I would highly recommend you give him a call before visiting the office as it may be possible he's out on a job visit. The times me and my boyfriend met with him were always pleasant, with clear communication, and as others mentioned, not pushy. When you visit the office in person, you will be impressed at the great variety of cabinets they offer!! They were one of the only companies we found that had honey shaker cabinets in stock (and trust me, we visited basically ALL cabinet stores within a 20 mile radius)! Tommy was quick on the turnaround time to give us a quote, gave us great advice on our design choices, and to top it all off, his prices were VERY REASONABLE! Once we placed our order, the cabinets were delivered within the next few days, and our contractor had no problems installing the cabinets. After making the decision to redo my kitchen, I did a ton of research on quartz countertops. Fortis came out at the top with pricing and selection. The owner Tommy is very professional, helpful, and definitely NOT pushy. Once I decided to go with Fortis, he came by my home to give me a quote and then sent another person to come by and take precise measurements. My countertops were custom cut to my specifications and once ready, his team of 3 came by to install in one afternoon. Tommy also stopped by during this time to make sure the project was going smoothly and to my satisfaction. His main installer was knowledgeable, helpful, and answered all my questions. Originally my sister and I stopped at Fortis S&C to see a specific sample that my parents had picked out from another cabinet company in Pico Rivera. We called ahead to make sure someone was there. Sure enough there was. We drove on over, met Tommy. He was really nice and allowed us to browse the samples while he was working in his office - I really like that, because it made us comfortable to pick up the samples, look at them closely and not feel any pressure. We thanked him and went on our way. Several weeks later the original cabinet company we were using raised the price a 3rd time. We were very upset and I took out the Fortis S&C business card, connected my dad with Tommy. We told him upfront the issues we were having with the other company. He said he would give us a fair quote. He did. He also gave us a timeline of events, the renderings of the kitchen based on our design (he included the accurate measurements and made some awesome recommendation, e.g. a spice cabinet, a pull out trash cabinet). This gave us a great impression of how he runs his business and his overall work ethic. Not once during the entire job did the quote change, nor the timeline. He kept his word, brought the best workers to install the cabinets, and the quartz counter top. We cannot say enough great things about the experience!!! Pictures are worth a thousand words so take a look at the final kitchen and decide from there. One last note: a few days after the kitchen was completed we noticed a few issues (which we expected), Tommy had one of his guys here in 48 hours working on fixing it in time for our family Christmas dinner! We worked with Tommy at Fortis Stone to redo a kitchen in my Mother-in-Laws house. He was very professional and communicated well throughout the process and that made what might have been a rather stressful process quite easy. He did all the work promised, as promised, in a timely manner. The prices were lower than most places we had checked and I got the impression that he was helping me, not selling me like used care salesman. He was able to create a rendering of the new kitchen on the computer just like on the remodel tv shows. there was one corner that seemed like it would be a bit weird due to the sizes of everything fitting into an old footprint. That never happened because the installer fixed the trim and made adjustment so that the entire kitchen fit perfectly.
