I stopped here because I was looking to pickup a few single beer cans to enjoy back at my hotel. Fort Point Market has a homey feeling, something you don't always expect in the seaport area. It is a convenient, medium sized shop with a large wine and decent beer selection. Of course there are food goods as well, but I wouldn't go here expecting to do a full grocery run (Trader Joe's nearby will fill that need.) Service was perfect for my needs, which allowed me to browse the beer selection on my own and determine what I needed. But others who had questions were attentively helped. Definitely one of the best places in Boston to get local and global craft beer. The selection is extensive and you'll be trying to figure which beer you would like to try and share with friends and family (I know I have many times!). Reasonable prices for the selections offered. This place was the first time I found Equilibrium and Finback and have been tracking them since to see what else they get from them. They have their own website so you can check out what they have as well as any new arrivals to pre-order to pickup there or just check out the selections when you're there in person. read more

Organized by style - from seasonal radlers and shandies to timeless high-gravity concoctions - it's a densely packed den of local and near-local crafts. I found several faves including a fresh batch of Maine Beer's Lunch just out and in the cooler, as opposed to stored in stock and avail in limited supply. Prices are reasonable, with tall boy four-packs averaging out at $11-12. Killer spot, and well worth a stop when in Rome. read more

Stumbled upon a surprising selection of pre packaged vegan foods at the back of the market. One package is less than $6 and is enough for two meals (or one really big indulgent meal). Also surprised to see microwaveable Indian food. Have been back several times and everything has been good. Nice owner and employees. The aisles leading to the back of the stores are loaded with organic whole foods at affordable prices. A really nice find if you work in the neighborhood to get some breakfast food , lunch, and snacks. Fresh fruit; sushi delivered daily; craft beer; red and white whites; with a chilled white wine selection. Too bad the concrete building is suffering and has sidewalk protection to keep pedestrians safe. Trillium is in the same building. Hope it gets some TLC soon. read more

The staff has been nice when we've gone and their prices are generally fair...especially when you factor in the convenience, as residents of the Fort Point area. I helped hem realize they were charging way too much for some of their Dogfish Head beers (which they carry as many of as they can, around 9 different ones that I counted) and not only did they change the prices on the spot, but charged me even less as a one time courtesy for helping them stay competitive with area shops. Seaport Convenience is the latest addition to this (slowly) developing neighborhood, and it's aiming to be your go-to place for trendy wine and beer. The small but diverse selection of wine is positioned at the front of the store; beer is farther back, with a respectable selection of craft brews. (Four-packs of Delirium Tremens? Yes, please!) There's a smattering of groceries, again tilted toward yuppies (think Kettle Chips rather than Lay's). There's also a very small selection of honest-to-god liquors, mostly niche brands rather than bar-stocking basics. As noted, the store opened in early August 2012 and the shelves are still pretty empty (and many items don't seem to have price tags yet). The store suffers a little from trying to do a bit of everything: smaller selection of booze than a dedicated liquor store, fewer groceries than a local market. But the manager is friendly, and hopefully this place settles into its groove. read more

Really good selection of beer and wine in a great location. It's small but they fit a lot in there. Great snacks and refrigerated foods like dips, cheeses, hummus, juices and more. The only problem is that they seem to have a delivery/restocking issue and stuff on the shelves is frequently expired or expiring soon. This has happened to me many times here with hummus and juice, and once when I bought a pack of hot dogs (they were frozen but had expired over a year prior!). It's a convenient place to have in the area, but make sure to check the expiration dates on everything! Great as a liquor store though. read more

We came in here only to buy ice for our cooler and ended up coming back a couple more times throughout the day, each time finding new beers we haven't seen before. Smaller, but excellent beer selection. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Quick story: I found out through Twitter that they managed to get a very difficult to acquire beer. I shot down to Southie from Malden only to find that it sold out within a matter of minutes. The owner asked for my information in case more of the beer came in. Sure enough, I received a call from them the next day to let me know that another small shipment had arrived and that they would hold it for me. Great service and dedication to their customers. I'll keep this simple... For what it is- it's perfect! Moving from Pittsburgh just a few days ago, we have a great appreciation for actually being able to really walk everywhere. Having markets like this for the basics (and wine and beer of course) is a luxury we didn't have so much before. For a small space, it's amazing what they pack in in here. This was the closest place i found to the convention center that had a cold Diet Coke. I don't understand why. Anyway the store is very large and has lots of items. There is even ice cream if you go all the way to the back and then u-turn to the left. But Diet Coke in a an area where none exists elsewhere. read more

They have good beers but they ruin some of them. I got a 4 pack of sip of sunshine for $19 which isn't exactly cheap (always less at American provisions and at social wines). The beer was not in the cooler and was instead just sitting on the ground even though it specifically says "Keep Cold!" On the top of the can. Partially my fault for still buying it, but the beer tasted awful. I've had it before on tap and in cans, and this stuff was in bad shape and not fresh. Beer selection is kind of small. It's on the expensive side as well. You are better off going to the 7-11 down the street or even the Harpoon brewery, which is right down the street. Sushi is stale, but you shouldn't really expect decent sushi from a convenient store. The produce is meh as well. I staff is okay. The few times I've been there, an Asian guy was following me around the store. Kind of creepy. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. Yeah, good variety of booze but it's mad old and expired. Also their food; way past its expiration date. PSA: check the expiration dates whenever buying anything there. The lady cashier is rude as hell and does not care about letting you know you're buying something that expired 3 months ago. This place may have been great a few years ago, but it does not keep up with the Seaport growth and prominence. Check your receipt for price changes before leaving. I purchased groceries for a quick dinner solution here, and found two items that were marked with physical tags but rung up higher than expected. The prices are marked up anyway, (which is fine for the convenience) but the overages push them into the category of ridiculous for the items. I didn't purchase alcohol, but it looks like that is their main business, plus a few last minute munchies. You can pick from several different frozen pizzas and single serve frozen options, buy milk and organic vegetable chips, but not a loaf of bread. Has gluten free snacks, dog biscuits and fancy hand soap, but not chocolate chips. Many items don't have prices on them at all, so it leaves you wondering until you get to the register and can ask (because there isn't a customer facing display.) Good to know what's around, but I won't be returning. read more

The owner is super nice, as is the woman behind the counter. That said, I get charged a different price for beer every time I go there. The sushi is not good -- it's old and crusty. Quick little place to grab alcohol and some snacks. Not a lot of "fresh" items but the items they do carry are still decent (and healthy). They also have a nice selection of wine. I rarely see Chenin Blanc and they carried it. On top of their selection, they folks working the cash register were friendly and knowledgeable. I would come again. read more
