Beanie babies, Lord of the Rings figures, Video games, Littlest Pet Shop, Little People (the ones we grew up with), Nerf Guns, DVDs, the itty bitty Polly Pockets (I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid), old PlayStation and video game accessories, Vintage clothing, Schleich figures, dolls, cars, and so much more--I felt like I had been transported back to my childhood. I saw toys that I or my friends had when we were growing up, and the nostalgia hit hard. As I walked around the store I felt a sense of childlike awe, and was caught off guard when I saw a beanie baby horse that I had as a child and had lost. It was a little bit like traveling back in time. Their prices were much lower than I had anticipated--especially since most of what caught my attention were toys I haven't seen anywhere since the early 2000's. The collection included a great deal of rare toys, games, and stuffed animals. They also had some toys that I've seen in the stores more recently, but Shiloh's Picks had a much more appealing price tag for them. The proprietor was friendly and approachable, and seemed very knowledgeable when it came to different toys and games. If you are looking for good toys on a budget, or rare items that you can't find anywhere else, this is a great shop to check out.

Treehouse books is a wonderful little spot especially if you have little ones…read more I've noticed the differences in the books shops around the area. One is more of a wide variety but more modern, Tree house focuses more on kids and young adults, the Book Exchange is more like a library with collections, older , modern, categorized etc. this is a wonderful thing because you can't help but go through all of them. Treehouse does have a wide selection but over all vibe is bring your kids in and there is a flavor of literature for everyone. They are price very well and I was even able to get a replica ring of THE ONE RING ... TO RULE THEM ALL lol . Treehouse is a wonderful spot so don't pass it up.

During a road trip to Portland, my wife & I stopped in Ashland for a day.  While walking around…read moredowntown, we found this lovely children's bookstore.  Housed in a former bank, the staff here have crammed children's books, toys, games and other trinkets in every nook and cranny of the place, including inside the bank vault in the back of the store.  They have optimized the small space, offering the inventory of a much larger store.  Despite the vast number of titles available, the store is very clean and well organized.  The staff are also very helpful and were willing to answer all of our questions.  This is a must stop for us the next time we visit Ashland!

The floor is glossy AF. A sign on the window advertising the "Paddington National Park" collection brought me in. People used to ask me about it when I worked in Yosemite, so I was curious as to what it was. I was surprised to find that this store carried dozens of the same exact products as the Yosemite Village Gift shop-- same brands and everything. They also had products I'd seen at other various gift shops around California, like the Smokey Bear backpacks I'd seen in Shasta. They had some cute national park themed outdoor blankets on clearance for $29.99. In the upstairs section, they had all kinds of local Oregon jams. Downstairs, I found a display full of huckleberry candies. I searched for the huckleberry dark chocolate bar that was discontinued in Yosemite last year, but to no avail. They had super cute jewelry from a New York designer that looked just like Betsey Johnson stuff, but cuter. They had some of the cutest floral dresses I've ever seen. I might have to come back for one. They had the best selection of magnets, stickers, and keychains I've seen anywhere so far. I seriously wanted to buy everything here.
