I have been doing y own hair since I went natural and really only venture out when Its something I cant do myself. This month I just didn't feel like washing and twisting my own hair so I started looking online for places to go. I came upon Forever Diaz and it had really good review across all platforms and so I decided to check it out. Finding it was really easy and loved how easy parking was. I was greeted right away and taken right at my appointment time which is always appreciated. My stylist was personable, asked all the right questions and kept conversation during the appointment. I decided last minute on a Saturday to get my hair cut, and this salon was gracious enough to let me come if I could be there within 20 minutes and if all I was getting was a cut and a wash. When I walked in I was greeted with "Hello beautiful!" which was really nice and welcoming. Cassandra washed and cut my hair for me and she was super friendly and took her time. She's a self proclaimed perfectionist and made sure the lengths were even and I got what I asked for and that everything was good. The only reason I took off a star was because I was charged $73 for this service. I WILL SAY I did not look up prices before going because I was excited they would take me so that surprise was on me, BUT when I checked the website after I got home I saw that it's $70 for a wash, cut, and style. I did not get my hair styled-like she didn't even put any product in it after cutting it, so I think it was unfair to charge me that price. (I think the extra $3 is a charge for using a card, which I'm also not a fan of since most people pay with cards these days.) Anyways, friendly atmosphere and a welcoming staff-I honestly don't remember the last time I received so many compliments on my hair, so overall I would recommend-just pricey for only a wash and cut. read more

Met with Mary and had high expectations based on the person who referred me to this salon. Unfortunately she is not knowledgeable in working with fine 2a-2b texture hair. I was informed while washing and moisturizing my hair that I had no curl definition. Never adjusted the dryers tempurate resulting in blister on my ear. Added a ton of product to my hair in order to "style" it. Just not worth the money or the experience. If you have fine 2a-2b maybe another technician would be a better fit just not Mary. read more

I've now been twice and Candace, the owner and stylist, is consistently wonderful. I am never there all day. She has a great welcoming personality and she's efficient with her time. Of course the best part is my hair. I have mixed hair and she knows how to work with it. I got a silk press to straighten my hair which is far less heat than going to the Dominicans. My hair is soft and actually straighter than when I used to go to the Dominicans and it lasts. Keeping my hair healthy is of great importance to me. I only get my hair straightened about once a month if at all. Candace is great. She doesn't overuse product and my hair looks flawless with her. Her prices are very reasonable and it's totally worth it. And I absolutely love booking appointments online. This lets me see her schedule and time frames. When you pick a service you can see the estimation on how long it would take. Even better. I've been going to Candace for 4 1/2 years and she's the only one I let touch my hair. I started with her doing my sew in weave and I left with my edges INTACT... it wasn't lumpy and bumpy either. Then I started going to her for regular hair maintenance in which she helped me transition from relaxed to natural.I looove that she cares about the HEALTH of your hair above all else. Not to mention, she will SLAY a color and my hair is still healthy! Her hair products are the best and I love the vibes of the salon. First, this is my first time ever writing a review....I just had to in case anyone is interested in trying this salon out. I came across the salon on style seat. By the pics the owner (Candace Diaz) posted, she seemed to be pretty talented with short hair styles, so I contacted her and made an appointment for 11:30 on a Saturday. Mrs. Diaz was very polite once she opened the LOCKED front door and had me take a seat while she was finishing up a prior customer....or so I thought. After about 15 minutes of waiting I started to get a little concerned until she mentioned she had to finish curling the prior customers hair then I was next....or so I thought again! She was talking to another client! I waited an hour in a half! She didn't even apologize for the wait! The only thing she did do was offer me the remote to turn the channel! So I left. And I will never step foot into this salon again. If you make an appointment and expect for it to start at that time DO NOT go to this salon. FAIL!! read more
