My husband called the owner and talked to him and explained the situation and he called around to try and find her tires but in the end had to order her two new ones and they would not come in untill Saturday his day off and the business is closed but he came in and put those new tires on my daughters car and she was able to drive home safely! He went beyond what he needed to do and said we need to take care of each other and I just wanted to cry ! I got a flat tire from fallen tree branches on 128 on my way into Mendocino yesterday. Sidewall of the tire was completely wrecked and I drove into town last night on a donut panicking. Was so stressed and thought this short trip would be ruined. I figured the rest of the road trip was toast and I'd have to call around all day today trying to find help with my tire, just so I could get back home safely tomorrow. Well these guys fit me in right away this morning, despite overhearing that they were even short staffed today too. For someone who was in dire need of a small victory, this really felt like a miracle! They luckily had the right size tire in stock which completely saved us and our road trip. I went to this shop during my travel with a busted tire. They did not have the specific tire size for my car in either new or used cars. However, they still checked out if my old tire could be fixed, ensured all other tires were in good shape including fixing the tire pressure and tightening of my lug nuts for the donut tire. This enabled me to drive back to my home and get my car fixed. In the end, they didn't charge me a dime because according to them, they couldn't really fix my problem fully despite a person spending 20-30 mins fixing things for me. On the first full day of our vacation in Mendocino, we discovered that the "low tire pressure" warning involved a rather large gash on the inside wall of the left rear tire. On the recommendation of locals, we stopped at North Coast Tire Pros. It turned out that the only option was to order a new tire. We were told that coastal towns don't usually carry this particular size and that deliveries by third parties don't always arrive as scheduled. We steeled ourselves to spend another 2-3 days in paradise. David (Ferretti) took a picture of the damage, processed the order, and we waited.
