Should have taken more consideration in reviews where dr rushes/dismisses patients and has you sign for procedures while in the chair w/out consultation(even if you're just coming for a cleaning). Our family of four has been to Fort Lee Dental for years. We first visited old office as one of few places open during Sandy when we had emergency. But, since we had to drive more than 30minutes, so we tried out other dentists, but some were scammers with unnecessary X rays and wrong diagnostics. Thus, we returned to reliable Dr. Bae whereas distinguishes necessary treatments. We have relied on root canals to cracked tooth, old filling & crown missing and giving away... as well as regular check ups and scaling. Update on that root canal. Typically, root canals are expected to last longer than 1.5 years. So, I went to Jersey City Dental Spa for a cleaning and check up (also keep track of my treatment - I had some doubts about the treatment that Dr. Bae provided) So, the X-rays showed that the cap on the root canal was not affixed properly and there was a hole between the cap and the tooth. The hole had been slowly leaking bacteria into the root and I will have to get a follow-up root canal treatment. Now most dental insurances assume that root canals last at a minimum of 5 years (and won't cover a second treatment within that time) So, my follow-up treatment is going to come out of pocket. Great..... Had there been more yelp reviews of Dr. Bae, I would not have gone here. I made a mistake - and hence taking some time out to inform other yelp users of my experience. We all have to make a living but one where another person's health is involved shouldn't be just about making money. Dr. Bae - if you are reading this - you should do the right thing. I know you probably want to have another Mercedes in the driveway but your business is based on health and welfare of your patients. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE TREATMENT If I could give negative stars I would. Lets go over the basics ... CROOK- They will lie and say they take your insurance so that they can get you through the door then lie about it later. They will also insist that you add more expensive unnecessary treatments. INCOMPETENT The staff does a horrible job of corresponding with patients about bills. Then they will pester you while you're in the chair about payments... This is uncomfortable and unprofessional. HARSH TREAMENT On top of a horrible doctor and horrible staff, the dentist was reckless. I don't know anything about dentistry but is your entire mouth supposed to be bleeding from a scaling?! OTHER REVIEWS- LOOK AT THEM CAREFULLY okay guys... when you look at the other reviews notice something. The good reviews are very general. They're not really saying 'he's a good doctor' as much as they're saying 'he didn't do a bad job.' Know the difference. Second, another review listed below is sharing similar themes about insurance coverage and this money hungry, shady, incompetent, unprofessional, and greedy "doctor" office. You don't want to go in here thinking you're paying $100 then walk out slammed with $500 dollar bill. Don't trust him. read more

The dental health of my entire family have been under the care of Dr. Bae for a decade now and I highly recommend his service for anyone seeking general dental care. His practice has recently moved to a new location a little farther south of Main Street and it's much nicer and roomier than the old one (and with a much better parking lot). I highly recommend Dr. Bae for all oral procedures. I have been going to Dr. Bae for several years with my wife. I've been a to a few other practices before where you never know who you will get - sometimes rotating dentists or a hygienist- and constant follow ups. It is difficult to find a doctor that cares as much as he does and know you will be in good hands. He saved us a few times from some really urgent moments during his off hours. Dr. Bae is very thorough, very steady hands (very important for long procedures) which believe it or not is not always the case for other dentists who may have shaky hands drilling your mouth. The new location is great, easy parking and the new equipment are state of the art which you will find in facilities in hospitals, very clean and staff is very responsive and caring. The dentist presented all my options and offered his input before proceeding with any sort of treatment, and addressed any concerns I had about treatment or cost. Well, I don't mind what other people are talking about Dr. Andrew Bae, but I think he does his job very professionally and friendly. I have been going for a couple of years with Dr. Bae simply because I felt that he cares about patients. Whenever I visit for routine cleaning, he checks up carefully and explains in details with helpful recommendations. Personally, I like this very much. I had a root canal done at this place a few years back. Doctor Bae had assured me that he had performed it completely and that I had nothing to worry about. So imagine my surprise when I find out that he in fact did not complete it, and that the roots had slowly become infected in the last few years. I now have to get my teeth removed and replaced with implants. Avoid this place at all cost. read more
