A few months later I started showing, and subsequently - fast forward to December of 2024 - I bought my first horse with Hannah's help. Hannah has made me feel incredible comfortable in a completely new world. She knows her stuff and looks after the horses incredibly well. I always love my time at the barn and Hannah has helped me push myself to improve. She is an incredible riding instructor and trainer, and I truly can't recommend her enough. She has made fall in love with the sport - that also helped me through some pretty challenging personal times. Highly recommend if you are looking for a family like barn experience.

Hannah is extremely patient and kind and has helped me along in my very short riding journey. I value her as a trainer and friend so much! She is extremely compassionate and understanding. She will never make you feel bad about your riding, rather provides positive feedback and a plan of action for improving at your pace. The barn is like a second family. From the horses, the riders, and their families, Laurel Ridge Stables has really created a safe space focused around community, determination and good sportsmanship. I always joke saying I'm healing my inner child but it's true. Working with Hannah and the horses have changed my life. This barn is a show barn, so the barn participates in shows in/out of state (mainly in Texas). I started showing this year and it's such a fun way to get more involved and work towards a goal. No matter how young or old, there's always room! The lesson program is wonderful and each horse has something to teach (just be sure to say thank you and give lots of treats)!The horses are all well taken care of and barn is beautiful. There is an outdoor bathroom on site and a sink to wash your hands. If you thought about horseback riding and didn't know if it was possible, please know it's completely feasible and worth it! The school itself is a bit hard to find as the small road does not have a road sign but there is a small sign for the riding school but you have to look hard for it. We were looking for a one time event for a birthday. They offer 30 minute lesson for $35. Perfect for us. The lesson includes an introduction, brushing the horse, about 15 minutes of riding in an enclosed area, and the brush down afterward. The horse we were assigned was calm and gentle. Ms. Sara was patient and clear in her instructions. The little one felt comfortable and enjoyed herself. We are happy with the experience and I would recommend it.

We limit the number of dogs we accept; this ensures every dog gets the attention they deserve. Dogs from the same family only can exercise together. Horse Boarding and Horse leasing are offered in a variety of tiered plans, depending on the needs of the horse owner. We offer self-care, partial-care, and full care. Horse Leasing can be a short or long term commitment, you decide. If you want a horse just for the summer, lease just the summer months. We have very affordable, flexible plans.

The staff are so patient and kind. The amount of care the animals receive is just indescribable. I'm not an animal woman at all and these horses were gentle, patient and so sweet. I faced my fears and pet a few and I want to go back just to see them lol. The facility is very well-kept and clean considering what it is used for. I recommend taking your children for horse therapy and rehabilitation. If applicable to me I would be one of the first to sign up.

As a volunteer, the staff treats you with respect and like you're a family member-after all, the program only survives on volunteers for classes to assist the instructor in each class. Ellie is the volunteer coordinator and she is so easy to talk to and makes it easy to communicate with her via text/email! She and everyone there make a point to thank you every time you come in too! Why do they need volunteers for class? Well, As many as 3 volunteers could surround and support a beginner or riders with more emotional or physical needs by holding them in the saddle, maybe just putting a hand on their leg so they know they are safe, etc.... While maybe 1 volunteer would be used for an experienced rider to simply lead the horse. I can't say enough about this place!
