We only realized that afterwards, when the car in front of us stopped us to ask if we had a fob because the parking is for private residents. Luckily there was street parking available. When we walked in, there were two people chatting at the front desk. We weren't greeted until we were at the desk, which I didn't mind but it just felt a bit awkward. It almost felt like I was interrupting. Aside from that I really enjoyed my experience. We were given a tour and learned more about what float therapy is. We even got to see what a different room looks like. We did the "float together" session, which is a giant bathtub for two people. It has a shower, so you rinse before you get in and can shower after you get out. Toilets are outside the room, so they provide a bathrobe in case you need to step out during your session. The room itself was very warm, I believe it was 89°! Which was a good temperature once we were out of our warm clothing (lol). Prior to getting in they do have a few items you can use: ear plugs, some kind of ointment (for any cuts), a head rest you can use while in the water, towels, slippers (you get these at the entrance), and bathrobes. The lights and music are on for the first 10-ish minutes and then they turn off. You are then left with a tiny bathtub light that you can keep on or turn off. The temperature of the water was nice and warm for the parts of my body that were in the water. After you shower/change, they do have a room where you can go in and finish getting ready. They have combs, hair dryers, another towel, and mirrors for you to use. They have 3 sections labeled, so you can use the one labeled with your session type (our was room 3: float together). I had such a lovely time and will definitely come back!

She even sent me home with little seeds glued to strategic points I could press when I became overwhelmed. I was so grateful. She also takes insurance, which was a big help for me. The facility is very clean and they provide everything you need for the session. I was lucky enough to try out the newer sauna room which was very roomy and included a full size cold plunge tub! The sauna itself was very large and included a bucket with ladle so I could add water to the hot rocks. The float tank was super relaxing and had star lights on the ceiling to ease into the sensory deprivation experience. I turned them off right after I got in and was so comfortable floating that I fell asleep for a short time and felt really decompressed and refreshed after the session. Highly recommend this place for either sauna or float (or both back to back!)

The check in was easy, the guidance covered the bases and things were very private. I was in tank #1 which had room to stand and a lovely shower area. I love that I didn't need to bring anything. They have it all ready for you. I was able to get the silicone ear plugs sealed well enough to keep water out of my ears, but I also used the bottle of ear rinse drops afterwards to make sure no salt dried in my ears canals and then rinsed them out in the shower. My tank ended up feeling a little too cool after being in there for an hour. I noticed it was at 95.3 degrees when I got out. I would asked for it to be a little warmer next time. Don't float if you have a healing wound, open rash, new piercing or tattoo, etc. Salt HURTS! I irritated my inny belly button while showering before getting in the tank and I was in pain as soon as I got in the tank (luckily the irritated skin healed up in a few minutes and stopped hurting, but it really sucked for five minutes). Also, don't rub your eyes while in the tank as the salt will hurt. Use the hand towel and put it on the hook inside the tank. Wipe your face with that if needed during the float Consider removing any medical patches (nicotine, hormonal, etc.) as the adhesive could come off or you could dose the water and lose medicine you need.

Overall, I really enjoy the Everett House. It's a lovely space to decompress, get a good soak in,…read moreand just relax. There are two things I experience there fairly regularly that spoil the experience a bit and keep me from giving a 5-star rating. First, there have been way too many times where I've been there and there were too many people in for me to be able to get into the soaking pool. The management team really needs to do a better job of making sure there aren't too many people scheduled. If it were just a one-time occurrence that would be one thing. But it happens WAY too often. Second, this is supposed to be a space for quiet and relaxation; people are asked not to be too loud. And yet, again, fairly regularly it happens that people do get really loud (even during supposed quiet times) to the point where I have to get loud myself in order to be heard by anyone I happen to be there with. It would be nice if someone from the staff would come by regularly to the soaking area and remind people to keep it down.
