Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. It is a bit loud in there (we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation) but it is also a vinyl place so you would expect them to show off their music.

The Mccaviar was so good, I never thought of pairing lebneh with caviar and now I think I'll have to replicate this at home. The drinks were delicious as well. I wish I got photos of everything as everything was presented so lovely. Shout out to our server Taylor, she was a joy. Maybe once it reopens in Boulder I'll take the drive to visit again.

And from that point on, from first taste, I knew my experience would be exceptional. The service was attentive without being overly attentive, and the chef's were so kind, answering every one of my weird questions about what they were preparing or ingredients that I noticed. I ordered the smoked burrata to start. The balance between the candied pistachio, artichoke pesto, and wagyu cecina really created a well balanced and unexpected dish. The burrata was creamy and the salty and sweet components balanced the aged sherry gastrique and made for an incredible intro to a beautiful performance by the chefs. Next was another small dish, which I wish I remembered the description for (I need to bring a little notebook with me), but it was a perfect segue into the next course, the ibérico presa. Wow. Just wow. White asparagus has got to be one of my favorite vegetables next to artichokes, when done exceptionally well, as they most definitely were. The piquillo peppers and pickled shallots complemented the pork, which was so soft, perfectly. I definitely died and went to heaven at this point in the meal. This is probably when I should've stopped eating because after this point, still pure delight, but my poor stomach was soooooo full. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. The honeycomb on top, the cherries, all leading to a perfect finish. A time was had. Thanks El Five

Loved the perfectly chewy ropes of bucatini tangled with crumbled blue cheese, Castelvetrano olives -- and vodka sauce? This should've been a weird disaster, but wound up being our table's favorite dish. Every dish is a commitment to the genuinely unexpected. There was something delightfully more than just salt, pepper and fry behind the eggroll-sized mozarella sticks. Then there was the fig gelato, flanked by warm pear -- and oh my gosh, the apple tart! We had to go back and reread the menu to realize that the caramel really was spicy! This kitchen really finds the funky note in a dish and leans into it. Come ready to share. Every item comes in a "single" and a "mingle" size, which was great for our table of four. We would order 1-2 mingle-sized items, pass them around, and argue about who gets the last forkful. The rough edge is perhaps the service, but this spot is new and finding its rhythm. We found the handoff between counter and floor to be clunky, since it felt like pressure to order in order to be seated, not to order drinks and wait for a table. Maybe this works in a larger space. Maybe they just need to smooth out the flow. Either way, the people are sweet, and the food delicious.

Made a reservation for 9 pm but got into town around 3:30 and they made sure to get me a table right away which was so kind of them and something they did NOT have to do. Kelsey was my server and she was so beautiful both inside and out. Very warm, welcoming and gave me great recommendations that were both personal for her but also worked with me when I wasn't sure about what to get after she recommended a few things. The food....was...SENSATIONAL. The Tostada De Toro I think every person needs to try once in their life. I feel like for whatever reason Mexican seafood is still underrated to the average person as I mentioned to Kelsey. They told me I could eat it open face or use a fork and knife so I tried it both ways starting with the first couple of bites open face. To be honest you could eat this upside down in a blizzard and it would be great, it was that damn good! The people sitting next to me giggled because I looked like I was having a foodgasm from my reaction to every bite. Then the Aguachile De Erizo had me licking my lips and then eventually drinking the "broth" (hope that's the right term) to the last drop with Kelsey's full approval hahahaha. I had never tried Uni before and what a great introduction it was. I kept finding pieces of scallops and uni in my mouth after and it was such a pleasant surprise. The Non-Alcoholic Colada I actually had first and it made be feel like I was on a beach somewhere. Delicious! The only downside to the meal was that I had to walk through the city after I left so I couldn't keep eating more which I really wanted to. But that's a blessing in disguise because I'm so excited to come back and try even more dishes that I didn't get to and I immediately recommended it to friends who live in Denver but were out of town and couldn't join me when I was there. Again cannot say enough about the service and the atmosphere which was so sexy. It felt both relaxed and accessible while still feeling upscale. (I mean I walked in with a backpack and a sleeveless shirt and didn't feel out of place or too dressed down at all. And if I was the staff didn't make me feel this whatsoever). Finally one more shoutout to the entire team for making it a great experience and make sure to ask for Kelsey as your server she's one in a million! PS my forgetful self forgot my wallet at the table and Kelsey came running out to bring it to me with a laugh and a smile. So somehow even after my meal they were still finding a way to be the best!

I've been staying at home, but was out of some of the beer I wanted to use. I went out for another errand and happened to pass by Cask and Craft. Hmmm...this sounds interesting. Plus it's a local shop, and I'm all about supporting local, particularly during this time. I pulled up Cask and Craft's website and was super happy to see the list of precautions they are taking to keep their customers safe. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you. I then explained from a distance that I was looking for a dark beer, preferably a stout. I was escorted to the back of the store and shown the fridge with all the dark beer. WOW! big selection. I had the choice of 6 packs, 4 packs, or mix and match. This was perfect for me because I needed 5 beers. I ended up selecting Jackie O's Java the Stout. When I brought up my 5 pack, the owner told me it was a great beer (one of his favorite dark beers) and that it was a solid choice. He was not wrong. This beer is awesome, and paired so well with my peanut butter cookie pairing. So good. I will definitely be back to Cask and Craft. Their shop is filled with all different types of wine, liquor, and beer. It's organized so nicely, and the shop itself has this comforting vibe when you walk in. I'm so appreciative of everything they are doing to keep customers safe and for the recommendations they give.
