer outfits for myself and my bump. Now, with the Forever 21 Maternity wear, targeted to a predominant demographic of pregnant teen mom's in various cities, us planned pregnancy mom's now have some choices, and some styling duds to wear for nine months. YES!!! On my way to the Hollywood Bowl four weeks ago, I pulled into this Forever 21 to buy a charming maternity sweater from the preggy clothing line Forever 21 makes. I came out styling and made it to the Hollywood Bowl in a new ensemble. My new little outfit fit my girthy-gorgeous-bump. I love this location too. It's next to the Hollywood Bowl shuttle location, that shuttles folks to/from the Hollywood Bowl. Plus, this Forever 21 is enormous inside. They have so many F-21 clothing lines in-store. read more

I spent the morning switching out my summer clothes to my fall and winter stuff. See, if you're from the East or North you know that you don't wear the same shit all year long. 'Cept maybe your Converse All Stars. You won't catch me in flip-flops in February. No matter how hot it is...it's fuckin' February! I was missing some winter essentials so I did a little shopping. I went to Forever 21 because it serves my purpose for some stylish yet inexpensive rags for general everyday wear that I won't feel shit about ruining with spilt sauvignon, spaghetti sauce or somebody's swimmers. For some reason, the smaller sizes were way too big for me. I may be small, but could NEVER get into a 0, and was thrilled not to be able to. Their 0's were falling off of me and I've been the same size since high school. I grabbed a salesgirl and asked her what was up. "Young lady," I asked "Is this skirt mis-sized, because this 0 is too big." At first she said no. When I pressed her by saying that I was nearly 50, have been the same since I was 18, and could never get into a 0 and never wanted to... she spilled the beans. "Yes ma'am," she said. "People will by a smaller size if they can fit it. Some retail markets may tag slightly larger items with a smaller size/tag because they've found it sells faster and moves more merchandise." That's fucked up on all kinds of levels. I am subsequently sized out of their market and have to stick with the finer stores because they carry a true size. But the ladies who are slightly bigger than me are running around telling folks that they are a size 0 simply because retailers are lying to them, then whining that Neiman's sizes are cut wrong. I just want my shit to fit. I don't know what size I fuckin' wear anymore because some folks won't own up to how much they've been eating. And instead of losing weight, they've forced the market to change the sizes. I know this because I have friends whose lack of control has caused them to blow up. They simply stopped shopping for clothes; they don't want to have to buy a larger size. The retail markets pander to this attitude by changing the tags. Forever 21 is a store that pulls this shit. Confirmed. Just don't start fuckin' with the shoe sizes. We all we shouldn't all have to suffer for somebody else's big- ass feet. No offense if ya got big feet. read more

It's true that I'm already a sucker for Forever 21, but when I walked into this one, my jaw dropped. It was like acres of cheap, poorly-made, but totally cute clothing stretched out in front of me, promising that amongst this bounty, I would find clothes I liked. I don't know how long it took for me to get through every section, but I'd think I had it wrapped up and then realize that no, I'd missed another giant chunk of store. I was actually relieved when I hit the edge of the men's department and got to turn around. Generally, it's no problem for me to hold whatever I pull off the shelves to try on, but this time I was very grateful when a friendly salesperson offered to grab me a bag designed for carrying around your pile of maybes. By the time I was ready to hit the dressing rooms, my shopping bag was overflowing and I'd lost my friend and the sheer size of the store left me feeling like I'd never meet up with the friend again, which would be tragic, because I needed her opinions and she was my ride home. I actually had to send a text message. No, there are not enough dressing rooms for a store of this size. Lines fluctuated in length during my time there, and due to the amount of merchandise available, even non-shopper me ended up with at least 15 things to try on, and that sort of shopping ties up the rooms. Sorry, people in line. You're definitely screwed if you try on something you like, but need a different size, because YOU'LL NEVER FIND IT AGAIN. The store is just too big and everything is squished together like in a regular-sized F21. I heard the salespeople saying stuff like "sector cotton candy." What? I was there during a 10% off any $40 purchase, which was nice, although you can't return or exchange anything you buy. I have never been here on a weekend so this review may be biased. This Forever 21 has the best Plus Size selection from Montebello, Pasadena, and Cerritos. They have a huge floor dedicated to Plus Size and I guess if you check the demographics it's definitely a mall where you see girls that have more junk in their trunk, like myself :) . It's clean. The workers are helpful in their young and inexperienced way. No lines on weekdays. A little out of the way but if you're a thick girl, this is the place to shop. read more

There is a LOT to choose from, but its really overwhelming, especially if you are looking for a particular item, which would take you a longer time than anticipated, for one item. The sales items are alright, but the accessories on sale is messy as hell, its like a pigs pen. The guy employees in this store are very friendly while the girl employees ignored me.
