The Court House has several parking lots and a parking garage each with handicapped parking. Every area of the building I came into contact with was handicap accessible. I'm here today for my mother's probate hearing. I flew through security with no issues. As soon as you enter the lobby there's an information desk with a very helpful lady attending who guided me in the right direction. The building is bright and well lite with extremely wide halls. The court room numbers and names are well marked in large lettering. The hall in front of the court rooms have large, fairly comfortable benches resembling church pews. Each court room has an electronic display of name, attorney and court room number so you can confirm location and your on the docket. Restrooms are conveniently located directly across the hall from the court rooms. Court started promptly and the entire process went quickly and efficiently. I only saw a portion of the first floor in this ginormous building which is lovely, and appears, a very functional and well laid out justice center.

They have all kinds of things going on there including Court, marriages, vehicle title and registration. I was there to transfer title and register my vehicle. There were people in line inside the front of the building only to find out the real line was wrapping around the building outside. That started a big argument over which group was actually there first. There should have been someone to manage this. After waiting in the line for about 2 hours I finally got inside and was able to sit down. I thought I was going to pass out. When my number finally was called, the nicest man, James, helped me. He had a sign at his window saying he was a new employee in training. He made my experience seamless and even allowed me to make a call and have a document emailed over. He made my experience great because I got what I need accomplished. I really appreciate him for his kindness, patience, and assistance.

I was pulled over for making a fast lane change in front of the Oyster Creek park. I answered the officer's questions; was I in a hurry? No officer, daughter of a Marine, I am at least 30 minutes early to a client meeting. The officer chuckled and let me go. That one small act has made me a bit more aware of my driving habits and I have slowed down, a bit.

When I opened the door, the officer immediately blinded me with a high-intensity flashlight and was openly rude, fearful, and hostile from the start. When we both realized there was no emergency, I immediately became confused as to why the police officer was there and became fearful that this random man might be a criminal impersonating a police officer, especially because (I later learned his name) Officer Ruiz refused to give a clear explanation for why he was there. He brushed my fear off as complaints, shrugged, and walked away, doing absolutely nothing to assure me he was a real officer. I later learned it was a dispatch error, but the Sergeant (John Jergensen) who reviewed my complaint completely dismissed the situation. The Sugar Land police did nothing assure me that I was safe, and they made a mistake. I'm disappointed my tax money is going towards this type of department who leaves citizen feeling shaken and scared in their own home. The only reason for the 2 instead of 1 star is I did get a formal apology over the phone from a kinder Sergeant but Officer Ruiz and his Sergent Jergensen were very dismissive.

I came here one day when I had a hit-and-run incident at Kroger's parking lot just 3 miles away. I called 911 and dispatch kept delaying my request for sending an officer. She offered me to speak someone in person at this substation. That was 3 hours after my initial report. I was hungry and heated. I drove here in complete darkness. There was no lit sign, well, it was very dim. I searched and searched, finally found it. I got out and walked in. The station officer asked me to fill up a form for what happened. I spent about 30 minutes writing a novel-length of my experience. He then told me it would have been my fault because I didn't look as I backed out of parking spot. Ok, it was a big truck and why didn't he stop? Most importantly, why did he flee when I asked to exchange our insurance info? Bottom line was "oh well" you can expect everyone to obey the law. He may not have insurance or he may not have a driver's license. I was just out of luck. By the way, I got a quote for $500 to fix my damaged bumper. I fixed it with heat gun for free. I just to bear with the ugliness to remind me of this interaction on Memorial Day of 2022.

So everyone drive safe and try to have all the paper work for the police if you get pulled over . Stay out the way is my best bet
