The fishing is amazing even for an amateur like me. Scott, Park Manager, is a pleasure to deal with. Super friendly and supportive. We stayed down near the water in spot 29. The only minor frustration is the flies. But that was probably our own problem. They loved the outside of our RV. but were almost unnoticeable when out and about. We highly recommend this park. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, there's a wonderful sandy beach that's very clean. There's some decent hiking trails and apparently some good fishing, we saw a lot of people fishing near the dam. We loved how empty it was on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Only a few tents and campers around, it felt very private and secluded. We had the entire beach to ourselves. Unlike Lake Lawtonka, this park allows dogs or at least we didn't see any signs indicating otherwise! Our dogs thoroughly loved it! It's pretty secluded so pack your lunch and bring plenty of water to drink. There was a small general store near the boat ramp that sells burgers but not sure they're open all year.

He explained they had just gotten the boat we were interested in off of the truck and it was getting rigged up. In the mean time we climbed into the one that was sold as it was the same boat and he explained and showed us all about it. I stepped out to make a call and when I returned there was another gentleman there. He introduced himself as Phil Easton. He got us in to discuss the boat we were interested in. What a jewel he is. He has been doing this for 58 years and he loves it. You can tell that by the joy on his face. What an absolute pleasure to have a business person who clearly loves what he does. It had a bedroom and a loft with another bed upstairs (both beds were full size). The kitchen has a microwave and stove, but no oven. It also has a refrigerator. There is a small TV with Direct TV if there's a game or something you just can't miss. There is also decent cell service (we have AT&T) and WiFi access. The bathroom had just a shower, which isn't a big deal for many people, but something to keep in mind if you have kids that only take baths. You have to bring your own linens. This is located on base at Fort Sill, but I believe people without a military ID can access the area with a visitors pass. In addition to cabins are tent sites and RV sites. You don't have to be camping to use the beach and other amenities like the playgrounds after paying an entrance fee. The beach has a lifeguard on duty and a facility with restrooms/showers. There is a little room for improvement when it comes to maintenance. There was peeling paint on our cabin, spiderwebs in many places outside, and a piece missing on our bench on the porch. There were seagull feathers and (dog?) poop all over the beach. Two of the three playgrounds were covered with overgrown grass (but to be fair one had a sign saying it was undergoing maintenance). Overall, I thought it was a great value at $90 per night. It's nothing fancy, but our cabin was perfect for "glamping" and the area is beautiful with picturesque views of Mount Scott. It was a nice, relaxing escape and I look forward to visiting again!

It was about $33 a day for the kayak pass, which gives you access to the whitewater course. You need to bring your own kayak for this pass, and I'm not sure if they do rentals. It was very fun with an easier and a more difficult course, and there's a conveyor belt that takes you up to the top. While this was fun, I don't think some of the staff were doing their jobs well. There was someone releasing tubers right in front of our boats coming down. They clearly weren't looking out for kayakers beforehand, and this was such a safety issue. Some of the staff at the counter also did not seem to know how to check people in. Before our visit, we called multiple times during their business hours, but they never answered.
