It looks very small from the street and maybe only have 8-9 rooms I think. It was very easy to check in and the lady was very nice. There is covered parking right in front of your room door. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. It had a spacious living room area with a tv sofa coffee table and large chair, along with a kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, sink, actual dishes, coffee maker, a dining room table that seated 4 people. The king size bed was in this room. There was a small bathroom in the hall. There was a door that led to the other bedroom in the suite that had its own tv, a queen size bed, and then a huge bathroom. The shower was a walk in shower and was about as big as the other bathroom in the hall! The beds were very comfortable (I kinda wish I had that mattress at home) and the rooms were very clean. It felt like we were at a home away from home. Bonus was that they are pet friendly! There was some wear and tear in a few places. There was a little paint peeled off in the queen bedroom at the baseboard and the tile on the kitchen counter was cracked pretty good. It was nothing that was really noticeable if you weren't OCD lol. The checkout process was easy....just leave the keys on the table. My 70-year old mother and I are both 5'4. She recently had knee and hip surgery, so she decided to squat over the toilet. I sat but hurt my knees using the toilet. Thankfully, my husband didn't come. He's 6'4, he would have had a very hard time. They need to install bars next to the toilet. Also the tub floor was slippery - again, mother with recent hip and knee surgery... that was not good!

There's also a buffet breakfast and dinner that are available. Both were better than I would have expected. Biscuits and gravy, sausages, eggs, pancakes...all the good breakfast items. The dinners included taco night, bbq, pasta, and some others I'm struggling to remember. All the food was great and it was really convenient to be able to get those meals without leaving the hotel. Additionally there's a soda fountain machine and popcorn available in the lobby. Overall a pretty solid experience at a well run hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

In many cases, the off-label wine offers an excellent value to the consumer. Pear Tree Inn Sikeston strikes me as that sort of excellent value. The lofty open lobby and glass elevator, all by themselves, strike me as the sort of features I'd see in a more expensive hotel. High marks for parking, reception, room cleanliness, comfort, and Friday-night noise levels. Any complaints I have a minor: the chime of the elevator heard throughout the night as it stopped at each floor (possible because of the multi-level open lobby) and the Styrofoam plates / plastic utensils at breakfast. My one-night stay was very good for the price paid.
