We were hungry while waiting to hear back from a friend. Found Wafflelicious on Yelp. It did not disappoint. We found the restaurant very busy but were fortunate to get seated pretty quickly. While walking to our seats, we saw so many delicious plates go by. This made for a difficult decision. My husband ordered the Berry Dream Sweet Waffle with a side of ham. I ordered the Southern Chicken Waffle Sandwich. Both were delicious. However, the side of ham was not much in the respect of protein for my husband, so you may want to ask about other options if you need more protein. There's a few things that could raise the review and that's quality. The coffee wasn't very good and that's do to buying economy coffee. The syrup is thin and missing that sweet punch that you get from traditional syrup, again economy. My wife had the eggs Benedict and again the ham tast like a cheaper lunch meat and Patatos a little dry but over all the taste of these dishes are OK but changing just a few items could really make the difference. Came in with family for a nice brunch. We walked in saw the sign about wait to be seated but no one was by the door. All the employees were behind the counter looking at us. So we went to go seat ourselves. Then an employee pointed and said in a stern voice go back & wait to be seated. Okay y'all, this is the spot to eat breakfast if you love waffles. I ordered the chicken and waffles with the heart shaped vanilla waffles. OMG every bite was heaven. Everything was cooked perfectly. Tyler was my server. He has a great and welcoming smile and was extremely attentive. My drinks were never empty. The vibe of the place gave me old school dinner mixed with modern day seating. Now, it was my first time. And I was very disappointed with with a female employee with full sleeves and a Hispanic male I heard talking very loudly about politics. They were older. I met my family at Wafflelicious for lunch on New Year's Day. It's a cute little restaurant on the inside with some outdoor seating available. They seem to do a pretty good business and that's because they serve some pretty good food. I had the waffle Benedict which is exactly what you would think, instead of the English muffin there's a waffle in its place. The egg was perfectly poached sitting on top of Canadian bacon on top of a waffle and hollandaise sauce. It was absolutely delicious. My youngest daughter had the Avacado and egg waffle that looked incredible, she said it was every bit as good as it looked. My oldest daughter just had a plain waffle and really liked it. My son in law had the Monte Cristo waffle and he also said it was very good. Our server, Cole was excellent. He checked on us often making sure we had everything we needed. This is a newer place across town from us, but we decided to try it out because my significant other really likes waffles and we were wanting to go out for brunch. We went late on a Saturday morning and there was a wait of 15 minutes or so. The dining room was small and we were seated at a small table for two. There wasn't anywhere to put my purse so I had to put it on the floor. The restaurant was very loud inside so it was hard to hear each other across our tiny table, or hear the waiter. They should invest in some acoustic panels; there is definitely room for them on the walls. We each ordered the Longhorn coffee with oat milk. It didn't come with whipped cream as expected, I guess because we asked for oat milk. Next time I will explain that I don't have an intolerance and just prefer oat milk, so I will hopefully get the whipped cream. The coffees were good though. Our waiter was very friendly and fairly attentive. My dining companion got the Monte Cristo waffle, which wasn't really much like a Monte Cristo, it was more like a usual breakfast platter (waffle, ham, eggs) plus swiss cheese, all piled up. For a Monte Cristo you usually have jam to dip it in, it's usually a sandwich, etc. But the ingredients were good and he liked the waffle. I got the Southern Chicken Waffle Sandwich and asked for it without arugula. I also made sure they'd bring syrup. Do not order this sandwich if you don't like thick breading on fried chicken. Since the breading was flavorful I didn't mind this, but I could see someone being like, "this bite is all breading and no chicken!). I liked the little bit of aioli drizzle and it was good mixed with the syrup provided. Again, like the Monte Cristo, it wasn't really a sandwich, it was a waffle with chicken, egg, and bacon piled on. The bacon was perfectly done. I liked that we were asked how we wanted our eggs even though the menu sometimes specified a style (he got scrambled and I got over medium). I couldn't finish my food so now I have some to enjoy later. I would go back, but I'm not sure how soon that will be since this is on the other side of town from where I live, and I'd only be able to go on weekends due to their hours. read more

I brought it back in and requested a waffle with no powdered sugar. We tried this new addition to our side of New Braunfels. The remodel of the space is bright and open, making it feel larger than the restaurant previously in this location. It was nice to be greeted at the door and taken to the seating. The young man who greeted us was also our server, and he was friendly and welcoming. I had the corned beef with hash browns (which were the cubed potato kind - not shredded). The potatoes were crisp - just the way I like them. The corned beef was tender. The potato to meat ratio was a little heavy on the potatoes, but it was tasty, nonetheless. My husband had bacon, eggs and chocolate chip waffles. The bacon was also cooked deliciously crispy. I am not generally a huge waffle fan because I like savory breakfast. However, these waffles were really good. Nice crisp on the outside, but soft, fluffy inside. They were generous with the chocolate chips (which are $1 upcharge), and the warmed syrup made the perfect finish. The prices were reasonable for a good portion of food. (I had some left to bring home.). I note that in addition to savory waffles, they also have some interesting sandwich and salad options for those who don't like breakfast after a certain time of day (like me). First time here, looked like a cute place. Parking was not great. We walked it- we were not greeted because the hostess was not at her spot and the cashier who takes to go orders wasn't there either. Someone directed us the hostess to be seated and we were right at the entrance blocking people entering and those leaving- such a bad spot! We were seated and served by Cole who did a great job and was attentive. We got there before a rush but our food was bland, coffee wasn't anything to rave about and the waffles weren't even flavorful, they weren't soggy but they weren't crunchy kinda just mid.
