The class sizes are never too packed, so you actually get personal attention while still learning in a relaxed, fun group environment. Whether you're learning centering, trimming, or glazing techniques, the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I've learned more here in a few weeks than I did in months elsewhere. They even offer "field" trips where we've gone and done raku and pit fire. It's a great group. My husband and I took a semi private class here on a weekend, I forget if it was Saturday or Sunday morning, but we each paid $80 and had a two hour class. Our teacher, Megs was great, but could have explained the process a bit better. She more showed us and had us follow by example, sometimes jumping in and taking over for us when things got out of hand, like our clay being totally off center and wobbling horribly on the electric wheel. We both made two ceramic pieces, but had to pay an additional $10 each to have those fired in the kiln. The $80 we paid covered the one piece we were allowed and the extra $10 was for the additional piece we made that we requested to be fired in the kiln. I didn't like how we couldn't come back and fix up our pieces, like sand it down and glaze it. I was really looking forward to glazing our pieces, but we could only look at a wall full of color choices and write ours down to have it painted by someone else and fired. Full-Circle said they would call us in about a month to come pick it up. It's been a month, and they did just email us to pick up our pieces, showing us a photo of both of ours. Unfortunately, we couldn't pick it up before Hanukkah, and my husband wanted to gift his mom a handmade ceramic piece, but it wasn't done in time. We really like how close the studios is to our home. We could have walked there but left the house late that morning, so we drove. We got lunch at the taco place next door afterwards. We had free street parking that day so it must have been a Sunday. We enjoyed our pottery class and would pay to be members, but it's too expensive, so a single class will do for now. read more

Full Circle Pottery is an excellent ceramic studio. Patty and Liz are great owners and the rest of their staff are wonderful artists. I really enjoy the extra events that they host. Field trips, various master classes and lectures, different firing opportunities and the sales that take place in the studio, like the Fall Festival before Thanksgiving. The studio is a great artistic environment and people are so welcoming and generous with their knowledge and experience. I just enjoy being surrounded by this creative and warm energy. Unfortunately they aren't open 24/7, or else I would be here all the time. By the way, I think they're prices are the lowest around. Check it out for yourself. I did the four week session and really enjoyed the experience, though I'm shite at making things round and have the artistic eye of a rabid squirrel. Shark was very skilled, patient, and helped correct some of my more unique pieces. Her teaching style was great - would demo on a piece of her own and then rotate 1:1 if you needed help or advice. Everyone showed improvement through the four weeks, including me! Looking forward to signing up again and trying for a plate. I've been going to Full-Circle Pottery for over a year and I must say that Patty and Liz are so amazing! They genuinely care about their clients as people. They are kind, caring, attentive, and helpful. They're willing to meet you at any level you are at and whatever you want to work on. The place itself is cute and there's a nice outside section for some fresh air. (Never had trouble parking real close which is a plus!) Tons of ceramics wheels too and a large table to work on sculpture. There's 22 high fire glaze options (and more of you do combos). I highly recommend trying them out if you've been interested in doing pottery. Simply call! I've been looking for a studio to take pottery lessons and I'm so glad that I found this through Yelp! I took the intro wheel class with Basak 3 times. Basak is very kind and attentive. She is a great instructor. The third time that I took the class, I appreciated how she was attentive to me as well as others in the class who did not have any experience with the wheel. I do like how they ensure that you have something to take back at the end of the class. They tell you that you can keep 5 pieces. During my second time making the class, there was an explosion in the kiln and several pieces were wrecked, but they still let me glaze some other bisque pieces, so I could get experience with glazing. Since then, they suggested that I try a membership where I come in one night a week and have the opportunity to work on the wheel, access to glazes and the kiln. Patty, who I believe is one of the owners and a very experienced potter, is very friendly and kind. She has been accommodating on days that I cannot make it and would like to drop in on a different member time. She also has been helpful when I have questions about how to do certain things. I'm looking forward to sticking with this and getting better! read more

For a long time, I wanted to take pottery classes and I found Full Circle Pottery right here on Yelp. I can say it was the best decision I made to finish off the year! Patty was an excellent teacher. Patient, kind and always there to help you. The class was small so you still got to meet new people while receiving personal attention. I took the basic course that was made up of 4 classes. First two were on the wheel, third class was about learning to trim and the fourth one was about glazing. I highly recommend them. It was tons of fun (she always plays good music too!) I have been coming here for a few months now, on and off. I've taken their intro class a few times now. The instructor Basak is just so lovely, kind, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I now love to do this class just as a way to turn off my brain. It's a 3 hour class but it goes by so fast! My daughter took after school pottery lessons in the spring and really loved the classes. She was very excited to see her completed work that was fired after the last class. We received an email about a pick up window when we would be out of town. I immediately emailed back and asked if there was another time I could stop by - either before or after to pick up my daughter's work. No response. We were informed that if the items were not picked up within a month that they would be thrown out. I called and left voicemail messages, emailed, and stopped by in-person numerous times over many months. No response and not open when I stopped by. I don't typically write these reviews, however your lack of response to pick-up requests for an 8 year old girl is just not cool. Very disappointing. read more

My 12 year old son attended a Full-Circle Pottery Kids Camp in August and loved it!! It was an amazing experience and he really enjoyed the time that he was there. The camp focused on hand building with clay and time on the wheel. He painted and glazed several pieces that he brought home at the conclusion of camp. Wow! Just wow! It was everything and more than I expected. Patty is amazing as an instructor and overall is an amazing person! I enrolled in the 4 week introductory course and now that it is over I will be registering for the open sessions. Not only because I am that awesome at ceramics (let me have my fantasies), but because it's just a great space to clear your mind and be creative. One of the main reasons I chose this studio over others in the area and some even closer to home for me, were the hours of the course and the small classes. My 8-person group at work came to Full Circle for a 2 1/2 -hour pottery session using the pottery wheels. Patty and Liz were perfect instructors, motivators, and creators. All 8 of us threw a great pot. Patty and Liz then let them dry, glazed them with a color of our choosing, and fired them. We took clients for a 2-hour nighttime session and had an amazing time. There were nine wheels so everyone had their chance to make their own creation. Two hours was well enough time. We organized a Boy Scout Sculpture Merit Badge at Full Circle Pottery. Patty and Liz were OUTSTANDING! To hold the attention of seven 9-15 year olds is not easy, especially for 2 hours. But the boys could have happily stayed longer. They tailored a class around our specific needs - sculpting a life sized head. But they also gave instruction of the wheel, which they kids also enjoyed! Everyone left loving the experience and thinking this was the best merit badge ever! read more
