    Poached pear salad + chicken
    Adam M.

I had the poached pear salad with chicken and a cappuccino, which ran me $36 + tip. So not cheap. But the food was exceptional, chicken was obviously brined first and had a ton of flavor, and the presentation was A+. Also enjoyed the ample seating options.

I love that they don't have tvs on the wall. They have art and they do cool events here and music is great. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and fast. They showed us the whole place and there's a cool upstairs for events and area in the back too. Lots of space here and beautifully put together. Our cocktails were on point. And of course Ryan got a marg and I got one of their lemonade cocktails. Loved the onion dip and the sandwich the meat was sooo juicy ! We enjoyed our visit and will be back again soon. Check out their happy hour as well!

I got a vanilla latte and sausage burrito. Both were great and I love that the burrito was toasted. Got some green sauce on the side and that was also delicious. Haley and the other staff members were very nice and I appreciated their hospitality. It was pretty quiet but there is music that started playing louder around 1p, not obnoxiously though. They had a calligraphy class going on in the afternoon, but we were still able to hang out and chat with our breakfast. Seems like they have a lot of different fun events going on and more coming out soon! We will be back thank you!

I got the berry and Chantilly iced coffee with in-house berry compote. This was SO good. The place is extremely stunning and HUGE. The staff was super friendly and very helpful when ordering.

    Chantilly cake

We had the charcuterie board which is a nice combination of cheeses and meats. The crostini was lovely. The marinated olives were soft, juicy and yummy. I also enjoyed the crab cakes with lemon zest. We finished with Chantilly cake which was a delightful combination of sweet and sour. Price / quality ratio is outstanding! Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place.

From the ambience to great…read moreservice to unique wines to affordable food menu prices, my experience with this place almost 3 months ago was quite mesmerizing. Although I had waited this long to write about the place, everything I experienced back then still lingers in my brain. Hence, I am taking the time to write about it. I was going to utilize the "stand up bar tasting of however many wines you can sample" at the price of $20. Unfortunately, the bar was full for that. I was thus kindly asked to get a table and do a flight at the price of $10. What? Only $10? Sure, why not!?!? My waiter (young man in his 20's) was most welcoming and kind-hearted. I forgot his name after the passing of the time. His attentiveness was top-notch. After getting a few suggestions and advice from my wonderful waiter, I went with Roussanne and Orange Muscat as white, Malbec, Carignon and Cabernet Sauvignon as red for my wine flight. Let's not forget to mention. Balistreri's wines are all natural Colorado wines with no sulfites, no additives and are not filtered or fined. What's not to like about all that criteria that they can offer. For food, I got the cheese board ($18 as of May 2026.) I looked at other menu items and the prices for them were quite reasonable despite the fact that this place emits very high-end restaurant feel. After all, this is a family-run business that cares about serving people in the community. I feel that this is their way to say thank you to those who support them. In a neighborhood where three different interstates intertwine, unless someone told you about it, you wouldn't think such a place existed in this North Washington neighborhood. I discovered this place while ago. I am not sure why I had waited this long to visit and see it for myself. Better late than never. Palisade is a gem in the western Colorado but it's at least 4-hour drive from Denver. If you want to save some time and spend some quality time at a winery in a beautiful setting, Balistreri is within your reach.

Then when he did acknowledge me and I stated I would sit at the bar, it took several minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. The staff was busy speaking to each other and doing side work. Once I was acknowledged, things started getting a little better. When I arrived during breakfast/brunch, I was informed they were in the middle of a menu change, so my choices were limited. Breakfast items include bacon and burritos. I started off with a charcuterie board (though I had asked for a fromage board). This was not only because I wanted some tasty cheese, but I was trying to kill time until the lunch/dinner menu started. The board was a great board, two different meats, three cheeses, a loaf of bread, some nuts and jellies. But it was 40 dollars! I had a few small plates (which was still a lot of food). I had a melon and cucumber salad, which was a good palate cleanser. I also had the roasted king mushrooms, which were underwhelming with no seasoning, and they were a little chewy. The best thing was the wild boar meatballs, which were seasoned really well and in a savory, delicious marinara sauce. All the cocktails were fruity (but not sweet) and refreshing. I had one that was carrot based (Kiss my Carrot with tequila, cointreau, carrot, orange, and ginger), one that had pineapple flavor (paper boat with rum, falernum, aperol, lemon, pineapple), and the smoky smoke and flower (hibiscus mezcal, cointreau, pama, rose water). This spot is a winery, so they have a large wine list. They have handhelds like burgers and flatbreads. Starters like artichoke dip and bruschetta. Some of the current entrees, which might change, are hanger steak, chilean salmon, cauliflower steak. They had a gnocchi dish I was interested in, but it's already been removed from the menu. The restaurant is classy and just like a winery is expected to be. The food is pretty good. But the service was really subpar.

As an office lunch, Grandma's chicken adobo rice bowl was perfect. I got a meal and a half out of it and it was so nice to have something delivered that was in budget and felt like real, simple, nutritious food. The meat, despite being a chicken thigh, was a tad overcooked, but still tasty nonetheless. It would have been great to get a packet of soy sauce or something with it to amp it up. Most of us got the same entree but my coworker also ordered the pork belly bites with his. Some were juicy and tender, others were on the stringier side, but all nice and saucy. I'd be curious to try other items on the menu but given what an excellent lunch the adobo chicken made, I may never be compelled to stray.

I was…read moreprepared to wait, I have a brain and realize they didn't have 20 ready for me and they aren't psychic. Anyway, I ask if they can please cut them in half. Not a big deal, I was just thinking not everyone wants a whole and if someone is extra hungry they can take two halves. Just thought it would make things a tad easier. They tell me no. They can't/won't cut in half. Ok, whatever. I don't understand what the big deal is, they obviously posses knives... just cut them instead of saying "no". So stupid. 20ish Minutes after waiting, the person who took my order said it would be 30 minutes to make. Which was weird cause what was going on for the last 20 minutes? 30 minutes to wait is fine, if you don't waste the 20 mins prior resulting in about an hour wait. So, I declined as now we are talking an hour to get 20 simple breakfast burritos. I needed to get to work and I wasn't wanting to wait an entire hour and they just wasted 20 minutes of my time not prepping anything, so I decided not to go with the burritos. Someone came to refund my sale and then preceded to kind of scold me for not ordering in advance. He said something about for an order like 20 burritos they want 2 days heads up. GTF outta here. It's freaking burritos. You don't need 2 days to make 20 burritos. And here's the thing, I'm not here for a lecture because I attempted to give YOU business. And I won't be back, either. When you get a customer to purchase your goods, be happy. Provide them the goods. Make it as soon as you can. Don't say no for no reason. Don't make anyone feel bad for trying to give you business. It would have been SOOOOO simple to make the burritos and quick run the knife through them. But, no, the choice was to do nothing for almost a half hour, to refuse to run a knife through them as asked, and then lecture a customer for coming in to order 20 items. It's not like I asked for 100. What if 10 customers came in and each ordered 2? Can you do that? Do they get lectured, too, or...? See ya.

This is a timed, coursed dinner where the entire room sits and eats together, so arriving on time is essential. The menu changes often and is never repeated, which makes the experience feel special and creative rather than formulaic. Standout dishes for me included the duck doughnut, the wood ear French toast, the venison burger, and the leek cappuccino. The kanpachi crudo and scallop with tamarind were also beautifully balanced, and desserts like Cash's Apple and The Sphere were thoughtful finishes rather than an afterthought. One of the more memorable details was the menu book at the end of the night, featuring the chef's original sketches of the dishes. It's a small touch that really reinforces how personal and considered the experience is. If you're looking for a unique, chef driven tasting experience that feels cohesive and well executed, this is absolutely worth a reservation.
