I came in with an order for 13 suits, I had all of the sizes written down along with each groomsman/Dad's name. Normally you would think they would value your business and go to great lengths to make this an easy process. Unfortunately they were very poorly equipped to handle large orders and didn't seem to go the extra mile to make this a painless experience on me. I had several major issues with them from losing a suit, giving groomsmen their wrong shirts, to not even calling the groomsmen when their suits were delivered to their local store. But one thing made me extremely angry. When we bought the suits both my wife and I were lead to believe that the tailoring was included in the price of the suits. BOTH of us were under this impression after speaking with the store manager and paying. When it came time to get the suits tailored, they charged everyone for the tailoring. I was very upset by this as they claimed they "point blank" told us that it was extra for tailoring. If they "point blank" told us, don't you think between my wife and I that one of us would have had the correct information? They then gave us some run around that had very little legitimate merit. I'm not going to get into the details of the other things they messed up but as a groom who had a ton going on with all that is involved with planning a wedding, the last thing I needed was for the suits to be a huge headache. You would think an organization like this would be well equipped to handle weddings and make it as seamless as possible on customer, but this is definitely not the case.

She recommended what to shorten, lengthen etc. Then she asked if I needed any shirts and ties. I said yes and asked her to recommended something nice. She put together two shirts and a tie (a purple shirt I probably never would have picked out but loved). I had a great time and was out the door in 40min, spent $450 total for suit, 2 shirts, tie, and alterations! The whole experience was great to just walk in and have someone outfit you and care if you look and feel great! One of the higher-up employees was speaking very disrespectfully to the seamstress right in front of customers, which was really uncomfortable to witness. I arrived for my scheduled 11:00 appointment to simply pick up the dress--nothing needed to be done--but I was told I would have to come back at 5:00 to get it. They also never called me when the dress came in. Earlier in the process, they told me I needed to find my own seamstress for alterations, so I arranged that on my own. Then, because they didn't have my dress in on time, they suddenly told me they could "fit me in" with their seamstress instead. The whole situation felt very disorganized and frustrating. Overall, the customer service was poor and the experience was far more stressful than it should have been for something as important as a wedding dress. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

Nikki, the owner, was also extremely attentive over email and made booking my appointment so easy. Her responsiveness and warmth set the tone before I even walked through the door. One of the things I loved most was how intimate the space felt. We had the whole shop to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. I am far prior to that stage of life and am here to tell you that this store has much about it to like. For one thing, their habit of cutting tops and jackets in loose, boxy shapes is improving; styles are looking more fitted in recent times, so that quilted jacket doesn't look like it could double as a microwave cozy. I particularly love the Travelers line: skirts, dresses and so on made of a microfiber that doesn't wrinkle, so you can wad it up and throw it in a suitcase and it will forgive you. I've had a skirt from this line for several years that's calf length and printed with bold flowers; it still looks stylish, i get compliments on it all the time, it flows beautifully and no wrinkles! Chico's really has great jewelry: if you like big, bold, unique and interesting pieces, check it out. I was told recently that they got a new buyer and their style is being reflected in the jewelry choices. Along with jewelry I will include accessories: I am not normally a belt person, but I found a FABULOUS metal-accented belt there that I have been wearing with various skirts and jeans; quite literally, every time I have worn it I've gotten at least one compliment on it, generally more, and I love it, so it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. I bought a second belt but it didn't quite work (stiffness made for difficult adjustment, and also it just didn't sit right on the couple of pants that I was going to wear it with), so I had to return it. Easiest and fastest return I ever had to make anywhere, so the staff is to be commended. The staff is to be commended in general for personable and efficient service. Jeanine helped me both on my shopping day and today when I made my return, so kudos to her for good work. The downsides here: price range is on the high side. Also, they have a weird size scale, (0,1,2 & 3, with some half sizes on some items), so it takes a bit of work to determine where you may fall. Overall, unique pieces and friendly service add up to a nice shopping experience. Though I am on the younger end of their clientele, I will check out Chico's particularly for unusual jewelry, accessories and the Travelers line.
