BUT they said they have a new litter coming in and to check them out. Ok great. We check out the new litter and . Two out of the five were already adopted somehow, despite getting the cats literally an hour ago. They didn't have name tags out and they weren't even set up yet. HOW?! There was one I really liked. Once again, I asked if the cat was available and they said yes. I told them I'll apply. I also called the shelter to make sure and yup the cat is available. Not even 5 minutes later, they called me back and were like "yeah.... Sorry, that cat is already adopted too." I get a call later at night from the friends I put as references telling me the shelter talked to them for application but sounded disorganized. At this point, there is no cat we applied for that was available, as both of them went to other families. Who were they calling for?! It's extremely sketchy. Finally, they called us AGAIN and told us to come in one more time. We gave up at that point, but went just for the hell of it, once again, basically all the cats are adopted already. They instructed us to go to their actual shelter (this was all PetSmart) and we were like NOPE. I refuse to give these irresponsible people money. I hope the animals have great care because this place cannot be trusted. HORRIBLE experience, AVOID and go somewhere else.

When he asked when I'd like to pick up my pet's ashes, I said the next day. He told me I couldn't because he wouldn't be there and to come back on Saturday, but he never gave me a specific time. When I returned on Saturday, I called him to let him know I was there. That's when he told me pickup was between 11 and 12. I explained that he never mentioned a time, and his response was, "That's what they all say." Losing a pet is already heartbreaking. I believe a business that handles something so sensitive should have a clearer system for pickup -- and show a little more empathy to grieving pet owners.

There was no service and I was trying to get service to put my address in the GPS which took about 4 minutes to which he came outside and asked me to please move down the road because his dogs were barking. Going to him directly cut the price down and allowed me to ride with my precious babygirl the whole way but I wish he would remember that although it is a business, some sort of empathy should be displayed when it is the person bringing their own deceased pet.

I was refreshing the USPS tracking like a mad person while at work, wanting to ensure we got her in our hands. It was an emotional time and it still is. After refreshing the tracking again, it said return to sender, address unknown. I was so upset and nervous our package would be lost and we would never have her. I called the Abbey Glen office and spoke to a wonderful woman whose name I cannot remember. She was so nice and understanding and even said to me "we will be sure to get your baby home." She actually ended up calling someone she knew at the post office, who knew the manager of the post office where the package was coming from. Since it was so early in the morning, they were able to intercept the package and hold it at the post office so we could pick it up. I am so grateful to this woman for that. Everything was packaged with care, there was bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Her actual ashes were placed inside a velvet pouch and came with her urn, clay paw print with her name, nose print, as well as a certificate of the day she was cremated. I felt like everything was done with care it felt good knowing she was well taken care of. March…read more29th, 2025 my baby Houdini passed away due to a heart attack or possibly a stroke after trying to recover from a bad virus . He was a runt of a litter and was 10days from turning 1yrs old with his siblings and mama . Just when we thought he was getting better from his virus and we were finally over the mountain he started eating and drinking. He passed away at home suddenly. He went to nap and never woke back up. I never dealt with a dog passing away before. Especially one of my own. I couldn't think straight. The veterinarian Hospital placed us in touch with Pet Meadow. They treated us with so much respect, ,compassion , kindness & empathy. They helped with every step and decision. I even had my husband with me in case I was to emotionally upset to make proper decisions. I was very pleased with them. They went above and beyond. Sadly my oldest dog has passed away this morning June 8th, 2025 . Clyde is 15 years old and fought cancer and other health issues. He led a fulfilled life . We rescued him when he was 2 with his mama . He was my first dog ever . A pure Bread Beagle. He gave us so much joy and happiness. I have not stopped crying since he passed away at home this morning . We immediately called Pet Meadow and we are receiving the same awesome treatment as a few months ago . Tomorrow he gets cremated. She went today to pick up Skye's remains along with her paw print. To her surprise, they never made her paw print! My mom is completely beside herself. And I am feeling so guilty because I found these people. We have paw prints of all of dogs that have passed away. And now they don't have Skye's. The best part is, they asked her if she put her request in writing. Which she did, and she had proof of that. Not that anything could bring sweet Skye back, but offering a piece of jewelry for her ashes is less than accommodating. I would NEVER recommend this company.
