I had been looking at the available kittens in the humane society's website for a week or 2 before I came and I noticed that it was best to go in early in the day. Prior to coming to this location, I went to the satellite location at Petco by Lakeside mall. As I had put my previous cat to sleep in early March and she had been a girl, I was there for boy kittens. The only kittens at that location were girl however the staff working the cat area were really helpful. I was informed that there were 2 boy kittens that would be available starting in an hour at the Detroit location. The staff told me to call the number on the sign immediately when I arrived in order to get in line. I was about 15 minutes early and when I called, they answered right away and put me in line. I was the 2nd person in for adoptions but the 1st person going for cats/kittens. The staff member that helped me with the adoption was so nice and helpful. She answered all of my questions and within about 30 minutes from when I walked in, I walked out with my new kitten Aiden. I recommend the humane society for adoption of cats and kittens.

Told them about my issues and they said I would get a call....once again, never called me. So now it's past the 60 days for a surrender and a refund. AND TRYING TO REACH THEM IS A BIG FAT JOKE!! 1 stinking number that is never answered...a receptionist at the,Detroit office even told me it would be a waste of time trying to call. And if you want to surrender the dog you need to make an appointment and there would be a $60 fee. On top of the $25 I paid to decide if I wanted the dog to begin with. They would have him on "hold" till I came back the next day....and it better be within 24 hours or you lose everything! All this for a Detroit alley dog. AND why do they guess the info about the dog? They gave me a birthdate (dog must have told them) and they said it would be a lap dog. Well it's at 40 pounds as of today.... you need a pretty big lap to hold that dog. We never had issues with mhs throughout the years and those were the best dogs we ever owned! Things sure have changed. I am sooooo disappointed in the whole process and the dog. Will never adopt from them again.

Most of the time, I just had the service that the vet office used, but when the price was around $500 was quoted when I made the appointment for Oscar, I decided that I had time to look around because I had a few days. I found them and they were local so I called them after seeing their website and the prices. I got someone who had lost their beloved pet and got into the business because of the charges other charge. I let them know who Oscar's vet was and they told me that they have picked up from them before. The vet office had no problem and since I had to go in after work, they could pick Oscar up quickly. I picked up the ashes but they will deliver them also. You can even drop off your pet. They explained everything and even made extra copies of nose print and paws prints for Oscar's other mom. All for just under $200. Since I just adopted a 17 year old cat, I will probably need their services again. I will use them gladly.

A compassionate team that is very helpful with the scheduling on the phone. Never rushed me through anything. Dr. Mitchell arrived within the scheduled time frame, and was absolutely wonderful. Explains every step of the procedure and allows questions. Our baby was at home, in her favorite place to be - our back yard - listening to the birds and enjoying the sunshine. Dr, Mitchell also allowed us to see the diabolical cancerous tumor, under baby's tongue, after the procedure. This solidified that we did what was right by kitty, and not allowing her to suffer any further. No cold tables and blank walls for your pet's final breath. Kitty went peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family. What a great service!

We arrived in a state of emergency--Nigel was bleeding profusely, and both of us were covered in blood. Unfortunately, the initial experience at the front desk was deeply distressing. I was met with coldness and a focus on payment processing that felt completely disconnected from the urgent, life-threatening situation unfolding before them. In a moment of panic and trauma, that lack of empathy was incredibly painful. However, I feel it is vital to acknowledge the medical team that stepped in. Once we moved past the front desk, the level of care shifted entirely. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the veterinary assistants and to Dr. Wheet. Your genuine empathy, professional support, and kindness during such a horrific process were my only source of comfort. Dr. Wheet and the medical staff are the sole reason I am giving this clinic four stars. They provided the high-quality, compassionate care that Nigel--and any pet owner in crisis--deserves. The practice of using both Western & Eastern medicine in the PT/rehab process has been extremely successful for my dog's recovery after surgery for a torn ACL. After Dr. Zinderman completed an evaluation on my dog, there were several therapy programs recommended.
