He informed me that unfortunately he didn't have time to do an alternator swap that day as he had a full day of cars to finish up. He happily agreed to hook my battery up to the charger so I could get to the next shop. We were able to make our bike rail skunk train ride while the battery was charging at the shop. When we got back, he informed us that he went ahead and looked around and found our alternator wire had fallen off and that we were good to go. he also tightened up our alternator belt as he found it to be loose. I brought my car in for another service of a different type the same day I noticed, to another shop in Ukiah. I asked if they could look at it and pop it back into place for me. I was worried I'd loose my body kit, and that the light wasn't in correctly. We had this car serviced regularly in Marin for years, and never were the bills even close to as expensive. Additionally, the owner, Trevor attempted to "scare" my wife into believing that she needed to have several additional repairs that they had found. What a Joke! When I called the very successful shop we used to take our cars to in Marin, and told the owner not only the cost of the service, but the other things that were described as "dangerous" by Trevor, he just laughed and told me we got robbed. He also and said that shops like this give his industry a bad name. Needless to say, we have not returned, and have also shared our experience with several others who have asked about auto repairs/service.
