They are all extremely smart and personable and skilled, finding these talented individuals is probably why rolling robots is so successful in addition to the curriculum. There is a very high ratio of counselor to student and very small class sizes, which gives it a much more personalized feel an individualized attention. My son says this is his favorite camp. Every week dove deep into a specific topic, detailing a wide variety of hands-on activities that kept our chlid engaged, curious, and excited to learn. The entire process--from registration to drop-off--was easy and stress-free. The staff were patient, and truly dedicated to fostering a love of learning. I was impressed also at the safety measures and attentive to details of the organization, this must be from years of experience. The best part is also having to run into friends by surprise in the same camp during the same week. We will keep Asteme in our enrichment corridor for camps, holiday day-camps, and regular enrichment courses during the year. Thank you!

Special recognition to Hogan, Angel, and Jordan for the extended commitment to educating children. My children's complaints are that their school year is not longer! (They followed the private school calendar, which is shorter than the LAUSD calendar). The school and the teachers are true gems.

One star off for no longer having a parking lot. My friend said it had been converted to an outdoor play area but we came on a day it had rained so maybe that's why it wasn't available for the party. Parking is a pain but persistence paid off and I found a spot two blocks down. Be careful of permit only parking areas I don't live in the area so I don't see myself coming often but it think it's a neat place to take your kids but I feel age 5 and over would appreciate it more

I asked some questions via email and they were pretty fast in responding and being very helpful. Upon arriving, there were a couple kids who were "regulars" and all seemed happy and excited to be there. The facility looks like a very equipped community center/rec room. Clean, well maintained, a huge plethora of toys to keep a kid very busy. During the day they leave the venue to go to the beach, a local park, zip lining, etc. Seems very well run, organized, and they start the day off by having a meeting as a group to talk about the day's schedule and activities. I came to pick up the kids 15 min early and they were having such a good time, I let them play until it was time to go because they did not want to leave. I am so glad that I decided instead to go check it out in person. Such a pleasant surprise. A most beautiful (and clean!) facility focused on real art (not piles of papers & craft projects that you don't know what to do with). Other activities like Legos, clay/kinetic sand, even an area for ball play so kids can shake their wiggles out! The most warm & encouraging staff, led by Miss Sandra who truly knew my son after his first visit. We started with a one-day trial on Memorial Day & ended up signing up for 3 weeks of summer camp. (2 of which are already sadly done). My son cannot wait to go back in July for his 3rd week & we are trying to rearrange our schedule to add another week. It is that special! They do a great job of letting kids express themselves, and at the same time teaching them about different artists and techniques. We had her birthday party there this year and it was AMAZING. Lots of kids painting and a mural for everyone to be a part of. The staff did a great job managing the event given there was just one person running the show with a lot of interest. We stopped by to check out the mural and I've painted at the studio before. It's a really lovely place and I was excited to see such a good showing. There's so much creativity in Santa Monica and Ally is doing a great job fostering the nest generation of it!

Danielle is a wonderful owner and is just finishing up a renovation that makes it very cute inside! The girls at the front desk are always so welcoming and easy to coordinate with. Every teacher there is great with the kids, very patient and fun. At the end of the school year there is an amazing showcase that is put on at SAMO High's auditorium and the production is terrific. There is no pressure to participate but it is really fun for all ages. My daughter loves dancing but is not 'advanced' - they don't put a lot of pressure on the kids and really encourage fun over perfection. The other thing I love is the free wifi. I often bring my computer down there and get caught up while I watch the dance class through the viewing window. The only downside is the classes can fill up fast so you really need to get on the schedule right away - now is a good time to get the fall classes going. If you have trouble parking there is usually a meter not far from the entrance. See you at dance class!!
