Great men's clothing store for suits and casual attire... I purchased a black suit for an upcoming formal wedding.

Not a good place for wedding rentals. Pricing is at $340 per. Service was a bit slow for measurements. The problem was when picking up, items for various men were missing. Which required a return visit. So unless you live in the neighborhood , not worth it. They should check that everything is there, before you are told it's ready for pickup. Disappointed. read more

I can't say enough about my positive experience with the professional - let's call them magicians - who operate this shop. From the front-of-house stylists to the amazing master tailor, I was in and out in under an hour with a pick up scheduled within a week for a fitted suit, shirts, and ties for multiple events. I watched others in the shop similarly transformed for their events with the same flourish. I was even advised on the right undershirt to wear, the appropriate break for my hem, and the appropriate style of knot for my tie. I was told to launder my shirts before making any further adjustments, and did only to discover they were right and saved me from insisting on unnecessary tailoring that would have made the fit worse rather than better. Unbelievable that places like this still exist in the US outside of the movies. I felt like I visited the Kingsman and came away feeling like a million bucks, incredibly confident in my look even with some weight gain working against me. I immediately bought additional suits of the same style, and have decided to come back here when I'm ready for the bespoke treatment. Going anywhere else is now out of the question for me. This is what a gentleman's clothier should be, past, present, and always. If you've ever had a bad shopping experience or a lackluster fit elsewhere, come here and have your faith and confidence restored. Your money cannot be better spent. read more

Great service and a fantastic custom suit. I was tired of picking off the rack at large department stores (mainly Nordstrom), and was able to order a suit that fits my already broad shoulders without the jacket making me look "like a brick". For a fully custom suit with quality fabric, shirt, socks, and cuff links I was out the door for a few hundred less than I would have spent on an off-the-rack suit with alterations at Nordstrom. Staff is much more friendly and not salesmen-esque like in a department store. I cannot recommend supporting this small business enough, they also sell more than just formal wear. I purchased a custom made suit for my daughter's wedding recently. Newer styles rarely fit me well nor do they look good on this senior male of 67 years of age. Was going to go to Nordstrom but thought I would give this independent, rather local operator a shot. The experience was wonderful. Tim gave me the option of altering a suit off the rack or designing something custom made. Louis was engaging, thorough, and a pleasure with which to deal. He understood the intricacies of my fitting problems and addressed them without hesitation. The result was amazing! Let me just say I do not write reviews often, but when I do its either for a really bad experience, or a really good experience. Rarely in-between. I needed to have some pants let out in the waist. The individual knew exactly what to do. I paid and left. Came back to try on the pants, and pick them up. They felt great! Like new pants, and felt so much more comfortable. I tried to even tip the gentleman as thats just what you do, and he denied my tip and said to just come back again. I will! Its gentleman like that, that keep customers coming back! I cannot say much about their quality of work because I was so disgusted by their horrible customer service. This is really my first experience with a tailor. My husband had 3 pairs of pants he needed hemmed but his work hours created a difficult schedule. I was going to be easier for me to drop them off. I called to see if he needed to come in and have it measured or if I could drop them off. I was told to bring them in. Then I asked turnaround time. The man on the phone told me he can only wear one pair at a time, to let them know which ones he needed goes and they can have them done when I needed them. Helpful, but could they have the pants done by the end of the day? What was the minimum time? And when would the other pairs be done? I brought the pants in as I had been told. I don't know the name of the man in the store when I walked in, but after I explained I needed them hemmed he said "so you are going to tell me the length and if it's wrong you are going to pay again to have it done correctly?" What a rude statement! He could have conveyed the exact same thing by saying "we really recommend your husband come in so we can get an exact measurement; I don't want you to have to pay to have it done again." Same message, but this way makes feel like he cares. I have no desire to deal with them again. I will find a tailor who cares about customers more than the money they bring into the business. read more

My favorite place to shop for men's clothing. I stopped in after reading reviews on Yelp to get my suits and sport jackets alterations. I talked with Louis sharing my Keto lifestyle change for the past three months and due to my weight loss I needed alterations. Louis took my measurements, he suggested that it'd be more costly for me to have my suits and sport jackets altered from dropping three suit sizes and losing four inches on my waist. Louis made a few recommendations and I purchased two new Hart Schaffner Marx suits, a sport jacket, pants, and Enro shirts. And after making my purchase I had some buyer remorse like most people do but after checking a variety of men's clothing websites and Amazon, I found that Louis for Men is less expensive than them all including Amazon. My only interaction with the staff here was returning a tux that my boyfriend rented for a wedding. He returned it late, which I completely understand was our fault and I was happy to pay the $25 late fee. What I was not happy about, however, was the scolding I received. The way I was spoken to was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'm already paying a late fee, I don't also need to be belittled. Louis for men is not a place that you want to rent a tuxedo from. I rented out a tuxedo for prom man at front was so hungry to get the sale. He made it seem like he took my measurements, but when I got the tux the jacket was way to long and it didn't look anything like the picture plus he said it was slim fit, but it definitely wasn't. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the tux actually came in on time. I've never been to such a money hungry store before. I rather spend the extra $20 at Mens warehouse to get a better tux. read more

I went to Louis for Men to have a pair of tuxedo pants hemmed and sleeves for 2 suit coats shortened. I also asked them to fix 2 pairs of suit pants that were improperly hemmed by another local tailor. Joe and the team did a great job on each item of clothing, and during the fitting process they provided very good advice regarding different fit options and how to properly care for the suits/tux. We were very happy with the care and attention paid to my son when he rented his senior prom tuxedo. This is an extremely nice establishment that treats every customer as an individual. Bottom Line: Louis knows how to take care of customers (including price, turn around time, attention to detail, and skill of work). I have been a customer here (off and on) for 10 years or so, and my expectations been perpetually exceeded with the services Louis provides. A recent example is that my fiance stopped by and was looking to pick some things out for me, and Louis was able to recall my sizes. When she presented me with the clothing, I was pleasantly surprised to find shirts, jackets and sweaters fitting so well despite the fact that It had been about 8 months since the last time I was in the store. Usually I would expect to pay a premium for getting the caliber of service that Louis provides, but I have find his prices to be more than reasonable. I recently recieved my leather jacket after having it reconditioned. I couldnt be more satisfied! I thought about doing this several times because the jacket is a very heavy jacket and you just cannot find these. Anyway I went in there and met with Louis and he described what they would do. What an awesome buying experience! I went in to buy a new black suit for my son's wedding. Dwayne treated me like royalty. Bought a beautiful off the rack suit that was custom tailored for less than $400. The suit fit like a glove ! I've probably bought over 100 suits in my career and I have to say that this was one of the best purchases I've made. I am definitely going back for a couple of more suits.
