Fort Dent Park is a sizable area right on the Green River and is a place to stop if you're traveling along the Green River Trail. The biggest drawing point to this park is the play fields. During sporting seasons this place is downright packed with people, mostly children getting ready to play their games. This is a great playground. We stopped in while traveling in the Seattle area. It has a toddler play set, and an older child play set. It was well kept, clean and mulch was new. The playground sits in the middle of the soccer complex where the Seattle Sounders MLS practice. The complex is very well groomed, the maintenance/grounds keepers were out when we were playing. There is also a coffee shop and cafe in the complex. I highly recommend this playground. It was also quiet, and the people that were there were following all proper CDC guidelines of wearing masks/social distancing. read more

So glad that Fort Dent Park is a short ten minute drive from my house! It was a super nice day and we wanted to get our son outside, so we decided to find a park. We needed one that had baby swings, and based off of the Yelp photos, Fort Dent fit the bill! Based off the other reviews, it seems parking can be an issue. Luckily, we didn't have to pay any sort of parking fee and had no problem finding a spot right in front of the park despite there being a lot of soccer practice/games going on as this is attached to Starfire. The playground isn't huge but it's perfect for younger kids. They've got two separate jungle gyms as well as a little fitness bar area and swings. There's plenty of shaded grass space as well should you want to do a picnic. Another bonus - bathrooms on-site! I used them, and they aren't anything out of HGTV but they're clean and have toilet paper, warm water, and soap to wash your hands with, so... We'll definitely be back! read more

If I lived closer, I would be here more often. A nice park if you are in the area. Playground is amazing and clean with two areas one for big kids and another for little ones. There are 4 swings as well. Last Monday Memorial Day, there weren't many people enjoying the park so it's quite peaceful and enjoyable. I could imagine it getting a lot more use in prime times. This is just such a find and is worth the drive. My kids enjoyed it, we will definitely be back. This 54-acre, former King County Park is a beautiful addition to the City of Tukwila's park system. It was acquired in January of 2003  in partnership with Starfire Sports. The largest park in Tukwila. Considered the "go-to" park for many locals and families. Fort Dent offers many amenities, including two kiddo-approved play areas, soccer fields, picnic area, restrooms, hiking trails and open areas. The Fort Dent Bridge in another fun spot for families and a great place for photos. The park also hosts several sporting events throughout the year, including soccer, rugby, and ultimate frisbee matches. read more

Paying to park just to get into Fort Dent/ Starfire is not ideal for a 1 hour trip. $7 to park. Decided not to go.

This park is one of my kid's favorite. The location is away from the street so it's kinda quiet, and they have lots of fun stuff for kids to play with. I love that they have 2 separate play areas depend on kids age. Smaller one is perfect for young toddlers. And, bonus point is that they have the duck pond behind and you can bring bread or something to feed the ducks. Ducks will come close to you to get food! You can also see airplanes and helicopters flying by, trains will goes by right in front of you, and sometimes you get to see people practicing soccer(the play ground area is surrounded by soccer fields)....so yes very entertaining place. Hidden gem! At least it was to me! It's just a small park but has enough variety for kids of different ages to enjoy and climb. I also love that it has a small lake with ducks on it. It's a pretty laid back place with clean rest rooms too. read more

When I'm in the area and need to pass some time with the kids, this is where I go. I found this spot on accident one day with my daughter and it was awesome. You go over a little bridge and there is giant huge fields that look like soccer is mostly played there, they have an indoor recreational area as well. Once you drive down farther you notice a well kept playground and a tennis area behind and parking is everywhere. The playground is really nice and has two big areas to play on with a bunch of different slides with swings as well and some teeter totter toys. There is also a huge pond with lots of different ducks to feed. There is even more fields it looks like up from the playground passed the clean public restrooms. My kids love coming here to play, its big, clean and open and there is never really a lot of people there so the kids have plenty of options to choose to play on. The occasional eagle flying around is a nice treat and when the train comes by, my son loves when that happens. This is a really nice place to take the family to hang out and have some fun. read more

This is such a great park!! It's all the way at the end of the road, you will see lots of soccer fields on your way. Two good size play structures. A smaller one for younger tots. And a tall climbing on for older daredevils, with a rock climbing wall and spider like web rope structure. Baby and normal swings. Lots of grassy areas to play or have a picnic on. There are some trees so a fair amount of shade depending on the time of day you come. Also picnic tables. Restroom and lots of parking. Has little pond were you can sit and watch ducks. Also for kids who love trains this is a great park to watch the trains go by! My toddler was beyond excited every time one went by! This park really is a great place to spend a sunny day!!! read more

Its a nice decent park. There is a Small area for little kids and another for bigger ones. It's located inside Starfire Sports where all the soccer fields are so there were a lot of soccer kids playing at the playground when we went Sunday around 1:30pm. There are slides, monkey bars, seesaw and a spider web rope to climb on. They charge $5 for parking when there is an event going on but we told the guy taking money that we were just going to the park and he let us through without paying. I assume an event js when they have soccer games on the weekend. The restroom beside it is not maintained and overflowing with tissues and other stuff but you can go into the main building's restroom. There is a cafe, small arcade and couple indoor soccer fields in the main building. read more

Wish we found this park sooner! This is the one park we go to when we are in the Tukwila area. See the ducks in the big pond, see the trains pass by (train fans... This is your place! Basically every toddlers dream!), and the playground... Superb! You have the toddler-preschool size playground, and then the other one for the big kids! Perfect for the climbing child. Really, if you haven't been here, you really need to go! Lots of grassy area, but shade can be lacking. Thankfully, Washington's sun isn't too penetrating when it's out. Definitely bring a lunch/snack and enjoy family time here! read more

Stopped by here on our way back home after flying into Seatac. Pleasantly well-maintained with something for school age kids and the toddler crew. Bonus points for the duck pond next to the play area. read more

We enjoy coming here to feed the ducks and play on the play ground. This time around, we noticed a foul smell and the duck pond looking absolutely cloudy and polluted. Poor ducks. We fed them, which they easily came up to us with no fear. The play ground is well maintained, a few options to choose from. There's a spider web, big kid plus a toddler stage play area. We definitely will come back. FYI, we did turn around one time because upon entering the driveway there was a sign that a fee would be charged upon entrance, I'm not sure if there was some sort of activity going on or not but for ppl like us who wants to enjoy the play area and feed the ducks, were not paying an admission fee. read more

Great park. My only negative is since its within Starfire - there's a lot of people and barely any parking.

Went yesterday for the district soccer tourney, the fields are wonderful but the customer service and employees knowledge of the site sucked! it was cash only parking, When I asked the parking attendant if there was any place on site to get cash i was pointed in the direction of the main building saying there is an atm inside. Unfortunately after parking going inside I see that the atm was out of order. I Inquired with the information desk employees if I could get cash anywhere else, they pointed me in the direction of the team store...once inside and looking at items to buy so I could get cash back. I was notified by the cashier in the team store that they do not do cash back on any purchase...so I went back to the information desk employees who then pointed me to the pizza parlor upstairs to get cash back...they weren't even open...the coffee shop was the only place left to go and the line was out the door and by this time didn't have the time or energy to wait in line for them to tell me, as well, that they don't do cash back either......this is not acceptable for such a huge facility! I arrived 25 minutes early to my nieces game and ended up being late to the first part. If the employees working there were better informed in the first place I could have turned around went to a store off site and been back with cash in time to pay for parking, park and watch the start of my nieces game. But instead I was given the run around by all working employees who we're not informed property by there employer of the current situation with the atm, the hours of operation and policy's of each place on site. This didnt make for a delightful experience at your facility. read more
