Best kept secret in Katy when you don't fell like waiting in long lines , this is a back door full blown operating agency that is the real United States Postal Service. It's a tiny little location on a back street. That is amazing and does full service you can get in and out quickly. First off, there is plenty of parking at this post office which is great. I don't think a lot of people know about this office because I didn't until I found it on the maps as the closest office to me. The employees are super friendly and you can tell that they actually like their job. They aren't like the other post offices that act like you're a menace to their day. 10/10 recommend this post office location. Since I found this post office with the highest yelp reviews, I refuse to go anywhere else and will always make the extra 20 minute drive to come here. This is a historic post office in 1978 the Postal Service considered closing it but residents rallied and saved it. Designated first class in 1981, the post office moved to this location in 1981. I find the workers are very friendly and very helpful. Every time I go there it has been a good experience. They are fast, friendly and efficient - very much worth the extra time to find them.. even at Christmas I have found it quick. I can't ask for much more from a post office! read more

I've gone to several post offices and no matter how friendly I am, I always get attitude back. I'm not sure why but it's anywhere I go. I mean at this point I wish robots did that job to avoid that situation. I digress.. I happen to find this little post office because I was in the area. The employees are usually friendly and helpful for the most part. It's very "antique" looking. I lost my first package about month ago. Good things don't last. Bobby was the one who assisted me with the passport application. Friday 11/04/2022 at 9am. I was trying to ask for a tracking number of my passport package that will be mailing to the Department of State for processing but she denied to give it to me and kept telling me I need to go on the Department of State website to track the status. What I'm asking for is the USPS tracking number to make sure the package made it there to the destination. If the package never made it to the Department of State then how can I track the status of the case? This package contents my original Naturalization Certificate so I want to keep it safe because it will cost over $500 to get a replacement. I even asked if I can pay extra to have it delivered as certified mail but Bobby and Kevin (the manager) said "No. We keep track of it in house, we don't do certified mail with this". I told them my husband did this process last year and the USPS officer provided him with a tracking on the USPS receipt. Kevin asked "Did he get it done here?", I said "No. At another USPS office" then he said "We don't issue tracking number here and if it get lost it will be the Department of State's responsibility". I was very disappointed with Bobby's and Kevin's attitude and response. I think something is wrong here and I want to have it in writing as a report to USPS. read more

I tried calling this post office during their business hours on three separate occasions about three weeks between the first and third call trying to make an appointment to apply for a passport as they were listed as a passport processing facility on USPS's website. However, all three times the phone would just ring for about 10 times and hang up. Yesterday i went into the post office to buy stamps. I bought several different types. When the clerk asked me if I had all of the stamps that I wanted . . . I said yes. She then asked . . . in a sort of stern voice "what . . . aren't you buying any Black History Month stamps? What's wrong with them?" She is black. I am white. Needless to say . . . because I left my phone in the car and could not start recording this dialogue (to disprove anything she might say about it), I acquiesced and bought a sheet of Black History Month stamps. I would normally just let this go . . . and wouldn't post a review about it . . . but with so much being made lately about the manner in which people purportedly treat people of color . . . I wanted to let people know that it goes both ways. If the positions were reversed and I asked a black woman why she wasn't buying White History Month stamps . . . she probably would have left and I would have been reported to my superior and ended up in the news "White postal employee refuses stamps to black customer". Isn't it a shame that we can't just all be . . and we have to worry about all of this? I acquiesced to the pressure and bought the stamps . . . better than ending up in the newspaper . . . because the truth is very seldom portrayed these days . . . unless you have a video to support your version of events. BEST post office around! It's a small little post office right off I-10. First time I went, I was greeted with no wait and a huge smile. The clerk helped me fit my items into the smallest box possible so I could save some money - all with an awesome attitude and great conversation. A few days later, I had to ship something out again. I usually just go to mom and pop postal places, but decided to make the trip to this USPS again b/c of the great service I received last time. They did not disappoint. Once again - great service with a great attitude. Later in the day, I realized that I lost my driver's license. I tried calling, but it's impossible to get to an individual post office. However, when I showed up, they had my license and told me that they had tried to chase me down, but I had already left. This is my go-to USPS. They are awesome! read more
