This place was absolutely delicious!! Make reservations ahead of time as it gets booked very quickly. We got seats at a dining table but you can also sit at the counter where you can see them making the food. I preferred the dining table. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! I got the paloma for my drink - refreshing and tasty! We got the following to share between 2 ppl (I forgot what the actual full name of the dishes are): toastada - highly recommend, so good!! Could eat the whole thing myself carne - this was essentially beef tartare - SO GOOD- Loved the chile sauce kampachi crudo - very fresh and tasty! burrita - this was porkbelly burrito- highly recommend!! I dont usually love burritos but this was a hit - great mole! pollo - this was okay, I think it just needed a bit more flavor but was still good We were pretty stuffed but we also had lunch around 12 and our reservation was at 4 lol Would come back if I was ever in denver!!!

Absolutely phenomenal food. This definitely deserved its Michelin Bib Gourmand! The tostada de toro was my favorite dish not only here, but probably out of any restaurant in Denver. However every bite I had was delicious and I have zero complaints. Even the beet spritz was delicious and refreshing, and I normally dislike beets. The service was great! Would 1000% come back.

Got lucky and was able to snag a res at the bar. Service was really great. They took the time to go over the menu and make recs based on your preference. The vibe is super chill and fun here. Definitely get their signature dish: the tostada de toro. Every bite kept me wanting more. But my favorite bite of the night had to be the Burrata Con Huitlacoche. Never had anything like it before. It was creamy, tangy, crunchy and of course so flavorful. Would highly, highly recommend. The drinks were really great too. Honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu tbh.

Truly an amazing spot. You can't go wrong with any dish but a few stood out to us. The tostada de Turo is phenomenal- a must get, the carne Apache was a major highlight & the bARRIGA DE CERDO was delicious as well. The Aguachile De Erizo was a bit fishy to me - I'm blaming my pallete not the dish, and the Pescadilla De "Marlin" wasn't out of this work imo. Overall tho, everything from the food, service (shoutout to chef fish!), drinks (colada !!!!) atmosphere was phenomenal. This spot is a MUST visit in Denver.

Small and intimate setting for a delicious meal! I'm a fan of Alma Fonda Fina, so I knew I had to try out their sister restaurant. Even though I'm not a mezcal fan, I loved the beet spritz cocktail, and it wasn't too strong. Service was great, and everything was super flavorful.

This spot is small and intimate with only a few tables, and the vibes were great. Feels lively but still cozy. Service was amazing. Super attentive, checking in often without being too much. 9.5/10. The loud music makes it tough to hear other tables, but since the seating is close and intimate, you can still easily hear the people you're with, which I actually liked. Food was elevated across the board. The tostada de toro was the standout. So fresh, perfectly balanced, creamy from the avocado with a nice crunch from the shell and sesame seeds. 9.5/10. Everything else was solid and flavorful, just not as memorable. Around 7.5/10 across those dishes. Drinks were good too. The daiquiri had a fun bubble gum flavor that I actually liked. 8/10. The corn sour was interesting with the mezcal base and surprisingly worked. 7/10. Loved that the drinks were strong. Overall, a really solid Michelin experience with great vibes and standout bites.

TLDR: 500% YES. JUST BOOK IT. Dry-aged Toro... never have I ever had that before and I feel like I've been missing out a little. Uni Aguachile was also phenomenal. Honestly, just order one of each from the menu bc you really can't go wrong with whatever is on the menu! We definitely ordered quite a bit for the two of us (and there are some dishes that I forgot to take pics of). The Arroz a La Tumbada De Hongos was like a warm hug in your belly. No other way to describe this comforting feeling lol. And you really can't go wrong with getting their pork belly either. Their menu is small enough that I know you'll be able to eat thru the entire thing. I have faith in you. Also, for a Michelin-started restaurant, everything here was surprisingly reasonably priced!! We were expecting to take a second mortgage on our house, but we didn't have to! Just our first born. Jk jk.

This use to be ProsperOats but Mezcaleria Alma did amazing job transforming this limited space into cozy but modern eatery. A Intimate, rustic-chic, with a chef's counter and bar seating. Definitely a place to interact. We were gifted to come and experience this restaurant. Originally, our first visit was to Alteño and did enjoy the offering that was presented in unique way. One thing that stood out was the dry aging Toro on display at the mezcaleria. We have tried most of their flag ship offerings. Two things that stood out for me was the tostada de toro and Costilla de res. Of course, I had check Yelp photos and reviews before coming and those two stood out. We did order few other dishes. All of them were delicious in very unique way. Very different. Servers were very professional, changed out the utensils between meals and always within reach if you had questions. $150 later, we were happy!

What a wonderful experience. I had a near 10 hour layover so decided to checkout some highly recommended spots and this was at the top of the list. Made a reservation for 9 pm but got into town around 3:30 and they made sure to get me a table right away which was so kind of them and something they did NOT have to do. Kelsey was my server and she was so beautiful both inside and out. Very warm, welcoming and gave me great recommendations that were both personal for her but also worked with me when I wasn't sure about what to get after she recommended a few things. The food....was...SENSATIONAL. The Tostada De Toro I think every person needs to try once in their life. I feel like for whatever reason Mexican seafood is still underrated to the average person as I mentioned to Kelsey. They told me I could eat it open face or use a fork and knife so I tried it both ways starting with the first couple of bites open face. To be honest you could eat this upside down in a blizzard and it would be great, it was that damn good! The people sitting next to me giggled because I looked like I was having a foodgasm from my reaction to every bite. Then the Aguachile De Erizo had me licking my lips and then eventually drinking the "broth" (hope that's the right term) to the last drop with Kelsey's full approval hahahaha. I had never tried Uni before and what a great introduction it was. I kept finding pieces of scallops and uni in my mouth after and it was such a pleasant surprise. The Non-Alcoholic Colada I actually had first and it made be feel like I was on a beach somewhere. Delicious! The only downside to the meal was that I had to walk through the city after I left so I couldn't keep eating more which I really wanted to. But that's a blessing in disguise because I'm so excited to come back and try even more dishes that I didn't get to and I immediately recommended it to friends who live in Denver but were out of town and couldn't join me when I was there. Again cannot say enough about the service and the atmosphere which was so sexy. It felt both relaxed and accessible while still feeling upscale. (I mean I walked in with a backpack and a sleeveless shirt and didn't feel out of place or too dressed down at all. And if I was the staff didn't make me feel this whatsoever). Finally one more shoutout to the entire team for making it a great experience and make sure to ask for Kelsey as your server she's one in a million! PS my forgetful self forgot my wallet at the table and Kelsey came running out to bring it to me with a laugh and a smile. So somehow even after my meal they were still finding a way to be the best!

Excellent restaurant, and amazing dining experience overall. My boyfriend and I came in and sat at the chefs counter for dinner for our anniversary and had the best time. The food is spectacular and the service is just as great, the servers are attentive, helpful and very friendly to chat with. The tuna tostada is a must order, though every bite was fantastic. The cocktails are unique and delicious as well. We cannot wait to return and try more dishes.

Mezcaleria Alma is absolutely AMAZING!! Tonight my beautiful wife and I came here for date night and Chef Jorge totally showed us the love!! Every plate we tried was beautiful and tasted absolutely delicious! I can totally understand why this place made the NYT top restaurants in the US list. The service is phenomenal, the food is phenomenal and the final bill was totally reasonable. Go here if you want a beautiful dining experience with someone special!

Great experience. Amazing flavors in combinations you wouldn't make at home. The service is top notch! Looking forward to trying the other Curiel restaurants in Denver!

Wow. Seriously wow. I've never said this before, but if there was a 6 star option on Yelp, Mezcaleria Alma would get it. Everything is perfection from the delicious food, the outstanding service, and the beautiful decor. I know this sounds like hyperbole but dining here was an experience I'll never forget. Let's start with the food. Everything was perfection. Our favorite was the aguachile de erizo (scallops and uni). The Santa Barbara uni is to die for. I'm not even a fan of uni nor scallops but the dish was so good especially with the aguachile. Do not skip that dish especially if you like a little bit of spicy. The Tostada del Toro was next up. This is the dish that everyone gets here and for good reason. First off, look at all those chives. The tostada shell was amazing with a nice charred taste to it and the aged toro (aged 3-6 days) was so flavorful and melted in the mouth. The burrata con huitlacoche was the most unique burrata dish I have ever had. The combination of the toasted bread, savory burrata, sweet nut crunch, and the unique taste of huitlacoche (Mexican caviar) was so well-done and just all fit so well together. Last but not least, the tres leches. Hands down, the best dessert I have ever had. Not too sweet and just heavenly. Do not skip this. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" after every bite. Second, drinks. I love mezcal. If you are a fan of mezcal or tequila, this place is a must go. I was given a free birthday shot with a side of crickets (I hate bugs but try it, it's actually really good), orange, and wormsalt. We got the Stinger and Colada. I was warned that the Stinger is a love it or hate it drink. I personally enjoyed it but it is very in your face with the herbal taste. The Colada is much easier. Last but not least, the service. Jorge, the sous chef, deserves 6 stars alone. He really elevated our experience which was already great to next level. He took care of us professionally while also being very personable. I would highly recommend getting a seat at the chef's table if you can. If you are celebrating an occasion, trying to impress a date, or just want a phenomenal meal, I can't recommend Mezcaleria Alma enough. I'll be back soon!
