The trail (non-paved) to the beach is moderately steep. Loose gravel in some points so be careful. It's pretty narrow too. The paved walkway backup is also steep and will get the cardio going. Along the trail are many picnic tables to sit, eat a snack, take some pics, and catch your breath. Only downside is parking is limited. Go early if you can. Overall highly recommend.

You will be able to see the signage which reflects what's available: -Elda's paradise garden -Seiki Japanese garden -Rose garden -Daylily garden -Fuchia garden -Iris garden -Community garden The Japanese garden is magical. It is clean and very well maintained. There are some benches available to sit, relax and enjoy. Fairly large wooded area with a few little trails. This park is not that great and you shouldn't take the time to travel here, but it's a-okay if you're already in the area. There have been a few times I've felt unsafe in the wooded areas, so definitely pay attention to your surroundings! This park also has tennis courts and a basketball court which are fairly well maintained and there are bathrooms available for use (during the warmer months).

I will say that the parking lot is rather small and it can be very challenging to find any parking during the summer. When I arrived on this particular day, there was literally a line out to the road with vehicles trying to find parking. It can get pretty cut throat, too. The park itself is generously sized, in the splash pad has a lot of unique features that my kids really enjoyed. My favorite part is that they had features for small children as well as larger children. Usually when I go to other splash pads it smells funky or like chlorine. But this location smelled fresh and seemed to have been upkept recently. Western Washington is a notorious area for high amounts of trafficking, so I always have to keep an eye out wherever we go. But thankfully, this area seemed pretty safe so we will definitely be back next summer for more playtime.

At dusk and dawn you can find a TON of bunnies and perhaps even a coyote. Most areas have good lighting, but I wouldn't recommend using this trail as it gets dark.

The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.
