Found this place initially to find a new nail salon. I was very happy to see one of my old favorite nail techs working here from her own little studio. Kate is super talented with her nail art and gave me a gorgeous nude, sparkly new years look. While there, I learned more about the skincare services and booked an appointment as a birthday gift for myself. I am a big believer in the magic of K-skincare and go through the 10-step skincare process every morning and night. I looooove pampering myself and just went with the regular facial, because I just wanted to try it out along with wanting to pop a monster pimple on my chin (hormonal acne ackkk). Although this is the most basic package for facials. I felt so taken care of. In between the masks, I got a face, clavicle, arm, hand, and neck massage. As a massage junkie, I was in pure heaven. Yeah, the pressure is more than I am used to (and I LOVE pressure), I loved the pain! Through each massage move, I was taught what each pain point meant (I got lots of tension in my neck and possibly bad digestion haha). I also learned products that are targeted for older ladies (like Sulwhasoo and Estee Lauder) aren't the best for my skin, because they tend to run oily. By the end of the facial, my skin was soo shiny and moisturized. As someone who suffers under dry office heat then face numbingly cold winds, I felt like a new lady. I wanted to love this place, I really do. So I bought a ten session package of LDM facial treatment after initial consultation. The package costs $2k for ten sessions. If I don't buy package, it's $300 per treatment. So to save myself some money, I agreed myself into their package deal. In the consultation, the owner promised me that I will see results (tighter, more glossy skin) after three treatments. Mind you - I don't have perfect skin but if I were to rate it on a scale of ten, I would give it a seven to eight. No acne scars and I invest in good skincare regime (I have been using sk2 for more than 5 years now). I have dry skin during winter and get some acne's once a month before my period. I wanted some brightness which is the reason why I went for these treatments. To give you some background, LDM is a treatment where they use an ultrasound machine to encourage more collagen production. It is not a painful procedure. Skin looks pretty glossy and healthy after each session and I give credit to moisturizer/sunscreen and bb cream they apply after mask. After you wash it off, there's not much improvement to be seen. Fast forward after three weeks/ three sessions, I didn't see any improvement. I went for fourth session in hopes I might see "some changes". None nada. It might do some changes underneath the skin but nothing visible on the outside. So today was supposed to be my fifth session. They close at 7pm and take appointments by 5:30pm latest so they have 1.5 hours for each treatment. Life happens, today I ran 20 minutes late I called them at 5:38 and they bluntly told me they have to close at 7pm no matter what. Owner does my facial sessions and she's not willing to stay 20 mins late and improve overall customer satisfaction. She needs to leave at 7pm sharp no matter what. I was very upset by the way I was treated on the phone so I demanded a refund of the unused portion of my package. They charged me 10% cancellation fee ($200). I blame myself for not trying out a couple sessions and purchasing a package on the first day without checking their facilities or service level. For a $300 treatment, I expect outstanding service, complete serenity and luxurious experience. None of the three exist at this business. They demand 20% tip for each session as well. On the first day, they put me into a tiny room and staff kept coming in to get products every 10-20 minutes. My whiteheads are still intact after every treatment. For something that's priced as high as a 5-star hotel spa, yes I do have high expectations. Most people who come here are Korean women. I am not a confident Korean speaker and I found communication a little hard at this place. Non-Korean speakers - be aware. I can go on and on about this business. Owner is generally nice but if you are a native Korean speaker, you will get better service and deals. I thought I found my med spa for life but the search continues. read more

I've been a regular customer here for over two years and am exceedingly happy with my skin. Lumi and her wonderful staff are skilled and are also delightful people to spend time with. I have an aging, dry complexion that requires a whole lot more love and attention than it used to and thanks to Lumi and her staff, I get that in spades and look fresh and glowing every time I leave. Also the products that they use work really well and smell wonderful. I've bought several of them to support my skin in between appointments. As for any language barriers, I don't speak Korean and neither do any of my friends who go here and we have no trouble at all getting the attention or the services we need. Awesome custom facial by very knowledgeable ladies. I got an aqua microdermabrasion which is super nice and leaves the skin cool rather than burned. They use quality Korean skincare material. I've been using Korean products for years but had not had the pleasure of having a Korean facial because of location. So the next time I had a planned trip to Nova, I decided to take advantage. As an African American, i was a bit hesitant about some of the different goals that Korean women have for their skin (namely whitening), but i actually felt quite relaxed once i met the owner and she evaluated my skin. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. They totally warned us of the difference between American and Korean facials so we would not be freaked out by the many steps and strong massage. (I also brought my aunt along) Lumi chose the aqua peel for me and crypto for my aunt. We changed in the small dressing room and hopped on the tables. Inflatable massage cuffs were placed on our feet and legs and once everything was situated the facial began. Double cleanse, exfoliate then mask. Next was the chosen treatment and then the second mask. In between each step was a massage, chest/shoulders/back, arms and then face. A full 90 minutes of bliss. So blissed our that the price just didn't phase me (told beforehand). Expect to pay 150 for the specialty facials and with tip 180. I know many Korean women are doing this bi/weekly, but i will definitely commit to making this trip at least quarterly, if not bimonthly. Self care folks! read more

Came in for a facial after reading some yelp reviews. The owner provided great attention when I got my facial. I felt so relaxed and my face was glowing at the end. She explained each step and what products she was applying. It was reassuring she was explaining the process because I have extremely sensitive and dry skin I was afraid that I was going to get an allergic reaction. This was my first time getting a facial and I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen, but some of the products made my face terribly sting! She said that it is normal to sting for the first minute or so. A plus was that they even had a leg massage/compression massage machine while you get your facial. I'd rather not have it at all unless they have very high expertise with fully understanding on individual skin. I've been seeing Lumi for 2 years now to take care of my sensitive/delicate skin and she has always done her job precisely. She knows how to take care of individual skin with right degree. I'm 100% guarantee to get the best result from Green Peel, Stem Cell with Aqua Peeling or whatever she would recommend for certain cases- I indeed trust her judgement. If you want to take care of your skin at best and you should, you should really try her at least one time and you will see.
