I discovered the Fork and Spoon after completing my 2016 taxes on 17 April 2017 and what a fabulous way to spend the evening after receiving a $4.00 refund (what a joke!). I found their menu to be very diverse and absolutely delicious. Their main courses are far more than one person can finish so plan on taking a doggy bag home and enjoying it the next day, it will be superb even after a day or so see The refrigerator. There was wait of 30 minutes and we were put at a table next to another table. We could hear their whole conversation due to 18 inch spacing between tables. We asked to be moved to an empty table and was told no bc the table was for another server. The coffee was hot water and no options to have stronger coffee. The food had no flavor or seasoning. The classic eggs Benedict was cold and not hot to eat and hollandaise sauce had no seasoning. The pancakes were the best part of the meal even though slightly overdone. My husband and I decided to try this place for breakfast today. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and he ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast. The service was prompt, and our coffees were delivered within a minute of ordering. First of all, the coffee tasted really, really good. That is already a plus for me, because I hate when you go out to eat and you only have so-so coffee. When our entrées arrived, they looked scrumptious. My eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. The runny yolk on the egg was cooked absolutely perfectly. My husband started in on his chicken fried steak and immediately said "mmmmmmmmmm my god. You gotta try this." Of course I did, and yes, he was correct. It was amazingly good. The coating on the chicken fried steak was crispy, the gravy was delicious, and the steak was tender. Not that he was still hungry after eating his breakfast, but my husband has a thing for blueberry pancakes. He decided to order a short stack, and was equally pleased with those as well. I tried a bite or two, because that's all I had room for. Yes, wow, those pancakes were delicious! Our server was great, the place was extremely clean, and yes, we WILL be back! A little pricey but the portions are above average. The food is very good. My complaint is that upon receiving my bill, I asked my waitress if they had a military discount . She promptly replied "yes". I handed her my CC and expected her to take the discount off the final bill. She did not. I didn't realize it till I was checking my receipts against my CC statement. I also think it's a poor way to conduct business by adding an upcharge for using a CC to pay. Instead, I would suggest you charge what you think you need and then place a statement on the menu that you can save pennies by paying cash. A win win for everyone. Poor seating management, 1.5 hours and still waiting to be seated. Staff kept seating smaller groups in large group area, causing my group to wait for the smaller groups to order and finish their meals before we could be seated. The chicken fried steak was excellent! So was the sausage gravy. The biscuits were disappointing. Just seemed very bland, just sort of tasted like lard. Might have forgotten to add salt to the dough. They restaurant has decent food but I am however very disappointed in service. After waiting 50 minutes for a table. We were sat and our order was taken. After about 35 more minutes we noticed everyone that came in after is was getting food. The then server came back and said the system didn't take our order. So, me and my husband were visiting the area for his birthday. We always use yelp to find good spots to eat and this one looked pretty promising. The wait was about 30 minutes, no big deal. But when it was finally our turn, I was sitting outside and the hostess came out side to call our name. I got up and was walking to the door and she literally just closed the door on me. I had to open it back up for myself. Like I get it, it's not a huge deal, but it just doesn't feel welcoming. Besides that the food was subpar. Probably could have made it better myself. But the place is pretty cute on the inside. I feel like this place has potential. Just have to remember to make the customers feel good and maybe put a little more thought into the food. I wanted to like this place more. A friend recommended it, and it was ranked a four. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. We were there at night. It wasn't busy, but I thought we'd never get seated. I would have left, but my friend wanted to wait. Once we got a waitress, it went a bit smoother. The waitress was quite nice. The food was decently priced and fresh, but the corned beef in the Reuben seemed meh--not so authentic. My friend liked it better--she was happy to be in a quieter, more laid back place. The hostess said the wait was about 20 mins and we got in a little under that. there are SOOO many food options that i couldn't decide what to get. I ended up with the philly cheese steak omelet. it tasted so good! the horseradish sauce was definitely so much better than i expected- definitely not too overpowering. i'm from pa, so it was perfect taste of home. My husband got the ranch hand and the sausage links were great too (of course i had to steal a link). The portions are perfect that you're full but you're not overstuffed that you can't go tubing afterwards. We have eaten at Fork and Spoon several times and the food is consistently delicious and the service is always great. We can recommend the grits, French toast, bacon pancakes, the Philly cheesesteak and the big German platter (forgot the name) that is made to be shared by two. (Our friends who served in the military in Germany said it was delicious and authentic). They don't take reservations but it's worth the wait. We had a group of 15 one Sunday recently and everyone agreed their meals were very good. Our server, Tori was outstanding. My husband just recently posted a review. What he said was correct. The owner was calling us a liar. What happened was I came inside I let the host know we will be sitting outside because we have a dog. He went to talk to his manager and server, came back and said they will not serve us outside because it wad too cold. No one came looking for us after that. They flat out denied us service. Man oh man, is this place absolutely delicious!!!! It's a little hard to find as it's nestled in a shopping plaza towards the back. When we drove up to the plaza it was mainly empty. We saw a bunch of cars parked and piled up in front of a building in the back... That was fork and spoon LOL We got there probably around 10:00 a.m. and we were greeted with a warm smile but a warning at the weight may take 30 to 45 minutes. Judging by the plates we saw at tables nearby, it looked to be worth the wait. It absolutely was. I ordered a short stack of pancakes with a side of eggs and sausage. I added pecans and strawberries to the pancakes bc why not lol everything was delicious, the only weird thing was they put the strawberries on top of the pancakes sliced but not heated up with the pancake?
