Came here "just to look" but came out with some choices I am REALLY excited about! These folks have an amazing selection and it was a pleasure just to look around. When I found some things I kind of liked, but were not quite exactly what I wanted I finally asked for some assistance. That's when Kristal came to the rescue. Her knowledge of the products both inside the showroom and available through special order guided me to exactly the light fixtures that I envisioned for my kitchen makeover. I seriously just told her the look I was going for and what I did and did not like and she took it from there and matched exactly with about the second or third light fixtures that she recommended for me. I did not even describe the lights to her I just said I was going for a French country kitchen look. Don't be fooled. The staff at this store can't be bothered to help you if they think you have a small item, which could ultimately become a larger item. Consistent with other reviews on here they just can't be bothered. I took the time to call back and speak to the owner himself but his response was pale for an owner of a business. Worst experience and extremely rude! No one ever greets you! Two women were standing behind a desk and I had to go up and ask them for what I was looking for. The lady replied there is a slim chance we have that and didn't offer any advice so I replied ok should I just go elsewhere since she gave zero help and she replied yes. If you run a business I don't care If it's toilet paper you don't just reply go look somewhere else. The manager himself said they do not help people find small items. So you can't be bothered to help a customer with a small item but you can with a larger one. The 2 women were also bragging about a women who lives in Vaquero that bought 2 $16,000 dollar chandeliers along with their name. If I was that client I would be very bothered by that. This place has gorgeous light fixtures out the wazoo! Hubby and I decided this past spring to replace some butt-ugly ceiling fans and pendant light fixtures in our 1995-built house (what was with all that polished brass??) There we were early one Saturday morning freshly awakened from, well never mind that. Anyway, there I was for some reason staring at the ceiling fan in our bedroom. Polished brass, white lacquer body and blades. I felt ill. I said "Hubby, I can't stand it anymore. Let's go to Passion Lighting (we'd been there before when we redid our outdoor lighting the year before with something that didn't look like Edison built it himself). So off we went to Passion Lighting. Not only was our bedroom fan a problem, but every other light fixture in the house was in close competition. To make a long story short, this place is packed with great looking light fixtures of many styles. My neck was sore from looking up at the ceiling for so long. The light fixtures here not cheap, but they do seem reasonably priced for quality products. While we didn't replace all of the fixtures in the house (at least not yet), we did replace about half a dozen. What a difference that made! The staff at this store are very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a small-ish locally-owned store (with a lot of stuff) but not teeming with staff/consultants. Don't get me wrong, they have enough staff for the size store it is, but if you go on Saturday, go early if you want advice from one of the consultants and don't want to have to wait too long (or make an appointment). read more

Worst experience I have had with an alleged electrical contractor. I definitely overspend to have an install of new ceiling fan for our second bedroom in our house. This is after I have already spent close to $2000.00 with this company in the past 18 months. This company blamed the cost increase on COVAD but the truth is that it is my Southlake address which resulted in the substantial increase in cost of implementation. When they arrived to install the second ceiling fan which was supposed to reflect the previous year purchase for our daughter room inclusive of control switch, they literally had to come back and charge me another $85.00 for a new switch which is basically a Rastatt. When I question them about it they said it would void the warranty to re-use the old existing switch. Interesting fact is that it was exactly the same manufacture with the same specification. Truth is they were just ripping me off. Get competitive quotes especially if you live in Southlake. I paid over $179.00 for the install which was higher than the fan. read more

This is who we want to do business with. After we purchased our front porch light as we were picking our light up the owner said they had noticed a few imperfections on the light and he would like to credit us back $75 and asked if we still wanted the light. The imperfections were not very noticeable and we were delighted. Again this is who we want to do business with a honest fair family run business. You don't see integrity like this very often usually you have to fight for what is right. I will defiantly refer them and go back. Thank you Passion Lighting!! Customer service was very disappointing. They promised to return my call multiple times and never did. When I was in the store, two of the sales ladies walked around the corner and I heard them whispering about me. It was unbelievably rude. More importantly I had purchased a substantial amount of lighting (3 light fixtures, $1000, and a $300 mirror from them. The mirror was too big to fit under the light fixture. After being told by the sales person she would try to find another mirror for me. I waited about 3 weeks and never got a call back. I finally got her on the phone and was told she would never be able to find one for me. They wanted to charge me $80 for shipping plus 15% restocking to refund the mirror and it would only have been in store credit, although they had said we can not get a mirror that size. I had already returned the mirror but was told all this later. I asked the owner for a refund and he asked if he could call me back and guess what? He didn't. Never heard a word. If you want to shop somewhere where the people only want to help you if they believe you are wealthy, this is your place. If you like paying someone money to move a box 40 feet to a storage room for perfectly new, unused merchandise, this is your place. read more

We began looking at lighting by ourselves until Nina finally made eye contact with us and felt like she had to come over. She was not knowledgeable on the products. Just came through the whole store. I have bought two lights this week at other places but I need two more. There were several sales people working and talking with each other. I did a big lap through whole store slowly. Not one person asked me if they could help, nor paid me a lick of attention. We worked with Kelli to pick out all the lighting for our new house and it was a great experience. They've really expanded their product offering since last time we were in and were able to order pretty much anything we wanted that they didn't have in stock in a relatively quick fashion. Kelli was very patient and helpful and overall a pleasure to work with. If I had to "take off points" for anything it would be the owner/manager (couldn't tell which). Kelli had to "consult" with him on what they'd charge us to ship some of our items. It appeared that the guy was a micromanager who just randomly decided what he wanted you to pay that day. That part should probably be eliminated or standardized, but if you're buying in town and don't have the shipping element, I'd highly recommend Passion, and Kelli in particular. read more

I could not believe the incredible amount of gorgeous lighting throughout the show room. They have fresh baked cookies daily! Compared to their website, Passion Lighting's showroom was a big let down. The in-store selection was overwhelmingly traditional. What really bothered me was that they refused to honor the prices available on their website in their store. If you purchase from one of their salespeople, you may end up paying more than if you were to purchase exact same item from Passion Lighting online. read more

This is a place of two faces, great selection and order process, but it falls apart if you actually expect to get your lights. I was told 7-10 days for arrival. I called on day 8 to be told that none were in or expected before day 10 and that one was back ordered for almost 45 days. I explained that I would pick up those available when they arrived. Fast forward to day 30 and I was still waiting on a call to let me know that they are ready. When I called back I was told they don't actually call to let people know their order is ready until all had arrived even though I had specifically told them I would pick up the ones not on back order. Just called again and was told they have thousands of customers and can't possibly follow through on every order. Well, hopefully with one less customer then can start to focus.
