Very good service from John. Purchased 3 of the made in Mexico Abboud suits... these are inexpensive wool blends. But, with the in-house tailor the suits fit perfectly. Not as nice as the Abboud Bespoke 100% wool collection but much more affordable. I used to only buy Brooks Brothers 3-button suits when I wore suits to work every day. Now, I seldom wear a suit and these made-to-measure suits are a nice alternative. Deducting 1 star because the pressing machine has been out of order for 9 weeks, with no ETA, forcing me to go to the MW in Bolingbrook which is a little bit further away. read more

The rental associate at the aurora IL location was extremely rude and couldn't relay information around rentals, he left out deadline details to order rental before wedding and payment at fitting details, and when I asked questions he didn't understand, he kept saying pick up is two days before wedding and few days after to drop off. He had to call a manager over to explain because he didn't comprehend and he was mean. read more

I brought my 14 year-old here to get a suit for homecoming and Ryan tended to us and he was amazing. He was patient, very knowledgeable and savvy and modern fashion, I'm an old Dad and I don't have that information anymore, and Ryan was incredible helping us with all of our needs. The customer service at this store, is Great! I went in looking for a pea coat. Glenn showed me what they had in stock and after trying on the choices in the store I selected a brand which was not in my size in the store. Consequently he ordered one. when it came in I tried it on and thought it fit ok. After I went home and tried it on again I thought another size would work better. I came back in and Glenn and myself talked to their tailor and we agreed that a smaller size would work better. So he called and ordered another one in my size from another store. Very disinterested service. Came in looking to buy a suit for my son's wedding. Salesman did two quick measurements, pulled two jackets off the rack and said "these are black suits. They are all about the same". I could buy off the rack at a department store for less money. He had no interest in showing me any custom or tailored suits. Rented a tux for a photo shoot. Had the model go in and get measured. Picked out the tux and was told it was their "James Bond". When he went to pick it up the pants were so long they had to be hemmed twice, very baggy and an awful fit. When he mentioned it they told him "it was just the fit of the pants". The sleeves on the jacket so ridiculously short, again "just the fit". We ended up having him wear another outfit that he owned and only wear the shoes and suspenders. I called the store the next day and was told that he should have been asked to try on pants and a jacket when he was measured but to come in the next day, he would leave a note for the manager. Shockingly that didn't happen. They did end up refunding everything but charged me for the shoes and suspenders...I thought that was a little ridiculous considering it was their mess up from the beginning and we ended up scrambling to fix it. We have a whole management staff that we fit with suits.. we will be taking our business somewhere else. read more

Men's Wearhouse stocks the same colors for tux vests and ties as David's Bridal bridesmaid dresses. So it was no-brainer for us to go here. I already had decided on "rainbow pastel" for my bridesmaids, and finding matching ties and vests was going to be a challenge. When we sat down with an employee, I noticed that MOST of the colors at David's Bridal are mirrored at Men's Wearhouse - not all of them. Even with a rainbow pastel wedding (Yes, ROYGBV), it was fairly easy to select colors and the shades weren't that far off on the ones that didn't match. The only problem we encountered was patterns. Each color has a different pattern. I was apprehensive about this, because I didn't want my wedding to look like a circus, but nobody noticed the pattern differences anyway. Prices are fair, and they always have some kind of a deal where you purchase X amount of groomsmen tuxes, and the groom gets one free. And there are always coupons in wedding magazines as well. Everyone got the right size and color. Everyone who helped us was very friendly, personable and professional. Definitely recommend. read more

I HATE SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES... anywhere else. I go out of my way to come here and see GLENN LEWIN. All of the staff at this location are friendly, professional, and helpful. But GLENN deserves special mention. A couple years after getting remarried my wife sat me down and we had a talk about my style. I wore clothing that didn't match well, were out of style, and didn't fit me well. She told me that her male friends from work mentioned that they shopped at Mens Wearhouse. Frankly, I didn't like the brand ("I guarantee it!" Made me feel like I was going to get ripped off.) I had never even considered shopping there. Luckily on my first visit I met GLENN. Yes, I know that I can find clothes cheaper elsewhere. But, I don't mind paying for what I get. I have never been disappointed by the quality. If I ever had any issues, they took care of them immediately. The clothes fit well, look good, and are durable. That is value. What else could you want? GLENN always welcomes me with a friendly smile and greeting. No matter what my need, he helps me find the perfect fit. I know that there are other good people working at this store. And when I am in a pinch and GLENN is not there, I am happy to do business with them. But, it's GLENN that made made a loyal customer. TUX RENTAL PEOPLE - Quit your complaining. Think about it. The customer service that we received at this store for our wedding tuxedo rentals was awful. First it took about an hour to choose everything for our wedding and still I had our groomsmen calling me to confirm they were okay not renting shoes, etc. First, my grooms shirt came in two sizes two big, which then made the jacket too small. Thank god we tried it on in the store or he would have looked awful on our wedding day. Second, one of the groomsmen's ties didn't have a clip on it so the guys had to fasten it with a safety pin. My dad's pants came in 3 inches too short. Then my groom's button popped off while we were taking photos which limited what photos we could take because of the threads hanging out. I don't think anything went right with our order. Also, we didn't get get the tux until after 3 PM on Thursday when we had a boat load of errands still to run and things to finish. Renting our tuxes from here is one of the only things we regret from our wedding. They just added extra stress we did not need on our wedding weekend. And when my groom returned the suits, he told them about all the difficulty we had and all they said was "oh, sorry". And we had 11 suit rentals and somehow we still didn't get the $500 gift card. What? We will never be returning to the Men's Wearhouse. We did not like the way our guys looked. And their guarantee is a load of BS. read more

Let me begin by saying im not a big suit guy. I only break them out for special occasions such as weddings or company parties. Before trying the Men's Wearhouse a few years ago I would just go to department stores to buy my nicer clothing. While sometimes cheaper, it was always tedious and the service was lacking when I needed help or advice. When I got married a year ago I decided to rent my tux from this location and was instantly impressed by their service. Not only did I get my rental set up with no problems, but I also received a free suit with my rental! I went in the day before my wedding, picked it out, had it sized and picked it up the day of my wedding to use on my honeymoon. Where else can you get less than a 24 hour turn around time on a full suit alteration? I have seen a few reviews on different sites complaining about the service and I am baffled. I have been to this store multiple times and have always been treated exceptionally well. While I will agree that sometimes the sales men/women try to offer you different items, I just simply say no and im not pressured to continue on. However, lets not forget that this happens at most any store these days, so if you're not used to it by now you're better off buying on-line. They also do a great job of matching suits, shirts and ties. The store isn't Target cheap, but it is a better deal than most other suit stores in the area. While I can't speak for all Men's Wearhouse locations, I can say that this location will be getting my service for years to come. Speaking of which, I have another last second alteration to pick up tomorrow...for free since I purchased the suit there! read more

Horrible customer service We went there today to rent my son's tux for prom and we waited about 10 mins before a gentleman asked us if we were being helped, we replied no and then without introducing himself he begun taking my sons measurements, he sat down in a chair and started writing on a piece of paper for a while without saying a word; then he started singing when we would ask a question or he would talk to us he would be looking at the paper the whole time, all of the sudden he got up and went somewhere without saying anything, it would of be nice if he said something like, I'll be right back Im getting a pair of pants and a shirt for your son to try, but he said NOTHING!!! I started to get really frustrated at that point but didn't said anything, he came back with pants and a shirt and walked right pass us and then he stood right in front of one of the fitting rooms just to gave us a dirty look and called my son with his hand... like we were supposed to guess what was next to do. So Rude, I was about to loose it, when my son came out with his shirt, it was visibly too big and my son tells this guy and he said (again looking at the shirt not at my son, that it was alright) I asked him, do you have a smaller shirt? He walked away again without saying anything or answering my question like a polite person would do, I couldn't hold it any longer and while he was walking away I said, thank you for leaving me here talking to my self, he didn't acknowledge my complaint and kept going, when he returned he handed the shirt to my son and pointing to one of the ladies said this girl is going to finish you up.... which I replied PERFECT. I asked the lady who was the manager and she said that he was the manager... I said, how sad because he sucks, he is so rude, she apologized on his behalf.... If he was having a bad day, I don't care, we didn't deserved to be treated so poorly, after all we are bringing business to his store. Next time stay at home if you are having a bad day, people do not have to pay for your problems. read more

Had a wedding to go to in a few weeks, never really had any experience buying a suit (thought it would be smart to own at least one suit), so I thought of this place due to those commercials with that one guy claiming "You're gonna like the way you look, I guarantee it!" I decided on a particular suit on their website before going in, to make it an easy & quick purchase. I was about to realize that going into this place was gonna be like going into a car dealership. I didn't make it half-way in the store when a salesman approached me with a barrage of questions. I told him my situation (make the mistake of saying that I wasn't familiar with buying suits), found the suit I was eying online (while he was pursuing me to buy a different, more expensive one), and no sooner I was being pushed into the fitting room with a short lady measuring my inseams among other things. In no time, I follow the salesman into the tie area, where he picks out several ties & shirts and makes different combinations with them, trying to get me to buy them when I didn't like any of them. I kept trying to tell this guy that I just want 1 suit, 1 shirt, 1 tie, and that's it. Even after I told him that, he kept following me throughout the store, trying to get me to buy socks, & shoes when I already told him that I already had dress socks & shoes at home. As much as I admired his persistence, I just wanted to shop on my own. When I get to the register, that same salesman brings my attention to their light spring jackets, saying how classy one of the jackets were. He then took that jacket and casually put it on top of the clothes that I was planning to buy. I didn't even tell him I wanted it but, he seemed shocked when I told him. Bottom line, if you want the male-diva, Mariah Carey like treatment where the employees follow your every move like a poodle, go here but, if you're like me and want to shop at your own pace and, if you want help without feeling pushed to buy stuff you're not sure if you need, avoid coming here. read more

Had a terrible experience here when picking out the tux's for our wedding. The consultant wasn't the easiest to work with. They basically told me that I had to pick a complementary color for the groomsmen because they didn't offer a royal blue. Then we go through everything and another girls says we do have a royal blue bow tie you just have to buy it, but we don't have a blue vest. So we said fine. The whole experience took almost 2 hours and neither my fiancé or I were happy with the choice. We ended up canceling our contract and going with gq formal wear in Schaumburg. Much better experience. We are excited about our choices and it took 20 mins to make decisions. We were both really disappointed in our experience at men's wearhouse especially since this is such a large and well known place. :( read more

Worst shopping experience of my life. I ordered 6 suits for my wedding 6 months in advance. After being told 2 months before the wedding that the sales person ordered all of the suits in the wrong color, I received another call 3 weeks before stating that the suit I ordered was not available anymore. I went in to resolve the issue and - while being hit with rogue rubber basketballs from a sales team in-store basketball game - was told that they could not give me any suits in the color of my original suit. I further found out that the sizes of the suits - which were written on post-it notes - had all been misordered and I had to have everyone re-measured. The names and sizes continued to be messed up numerous times up until THE DAY BEFORE the rehearsal. The best was the their solution to the problem, though. Instead of pulling out an order form to properly document suit sizes and groomsmen names, they ordered in 5x the number of suits I needed to make sure that they could fit anyone in anything (additional suits needed to be ordered anyway). The $100 off of each suit that they offered was hardly appropriate compensation for the months of stress. read more

Spent $178 on tux rental for wedding. Pants came in and were basically floods. They re-measured and had the next pair sent to Hobart IN on the wedding day. No difference. Looked ridiculous. This store is amazing! My husband and his groomsmen rented their tuxes from this store and he has also come in to buy a couple of suits. Recently, we went into the store looking for a suit for a work holiday party at the last minute. Which I know is our fault, but when we came in and said we were looking for a suit and we needed it in 4 days, they said it was no problem! We have gone to other stores looking for suits and the staff isn't nearly as friendly or helpful as the staff at Men's Wearhouse. He bought a great suit and picked it up in time for the party. I brought my nephew to Men's Wearhouse to get a suit for prom. The staff were amazing. We were a little concern about his sizing because he is a larger size and he has disabilities. Omg, they were amazing. They made sure that he was comfortable and felt confident in his choices. They helped him create his vision of how he wanted to look on prom. This was amazing because we never thought that we would be celebrating such an amazing accomplishment. Everything fit perfectly and according to my nephew, "I had the time of my life." I've shopped at this location many times over the years and used to always have a really good experience. Unfortunately, the last two times I have come here, things did not go well at all. The previous time I was here the woman helping me find a suit told me that she needed to leave for lunch in about 10 minutes. Since I was already in the process of trying things on, she suggested I either decide right away or wait until she came back from lunch. Today, when I walked in, they were extremely busy. However, I was promptly greeted and pointed in the direction of where my size of suit would be. They also said someone would be with me and just a couple minutes. I was totally fine with this and actually enjoyed having a few minutes to look at things on my own. While looking, another associate tells me I need to move because he has customers that want to look at these items. When I pointed out that I also wanted to look at them and, quite simply was there first, he just sort of walked past me and brought his customers in. I told the manager that this happened but he didn't seem too interested. read more

Terrible customer service. I bought two suit's out of this location total cost was around $1200. I came back five months later because one of the suit pants was starting to come apart. They told me there was nothing they could do, because they cant patch it due to the fabric. I asked if they could replace it since I just bought it and it was already starting to fall apart, and they told me no. I asked the guy so I am pretty much SOL then? And his response was yes. Ridiculous you can spend so much money at a place of business and recieve no help when there is an issue with their product. I will take all my future business elsewhere, and suggest you do the same. read more

My boyfriend and I went there to check out their tuxedos for prom. We has to wait like 25 minutes for us to get help, which we didn't have much of a problem because it gave us time to think about what he wanted. Everyone was so friendly there. There was a big group of people getting their measurements and the guy told him he wouldn't be able to pay it all at once and the person who was helping him out said "he said he cant afford to pay it all because he is poor" and 3 of the people who worked there laughed, and that really made me angry. A couple mins later there was a girl who was talking about something else and all i heard was "oh are you talking about that little mexican" and that made me more angry. Really bad. read more

I bought my first suit here a year and a half ago. At the time I knew nothing about purchasing a suit, so I trusted the people that worked there and the tailor to know how a suit should fit. The people here were great, but after getting a couple suits tailored by a real tailor since then, I realize that the tailoring job on the suit I purchased here was awful. Knowing what I know now, I realized that the stitching was quickly and cheaply done and my sleeves were too short (not due to me growing, I was 25 when I bought it). I brought this suit to my new tailor, which I found thanks to yelp, to get it fixed only to find out that the tailor did not leave enough material to lengthen the sleeves. My current tailor also informed me that ONE of my pant legs was too long. The tailor obviously made a mistake and cut the sleeves too short and hoped I wouldn't notice, which I didn't at the time. Now I have a $600 suit with sleeves that will never fit me. The store is fine, but find a real tailor. read more

One example was an associate drove to another store location to pick up a jacket for me and brought it to this location. When you visit my main contact is DJ. Very knowledgable, helpful, and patient.
