Geee, just moved back to Weatherford after being away for a few years and I walked in asking if they might have a fitting for a lamp. Lady behind the desk with black hair and oversized bug eye glasses had no clue what I was as asking for and just wanted me out of the store. She didn't even try to help and it was obvious that I interrupted whatever she was doing or whatever conversation she was having with other co-workers. We've had nothing but excellent service from Fort Worth Lighting! Anthony has been extremely helpful with all of our light fixtures and fans during our new home build. The response has always been friendly and positive when we've needed a few fans fine tuned or a chipped glass piece replaced. Anthony worked to find a replacement piece that had been discontinued and had it delivered to our door. I would highly recommend this business! My husband and I wee at the Weatherford store a few days ago. We worked with Amanda Mc... Mc.. something. I forgot her last name. She helped us pick out exterior and interior lighting for our house that is being built. She was so personable and professional. She listened carefully to both of our ideas and preferences and on the huge computer screen she went straight to the styles that we would like. Whenever my husband and I disagreed on something she would type like lightening and "boom", there would be something we both liked up on the screen! Good selection with variety of pricing. Customer service is a bit lacking, however. I've been a customer for several years now and have noticed that if you're not with a big project, then you're off to fend for yourself and must be proactive getting help - particularly at the Fort Worth location. The greeting sits behind the counter. Also too, I've noticed that the bigger the project, the more attention you get. In contrast, the West location with its freshly new space has brought a more lively, proactive staff. I'm hopeful things may turn around with the regular staff at the FW location as I've seen the manager bounce between locations. Bottom line: Friendly staff yet not attentive, unless you have the right project to help them with their quotas perhaps? read more

Was building a house in Robson Ranch (2.5 yrs) and the design center stated, they work with Fort Worth Lighting. We purchased all of our rooms lighting and ceiling fans through F.W.L. When they were installed, 2 of the 3 glass globes over our kitchen island had chips in the glass. After our closing, I placed a warranty ticket to have both replaced. The delivery person from Fort Worth lighting came out and had two replacement globes with chips in the glass. I was basically told oh well... What finally made me say I'm done with Fort Worth lighting... year later one of the globes broke and I ordered a replacement, and the replacement had a chip in the glass. It's also my opinion they are overpriced. read more

Our home builder connected us with Fort Worth Lighting to select our lighting needs back in mid 2021. The lighting was installed in our new home December of 2021. We had three light fixtures that required specialized led bulbs and it took multiple phone calls and multiple visits to their store before we finally got the bulbs we needed...5 months later. When theses bulbs did come in, they never even called us. I had to make another repeat call to them to resolve the issue, only to find out the bulbs were finally received and were sitting on a shelf at their warehouse. We also found a cracked globe on one of the fixtures, which was reported to them months ago. We are still waiting on that to be resolved to this day. Their ability to connect with customers, address problems, follow up, and resolve them is off the charts...horrible. I can't say this is the fault of any one employee, but rather the entire dynamic of all of them combined. Systematically, they are a customer service failure! *As a customer, I truly exercised every ounce of patience I had with them, giving them ample opportunity to make things right. This is not the kind of review I enjoy writing, but if this saves even one person from having to deal with such an incompetent business, then my job here is done. read more

We ordered and paid for three lights from Fort Worth lighting. Unfortunately, they don't deliver to your home so I drove up on a Saturday to pick them up. When I drove up I saw the sign on the door that said they are open until 3 PM. However they were not open and nobody was in the shop and nobody answered the phone. Another person drove by and stopped and told me they had been by twice already but nobody was there! I'm sure emergencies happen but they could have put up signs,.... no messages or any response from them is very frustrating given I drove an hour to get here! read more

We had a great experience with Ft Worth Lighting. They did all of our lights in the house that we built and were incredibly helpful in the process. We didn't want to go with builder grade lights so we did upgrade quite a bit. I was impressed with how knowledgeable they were. For my dining room, I really wanted a chandelier from Pottery Barn. They found an almost identical one for me and for less money so I was thrilled. One of the first compliments we get when people come into our home is the lighting. I truly feel that our lighting gives our house so much character. read more

Go elsewhere. Customer service is terrible. We placed a $3000 order with Samantha at the Fort Worth location the first of July and were advised three items were not in stock. Estimated arrival 12 days. I called to check status the 3rd week and the gentleman that answered the phone said "The items are not in from the manufacturer" to which I asked for an estimated time frame. His reply was "We don't know. Do you want us to call the manufacturer?" Hmmm...one would think YOU would be offering to call the manufacturer to obtain an updated estimated arrival. Another week goes by with no communication so I called to cancel the order in full and spoke with Samantha. Samantha stated I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee on ALL of the items purchased, to which I replied that is incorrect, as all but three of the items were in stock. Samantha agreed and said a restocking fee would apply to only the non-stocked items. I asked Samantha for the refund amount, taking into consideration the applicable restocking fee, to which she said, and I quote, "I don't feel like arguing with you. Just give me the card number and I will refund all of it." Perhaps Fort Worth Lighting should invest in communication training for their staff. Or maybe Fort Worth Lighting has more business than they need, as allowing staff to communicate this way to customers will ensure that I never walk through their doors again. read more

My husband and I were at Ft. Worth Lighting for 30-40 minutes yesterday and NO ONE even acknowledged us! We walked right by the service desk where several employees were standing and not a "hello", "can we help you", nothing! We were in the back of the store and it was near closing time as they turned off the music so we walked towards the front of the store. Again, no one said anything to us! They just lost at least a $1,000 sale as we saw some chandeliers like we liked. We went to Lighting Etc and Lee Lighting afterwards and they had very positive experiences. I just don't get it especially during COVID that all of their employees here ignored us! Would not recommend them to anyone. read more

DO NOT deal with PENNY. She is flat out rude...this is after I have spent I don't know how many thousands of dollars here for a 5,000 sq ft new build. Bought hardware for every cabinet, all door knobs, and lighting for the whole house only to get treated like trash when you have a problem. She starts the call today with "oh, you're the one"...and "oh no he's not coming back out" (when they broke my light during a repair!!) and "well because you put in the wrong bulbs"...which their repairman confirmed I actually did not. She's confrontational and doesn't have a customer service bone in her body. I have bi-passed her before and talked to the owner Lee. He tries to make it right but can also be very rude (with comments like "have you calmed down?") ("Sounds like you were having a bad day...). Never again, what a shame...my neighbor needs a new entry chandelier. I would never refer someone here! UPDATE: So 6 months later still missing one glass globe on my over $400 bathroom light that their repair man broke during a repair. The manager, LaRon, actually said, "Sorry, I don't know what to do here because that light has been discontinued. The repairman said u would try and find a replacement globe online". I was taken to Ft Worth Lighting by my builder. Just relocated from Austin and built a new home in Burleson. My local family loves to support local businesses so they were happy I was directed there for cabinet hardware. I had a small job. They messed it up at every juncture. Months later it is still unfinished and I CANNOT get anyone's attention there. I would have been better off getting my cabinet hardware at Home Depot or Lowes. Worst of all, I have already paid and have been ignored. Horrible service!!! read more

The owner is rude, obnoxious, and completely unwilling to help someone who has spent thousands of dollars outfitting their entire house with lighting and fixtures from this place. I called to get help for an issue, which took numerous calls as I could not get a call back. Once I finally had what I thought was the manager on the phone, but later turned out to be the owner as he told me "I'm the owner brother", he blamed me and told me he wasn't liable. I hardly ever take the time to review a business but my experience with Fort Worth Lighting was really bad. We built a house and my builder used them to do the lighting. So we went there to pick all of our lighting fixtures out for our home. It was probably one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had when purchasing something because of the "sales" type atmosphere they give off. The sales lady I worked with seemed like she was just saying whatever she had to to get me to use them and to pick the most expensive stuff. We told her our budget up front and that we really didnt want to go over yet we still went over by almost 2000 dollars. Then while calculating all of the choices, she left the room for almost 20 minutes to talk to her manager and came back and had reduced the total price 1000 bucks! We were like, why are you able to discount it so much? Anyways the sales part wasnt even bad compared to the service we received after the home was complete. You would think that After going over our budget that much that we received quality stuff. Nope, we had plenty of issues. The first being our master bedroom fan. it wabbled like crazy, which is very fixable, and also made a loud noise that would keep you awake in an otherwise quiet room. They supposedly replaced the fan before we moved in and we just trusted it got done but after we moved in our first night, turned the fan on and it sounded exactly the same. When we had them come out to fix it, the tech brought nothing but a screwdriver and said he couldnt fix it and also went on to tell me the last time he was there, he was supposed to replace it but didnt because the house was too noisy from the flooring guys!?!?!? Unbelievable. So they lied to us about replacing it! The next issue was the outside uplights. Two days after we moved in we noticed three bulbs out! So I called and they asked if I had sprinklers in my flower beds. Uh, yes, who doesnt? And why would that matter? they are outside lights. So they wanted to try replacing the bulbs. Didnt fix it, so they replaced them with a more expensive enclosed light, AT AN EXTRA CHARGE TO ME! The issue there was, why even allow me to purchase the wrong lights in the first place. Apparently, they were the cheapest lights they sell and gave me no option of a waterproof light during selection. The next issue was the overhead cabinet lights in the kitchen. They have had to replace three of those since we moved in. Now, it sounds like, hey, they are fixing everything and trying to make him happy, right? Right, but why are all of these "nice" fixtures so cheap and failing so easily? The last issue was the patio fans making a loud humming noise. They kept telling me, we dont know what could be causing it but we will replace the fans and see if it was a bad batch. Fine, they replaced them, didnt fix it. Their next idea was to order a new fan, supposedly had to be shipped, on a boat, from China. Six weeks later, after I had to call several times to follow up with them, i finally got in touch with the owner. He proceeded to tell me that if they come and replace the fans with a different brand (the ones that had to be ordered from china) and it doesnt fix my problem that he wants to just refund my money. I said fine, thats a great idea, that way I wont feel obligated to involve them with the issue anymore, i can take my 180 bucks elsewhere and get fans installed correctly. So,they come, replace the fans with a different brand. and just to describe the fans, they look like they are the exact same fan but with a different brand name on the string. Still humming.... So the tech leaves, no call or followup from the owner or saleslady for two weeks. Finally, I call and leave a voicemail, no return call. I call again, leave a written message, owner Lee, calls me back and his first words are, im not giving you your money back unless I can come get the fans. So im dumbfounded. Hes obviously fed up with trying top make us happy as if its my fault his lighting products are so crappy and constantly needing repair or replacing. Hes a complete @#%* to me and proceeds to tell me im one of those impossible customers to make happy. Had no interest in holding up his end of the bargain. Told me it was my idea to replace the fans when, in fact, all I wanted was the humming to go away. I didnt care how they did it. A very rude guy, who thinks its respecful to call you bro and dude. Fort worth lighting is one of those places that just doesnt get it. They think they can sell a crappy product and blame the products issues on the customer being picky. They may have saved a buck by not doing what they promised but they lost way more than that buck in repeat and referral biz from me.
