I have been floating here for more than a year. The last few times I started to notice the water getting more and more yellow. I inquired about it and they say the water is not changed, just filtered. I've looked at photos from other spas and I'm not seeing any with yellow water... Seems pretty gross to me. read more

Here's how it works: -You'll go in, and they'll send you to the float room. You'll shower, cover any scrapes with some vaseline and then go into the chamber (naked!) for 60 minutes. -You can use earplugs or a little floaty if you need some help keeping your head up. -Then you'll relax and drift away on a cloud of saline. I can only speak to the experience of floating here, because it's the only service I've used. The first time I floated here, I absolutely loved it; it could not have been more relaxing. But in a half dozen visits, three of them were ruined by outside noise. I could hear doors closing. I could hear voices in the hall. The double ring of a bell each time the businesses door opens could not be more clear. And on my visit today, I was in a tank where I could hear all of the traffic going by on 192nd. I was wearing earplugs that they provide. I'm pretty sure that I don't have super human hearing, but maybe I do since they seem totally caught off guard each time I mention the problem. These tanks are nowhere close to soundproof, which defeats the point of floating. Since it's proven not to be a fluke, I guess I'll be floating elsewhere. Bummer. read more

What an amazing experience. It started by meeting the wonderful and friendly staff, and then receiving a personal tour of the facility. I then tried the Cryosauna treatment, which involves several minutes of being inside a super cold chamber designed to reduce inflammation and generally relax your muscles. Exiting the Cryosauna, I realized that my joints and muscles were pain free for the first time in years. Let's just say that the Cryosauna is something I'll definitely try again. Being pain free is worth it. After the Cryosauna, it was off to the massage chair that uses water jets to invigorate your body. You can set the chair for a total body massage, or for specific areas such as the lower back. I used the total body setting. The staff here are super friendly, care about their visitors, and make this a place where you want to stay. I'll be back and highly recommend FloatWell and their team to anyone. read more

I was in need of a body exfoliation. Thought I would give this place a try. I really enjoyed the technician. She was very nice. However, I feel like I over paid. $130 for basically a very soft hands on massage while a sugar substance was gently rubbed on my body. Oh and a dry brushing on my body. Also a shower to get the sugar substance off. Finally a placement of lotion over body. Over all not really impressed. I really feel that the sugaring/scrub could have been slightly more aggressive. It was all very disappointing. I really feel like I over paid. Unfortunately I will not be returning. The fish oil pills that were recommended might turn out to be a pleasant surprise. read more

I have been a client at FloatWell for the better part of a year. I have chronic back and neck pain. I moved to Washington six and a half years ago and spent almost six of those years searching for a massage therapist that is effective for my needs. Amy at FloatWell was recommended to me and I am so grateful for her. My body is stubborn, but Amy is persistent and manages to increase my range of motion, line everything back up again, and alleviate the pain. Where do I begin to sing my praises for Amy at FloatWell!! My physician recommended that I see Amy for a deep tissue massage following two cervical ablations that he had successfully performed to help alleviate my chronic neck pain. After 78 yrs. of active sporting activities(skiing, endurance horseback riding, Cycle OR adventures, ocean Kayaking) I have arthritis but I am not willing to stop being active in spite of pain. This cute little business makes a huge impression! I had such a wonderful experience even though I came in because I was in serious pain. I pinched a nerve and was referred here for amazing massage. The first time I went to FloatWell I got a facial and a massage. The facial was wonderful. I had never had that kind of facial before. They do a normal facial massage but then they use a vacuum looking machine that blows cold air on your skin. This is super good for collagen production and my skin felt amazing. I've also tried the jet water chair, that was super good. If you don't have time for a 60min or 90 min deep tissue massage definitely try this. I've only had deep tissue massages with Amy Knight. I haven't tried any other massage therapist because quite frankly Amy is amazing!! She is super professional and always helps me when something hurts. Today it was my neck, I hurt my back last week and have been to the chiropractor three times but noticed the pain traveling to my neck I couldn't even turn my head today and Amy came to my rescue. Thank you Amy!! I also did a 60 minute float. This was a new experience, you basically float in a shallow pool of salt water, in like a tank with blue lights. I was a little skeptical but I tried it. I actually liked it better turning off the lights and having it pitch dark. Wow!! That was truly a wonderful experience. I was able to take a few power naps throughout the session and I woke up super revitalized and alert. I don't know all the benefits of the salt water but even though I didn't get it on my face my skin and hair are super soft. The products they use at floatwell are organic, vegan and top quality products. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the CryoSauna and the pod saunas next! These guys almost killed me, seriously. I was left in the chryotherapy tube for over 25 minutes. Thank goodness my daughter-in-law was with me - she insisted that the girl behind the desk get me out - I had lost all sense of time. I then went to the float tank - the lights wouldn't turn off, so I had to get out, get dressed, and go back up to the front desk to ask her to turn the lights off. She said they were supposed to shut off automatically after a couple minutes, but they didn't. I will never go back, even though I had pre-paid for additional sessions. read more

Could not recommend this place more! I had the most amazing facial and cryotherapy from Trinity. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She explained every machine to me and what it did before we started and it made me feel super safe + confident in the treatments! I moved (lifting many heavy boxes) and tweaked nerves in my back and neck. I went to FloatWell and Amy worked her magic fingers into my many knots. I was so sore when I went in I could barely turn my head to one side. When I left, I was still sore but Amy was amazing! I felt a lot better than when I came in. But what was really cool, she called me the next day to see how I was doing! That's going over and above. When she heard I was still sore, she offered to have me come in again for an infrared sauna to loosen my back more. I did--and it made a huge difference. Thank you, Amy! Great treatment center and service. I've floated there a few times and am looking forward to trying the cryogenic chamber. Amy gives one of the best massages around, don't hesitate to try them out! Edit: I've now tried out their cryo. I did a pretty complete package that was awesome. I started with cryo, then a 90 min massage followed by a float. This is the combo of combos. I felt like a new man. The only thing I'd suggest is do not follow that combination with a busy or stressful night, as you'll likely be ready for bed regardless of the time. Loved my experience there. I had a massage yesterday and it was heavenly. For starters, they asked if I'd like to wait in their water massage chair. Yes, yes I do. Then, when it was my time I was led to a lovely room that was decorated beautifully. I was worried about being cold- but I shouldn't have! Warming pad on the bed. I did my first float today and it's the best thing I've done for myself in a long time. First of all, Floatwell Camas has bigger float chambers than other places in Vancouver. That was a big factor in my decision because the little round pods had my anxiety too high to try it out for a long time. These chambers are big enough that I floated in circles and I never felt closed in. This spa also feels like a spa. Nice products and linens, lovely modern facilities, and stellar service. I loved that I wasn't rushed before or after the float. I had time to shower and dress after without any pressure to ruin my calm. And they had everything I could've needed (except a hair brush, but I came prepared being a curly girl and all). Finally, and most impressively, I was in a car accident last month and have been in severe pain since. This float gave me an hour of completely pain free existence and even loosened my lumbar muscles enough that my sacrum FINALLY popped back into place. And I have felt so much better since then. I will absolutely be coming back and taking the membership plunge. If you have pain, stress, or are just plain overwhelmed with life (all three for me), I can't recommend float therapy enough. read more
